I've never taken Kimbo serious, b/c of the jokes he fights in the street, and beating Ray now in an MMA fight isn't anything spectacular, and neither would beating Tank now....If he wan'ts to be taken seriously he needs to fight some real competition. Either get on with a legit MMA org or be a boxer, but quit fighting in these circus like events.

well hes gotta work his way up tho, he cant just step in with nogueria or barnett, this will be a real good fight for him, he can get some more noteriety, and get another few months of training

Tank might be old but... He has expeirence all round. He will bust up Kimbo.

Just a thought but since Kimbo isn't a boxer and Abbot isn't a boxer does this post belong elsewhere? Don't mean to rain on your parade Sal but I think there are other sections of this forum for this type of post.

fighting tank abbott int a step up for kimbo its just a step to the side, tank has no stamina at all so it wont be much of a test of kimbos stamina (if he has any now with the serious training he is doing), tank has no ground game so it wont show if kimbo has worked on that, and to top it off tank aint won a fight since 2005 and before that win his last win was in 1998, tank is a nobody who got a few lucky knockouts under his belt but that fizzled out years ago now he is basically a filler if someone drops out of a show like he was at cagerage 21

I've never really taken Kimbo serious but either way you look at it you have to give Kimbo credit he used some great moves against Mercer for a beginner and he stopped Mercer many on here including me thought Kimbo would get ko'd now im taking a little interest in Kimbo.

i've always said that kimbo aint half bad, for a street fighter. he does things that you just don't learn on the street. slipping, bobbing, weaving, etc. the man has spent some time in the ring and hits hard.

I graduated from UNCG with a BA in Psychology


Kimbo shows some skill BUT he also fights guys who have no business fighting him.

Kimbo leans forward too much and is due for an uppercut from SOMEONE who can punch.


You can't think Kimbo would do well as a BOXER....he does need to shave his beard though it's too big and bushy and absorbs too much of a punch

Sucks that Mercer got his ass beat. Abbot IMO is less dangerous of a fight even, I've seen Abbot's last fight and he got his fat ass kicked by a guy who was 1-1 in MMA! Tank damn near ALWAYS gets his ass whipped, he has zero stamina and if he can't blast a guy outta there early, he's fucked.

I haven't seen tank fight in years but i can only amagine he's gotten fatter. But hey after this fight do u think kimbo will fight Butter Bean I actually could see the bean smuther him in mma or ko him in boxing. and then theres always tyson :o

Tank Abbott has lost 7 of his last 8 fights, he's washed up. While he's fought some big names, he's lost to them all. The only thing he has going for him is his experience in MMA, nothing more. Tank Abbott doesn't belong in the ring anymore, and I don't think Kimbo ever will either.

Kimbo needs to prove himself by joining a camp and fighting in a real organization. Until then I'll never consider him more than a bottom rung fighter.

This has got to be bullshit? tank is seriously SERIOUSLY limited as a fighter. He was good fun in his day (he's now totally washed up) cos he sure can bang but lets be honest...Kimbo would fucking murder him! (based on kimbo's MMA debut)

tank has a burst at the begginin of a fight where you think he is gunna win then he is basically a sitting duck until he is tapped out or knocked out
