I don't see Witter beating Ricky....I have never been that impressed with Witter.....Is he a good fighter?...Yes but not a P4P fighter...Hatton is P4P and deservingly so
I cant see it, everytime i have seen Witter do 12 rounds( this is at a slow pace) He hasnt impressed, Hatton would take care of Witter imo, saying that i think he is one of the stronger guys at 140.
I cant see him fighting Witter he hasnt even sorted his fight out with Harris yet, Hennessy won the original purses but couldnt get a date and venue, now i think the purse is up for grabs again this friday.
Who says Harris doesnt beat Witter anyway?
He's certainly an awkward fighter and he'd frustrate Hatton, but I've a feeling he'd be too negative and content himself with just trying to spoil and survive.
I reckon Hatton would win a tough, extremely ugly 12 round decision.
As a big domestic showdown I'd like to see it, but as a style matchup I'd say this fight could be a contender for shambolic huggy running mess of the year. I don't think HBO would want to cover it.

Regarding Castillo I thought he looked very fast and sharp in the early stages, but as is normal for Hatton opponents they get ground down and taken out. Its quite predictable often, the only question in my mind was which round - I thought 9-11, but was earlier becasue the opening appeared
If Castillo was shot how come the majority of USA punters expected him to win is the question that comes to mind.
I'd take witter he likes to fight on the back foot and would counter hatton all night.

Witter should have fought more often since he won the title. One fairly boring fight against a B list opponent in nine months is not the way to go.
He should have fought every couple of months (against Mora type guys) or a couple of bigger names to keep his profile high.
I was up for a fight between them in the past but Hattons in another place now.
Only a win against Harris or unification against M'baye could up Witters ante.
Seen Junior a few times up close and when he turns it on he's well capable of giving Hatton big problems plus he can bang.
Slick operator Witter but agree he's been too inactive but he looked very impresive last time out and finished in style.
He has the awkward switch style that is confusing and he's a great counter puncher too ;)

Hatton would crush him, Witter wouldn't be able to run from Hatton, no one gives Hatton his due credit when it comes to his speed and movement, he finds fighters that don't want to be found.

Witter is dangerous early , but has stamina issues,
its a bit of a pickem fight :)
I think this would actually be a decent entertaining fight. Witter would certainly be awkward, but he would be forced to trade often with Hatton, as Witter can bang as well it would be pretty competitive as long as it lasts.
It'll never happen though, Hatton doesn't want it. Witter is the new president of the who needs you society, too much risk for little gain.

Witter's style is wank.....he barely beat Kotelnik and Colin Lynes with it. He confuses himself with his switch hitting, runs out of ideas and then coats through the last 3 rounds cos he's knackered.
I think Hatton would find it difficult early on cause of Witters unorthodox style but as the fight wears on he would cut the ring down and give Witters head & body a good beasting and would get the KO by round 6 imop. The only reason I would like to see the fight is so Witter would finally shut his trap up calling Hatton out but I think there are far better names out there for Ricky now like Cotto, Mosely, Mayweather,ODLH etc and they all are far better fighters than Witter!!
