in vegas floyd will dominate
no one can compete with vegas $$$
This is rather simple...
1. Vegas is the boxing capital of the world.
2. Both these fighters have contracts with HBO, an American company, so obivously HBO wants a major PPV event to be in the US, not the UK
A fight in the UK would have been cool. But this is just the way it works.
Floyd simply isn't going to come over to England to fight Hatton. And in America this is where the money is at.
OMFG!!!! :oQuote:

How the f*ck would Vegas generate more revenue than 60,000 plus at Wembley Stadium?
Impossible...the gate reciepts alone say that is utter b*llshit 8)
Floyd won't fight in England ever i reckon but then again why should he because he is the one who can call the shots due to his status.
I'm expecting hand picked Judges and an enormous ring if it's in LV :)

....why would floyd go any where else ??Quote:

Was wishing kenny bailis would ref this fight - would like to se ehow hatton does with a ref who wont let him act like someone out of the WWF
You have said it yourself Preme, you have to go TO the champ, in a fight.Quote:

Except for a title fight in Vegas,in a 20K arena,your looking at 1500 to 2K a ticketQuote:

You can't compare the revenue in a 20,000 seater to that of a 60,000 seater at all!
It’s a shame really. The atmosphere there would be next to nothing.
The Coliseum wouldn’t have shat on Wembley 8)
Floyd is embarresed to fight over here because not one fan would put their hand in their pocket to fly over to support him.
:)
Or he doesnt want to fly over there for a 16 Million gate, when his last fight had a 19 million gateQuote:

He's got the fanbase of a kiddie fiddler ;)
Well if Mayweather came here i would be cheering for him. ;)
So it's true he'd have his whole fanbase in attendance for it ;D
Yeah mate but wouldn't you like to go see him? I don't know about you but I can't afford to fly over to vegas. A fight at Wembly would be massive.Quote:

If it was at Wembley i would definately go and watch i am a Mayweather fan but been its more than likely at Vegas it will be good old skysports or setanta for me.
Good point. Americans are stingy when it comes to the lenghts they will go to support a fighter.Quote:

Wembley would be nice but just wouldn't happen, Vegas is the boxing capital especially for a fight this big.
I just hope it it happens in Vegas, both styles are considered. 20x20 is fine but Hatton's strength is up close and Mayweather's is hit and run. If the ref pulls them apart every time they're in close he should put them back together whenever Mayweather runs!
lol!Quote:

I mean fights in general, including this one, surly there are places in the us, big places that can stage fights and hold 40-60k or even more?
that amount of people would bring in a butt load more of cash surly?
Once upon a time yankie stadium was the place to fight at, shit they would have over 100k turning up for the fuck of it... not we get like 14-16k on vegas?
I think it would be great to have the fight in Wembley. When I said Las Vegas was where the money was I didn't mean just the ticket sales. They count on hotel reservations, gambling, dining, drinking, etc. I'm sure you UK folks who went to see the recent Hatton fight were able to get package deals, etc and left the businesses involved with a whole bunch of money. Vegas is more about emptying people's pockets while at the same time making them think they are having one h*ll of a time than hosting boxing matches.
i dont care where they fight
