noticed it before for november and it says that if its at 154 and 147 both floyds belts will be on the line. but if its at 140 no belts will be on the line.
This is getting intresting but im starting to get excited!

140 doesn't make any sense. 147 is probably the best bet for this fight and if floyd wins this, maybe theres a wright-mayweather fight in the future for 154.
I posted a topic yesterday saying it was tentatively announced for November 12th. It's on the UK forum if you can't find it in the main, but nothing is signed, so I wouldn't get your hopes up just yet.Quote:

Not sure about them being at the top of their game. Ricky is, but Floyd has been retired for a long time now ::**...well, longer than most of us thought he would be! ;DQuote:

Hatton has been calling out floyd tho. You can't call somebody out and tell them to fight at your weight. ???
i know but im saying IF ricky wants the advantage! if you get my drift?Quote:

He's knocked off several great (not necessarily ATG) fighters at their respective weights already. Hatton winning at a higher weight would get him more credit. Setting it up to make it look like floyd is making the move for the tougher fight as opposed to hatton making the move for a tougher fight just isn't in hatton's best interest i would think.Quote:

i would be happy even if he took the fight nevermind winning it! shows us brits hes a man and is a true risk taker... thats my ricky....Quote:

Floyd looked pretty good at 140
even though he didn't have the best competition and only three fights.
He beat Corley soundly even though he got rocked he still knocked Chop Chop down twice.
He destroyed Brussels (sp.?) knocking him down twice as well with the doctor forced an end to
it (TKO 8.)
He put on a flawless offensive game against Gatti TKO 6. Knocking Gatti down in the first and ultimately
outlanding him 168 (57% accurancy) to 41 (17% accurancy)
The fact that boxrec has it listed means absolutely nothing. They list a fight the second it gets rumored.
I was about to say the samething. I have seen this numerous times with other fights and they didn't happen. But I am keeping my fingers crossed because I really want to see this fight.Quote:

Gatti - Awesome performance and showed all the good things (in the ring) about PBF. On the over hand gatti did look shit scared and for once in his life looked like he didnt have a clue never mind a game plan. Do you know he even asked ricky hatton what he should do a few hours before the fight? Given all that though PBF did look the biz that night.
All im saying is that at 140lb he hasnt done anything of any note, where as hatton has shown he is undeniably the best at that weight.
However i think if the fight was to take place at 147lb then hatton can weigh in at 144/145lb and still keep the speed and stamina he has at 140 but will not be the muscley slow fighter he was when he fought at 147lb - He can do this against PBF as PBF normally comes in lighter than the limit and is not a fighter that uses his weight and strength in fights.
No smoke without fire eh?

I beat you to it smash ;D a few days ago. but still i cant wait!
Boxrec is wildly inaccurate Smash and tend to jump the gun... the end of last week someone posted the same info... :-\
Hopefully a news link will come out soon if its indeed true

I think this is probably bang on info ;)
The timing and place they have named sound genuine to me :)
Breaking News for me and 4 quite many others, yes, I believe it will happen... I think it's fair to say both guys have no way back now or just have to back it up, still is a A+ fight in prospect between undefeated fighters on their own personal peaks but it's difficult to understand how their styles will match up.
Floyd has already stated he'll ko Hatton so he's gotta at least try and back that up especially with an ego like his :)
Ricky has really got under his skin with what he said post Castillo imo and the build up is gonna be hillarious as Ricky is simply too quick and witty for him and will make him look the fool he is :)
Just don't see Hatton beating him :-\
I doubt Ricky's really got under Floyd's skin ... Floyd always talks like this before a fight, and about how he's going to KO the opponent ... even when he doesn't even come close to it or look like he's trying to.
Just pre-fight hype. I think Floyd's not going to get too charged up over something like "there was more excitement in these four rounds than in Floyd's entire career ..." That's pretty mild stuff. I fully expect Floyd has a much more professional approach to the fight in actuality. He just wants to get us excited. (Is it working?)
Not like Hatton was saying he wanted to eat Floyd's kids or anything.
It's just the calm way he said it that would have annoyed Floyd ;)
It wouldnt suprise me.... Ricky never met a buffet line he didnt like  ;D     Just Kidding, Ricky is a good lad and good hearted person, he is great for the sport  ;) although I do feel like he is walking into the helicopter blades fighting Mayweather  :-\Quote:
