Trinidad Comeback confirmed....Most likely against RJJ
Yeah baby. I don't know why but I am fired up.
http://www.fightnews.com
You gotta hand it to the guy he doesn't pick em easy. Out of Taylor, Maywether and Jones Jr, RJJ is probobly the toughest because of the weight...Assuming it is at 175. I hope he doesn't make a fool out of himself and gives Roy all he can handle.

Re: Trinidad Comeback confirmed....Most likely against RJJ
Roy will K.O Tito because of the weight difference, this the wrong fight for Trinidad.
-
Re: Bwwwwwwaaaaaah ha ha ha ha ha!!! Tito to return against...
My knockout senses are tingling. ^-^
Trinidad must like being beaten by the best fighters of this era.
I hope he doesn't get mangled and embarresed but i seems likely

Well judging by the patter (PBF, RJJ) he might consider Jean Marc-Mormeck next. :D

I threw up a little in my mouth when I read this. This would be a big clash of names but I couldn't have less interest.

Here is the report. It is in spanish.
I guess they are thinking that Roy is also past his prime and he has been KOed badly twice. They are stating that this fight is more realistic than a Maywether fight because Tito is a bit heavy and might have problems going down to 160 so soon. Also it mentions that fight might be at 170, not 175. Still, its a tough fight for Tito. I don't know what to expect from this.

Re: Trinidad Comeback confirmed....Most likely against RJJ
..For one.. Nobody said what weight it is so dont go jumping to conclusions of roy bieng to big for tito..
And secondly its more likely that roy comes down in weight as he has infact offered to make a few weights against the likes of taylor, calzaghe etc..
still..This fight has come about 7 odd years too late

Come on, who are you kidding. These two guys could be in their 50s and would still generate interest. Tito has been in the front page of the local news paper for the better part of the week. It won't be PBF - DLH but it will generate some dow..believe it.

I know that but I couldn't care less about it. This fight, at any point of either career's, would have NEVER been a good matchup but right now it's beyond pointless to me. I know the networks will eat it up but this is just a ridiculous fight to be made.

Not really.. Its like winky - Bhop.. When i first heard of it i thought..Well it might be a defensive match..But i was never disinterested by it.. Because the names are there, and the style match is more intriguing then it is excting..
And thats how big fights can be..They are interesting in so many more ways..
Niether are prime right now, perhaps roy is further past his prime..
But its something that if its signed it must be watched

Roy will never make Middleweight again.

Unless Tito can't make it to atleast Supermiddleweight no way is this fight happening and i wouldn't want to see it either.

im unsurewhether he is willing to fight upwards thou..
super mid should be the highest

Re: Trinidad Comeback confirmed....Most likely against RJJ
IF Roy wins his next fight this fight would make sence...for Roy. Tito is the perfect style for Jones, and I doubt he would be a big puncher at Lt. Heavyweight. Trinidad is making a mistake if he fights him thinking he is washed up because Jones is still a washed up light heavyweight and Tito cant compete with that at this point imo. Middleweight was even a struggle for him.

Re: Trinidad Comeback confirmed....Most likely against RJJ
Wowsers! i hope this isnt just a rumor?

Re: Trinidad Comeback confirmed....Most likely against RJJ
I'd be willing to bet any money this fight never happens.
First, Roy has to win on July 14th. That's hardly a sure thing anymore considering Roy's age.
Then, Roy and Tito have to actually agree to money terms. Roy is one of the most stubborn fighters out there, so I have big doubts they'll ever be able to agree.
Then, they have to agree on weight. There is no way in hell Roy Jones can make 160, I have serious questions about whether he can even make 168.
I've said all along... if Tito comes back for a big fight, it will be for a rematch with Oscar.

Re: Trinidad Comeback confirmed....Most likely against RJJ
I'm thinking of taking my sig out and change it!!!! withe BAZUKA
Sig changed Tito out. He has to win if he wants to be part of my Sig again ;D
-
Re: Trinidad Comeback confirmed....Most likely against RJJ
I remember when Trinidad had just beaten joppy, Jones team wanted roy to move down to Super middle to face Calzaghe to prepare him for Felix
Now how stupid does that sound in retrospect ;D
-
Re: Trinidad Comeback confirmed....Most likely against RJJ
Could you imagine if Tito came back at 168lbs and started knocking people out? Yeah me neither ;)

Trinidad is probably banking on the fact that Roy was knocked out twice recently. But I think Roy handles Tito easily. Who do you guys think has more experience?

Re: Trinidad Comeback confirmed....Most likely against RJJ
I think it'd be a good legend fight, and at the stage of their careers, as they're both past it they can consider it a big win for whoever wins. However, it's no more than that. I'm still happy to see it though.

I think I'd probably tune in if this fight was on TV, even if neither are in their prime, and they're both fading names. However, the winner of the fight would probably have a justifiable claim to go on and get some sort of an alphabet title fight. If it is made, I don't think Tito should go above Super-Middle, cause RJJ surely can make that weight, he wasn't looking totally toned at light-heavy last time out.

Re: Trinidad Comeback confirmed....Most likely against RJJ
But will Trinidad just fight then retire or stay active as long as he wins then lose then retire

Ah yes, he probably just saw a new yacht he'd like, so thought he'd fight once more to buy that....but then, he might see a new sports car he wants...fight once more....who knows.

If this fight being made means Roy will fight at 160 he fight will not happen. I have seen pictures of Tito lately and he is bigger. I think he probably thinks he can handle the higher weights. My guess is 168 or 175

I can't wait to see it! He's gonna pull in some big bucks RJJ and Tito would make a packet from this.
