Id say move up to 147, it has to be the Cotto fight, id say Cotto is the favourite, but this is the fight i want to see now.

Cotto at 140 would be best for Hatton. Would Cotto move down? Malignaggi at 140 would also be interesting.
Stay at 140......the big names will come to you from down below.
I'd reckon Hatton is at his best at 140, and having demonstrated his lack of power at 140, I'm not surprised at Hatton's reluctance to accept the defeat that was inevitable.
No way Cotto comes down, Malignaggi, i can honestly seeing this being his next fight, but i think Hatton is to strong for Malignaggi.Quote:

Cotto will never ever fight at 140 again. If he does I'll eat my own shit.Quote:

Cotto at catchweight in the Garden (my back one!) would be the perfect scenario for me

All I know is Hatton fought great. The problem with Hatton is the busy active fighter style is good and exciting and wins for awhile, but eventually he will lose a bit of the activity and he will lose big time like alot of the aggressive type fighters. Look what happened to Tyson. And I am not saying Hatton has the power of Tyson, but I like his heart. But what Hatton has similar to Mike is that his success is dependent on activity. If that activity slows a little with age or lack of motivation the style all of a sudden becomes ineffective. But all the credit to Hatton. Forget that talk about Castillo being washed up. yeah he was not the fighter he was in 2005 but so what. He had not slipped much. Those left hooks to the body were what stopped Castillo not the wear and tear as much.Quote:

Hatton and mayweather would be huger (its a word) on this site than any other fight out there. It probably wouldn't be as hyped up as the de la hoya fight, but im sure it would have a shot at getting more buyers.
Hatton is an exceptional fighter but Mayweather stylewise is just too quick. Hatton does something similar to what Marvin Hagler did. Not the same punch but a similar move. Hagler used to leap in with a right hand jab and leap in the air and land it total commitment. Hatton does the same with his left hook.. Totally commits. That is the move of a great fighter who is confident. Hatton has to use the next two years and fight really good fighters because after that his style will fade. He looks really good. Stopping Castillo in 4.Quote:

No...... he won't. The only way they'll ever meet is if Hatton moves up to 147.Quote:

I don't think the other fights at 147 are viable for him,I don't think his style would be effective at that weight.
You'd think 7 pounds is no big deal, but in this case it is. Hatton would have trouble with any of the top welterweights at the moment. On fighting Paulie, I happen to think it's a good matchup for Hatton. Paulie is known for his lack of power, so with no deterrent to stop him, Hatton would walk right through him. Paulie would be unable to keep Ricky off of him.Quote:

I think Paulie is a deceptive puncher and the key to beating Hatton is timing. I'd favour Hatton but remember,Paulie dropped Ndou which not even Miguel could do with his hammer fists! He doesnt have true power but he managed to generate some because his punches are sharp, fast, they type that once in a while, you don't see coming. I'd favour Hatton but it would be a great fight.Quote:

What do you think of a Floyd fight Tito?
You mean Floyd-Hatton?

I think it depends. At 140, it might be more competitive than people might think, if only because Hatton owns 140 right now, and Floyd's best weight is 147. At 147, it'd be no contest, IMO. Floyd's too slick, too much of a boxer, and wouldn't fall for Hatton's swarming, clinching style.Quote:

Unlikely. My guess is Floyd wins a rather easy decision. Doesn't say that Hatton is not a good fighter. But the difference between Castillo and Mayweather is big. Especially in speed.Quote:
