Burley was a welter boxed middles and L/heavys rarely weighed more than 10st 10lbs, use to put weights in his pockets to weigth heavier, good lists sugar

What about Mike Tyson?

Tyson shouldn't be on there either cause most of his wins although in devastating fashion aren't against elite or prime fighters, plus he's lost the two biggest meaningful fights in his carreer (Holyfield and Lewis)

How can Gene Tunney and Jack Dempsey be that high ?? Hearns is way too low at Welterweight other than that pretty good all round list.

IMO billy conn is way to low.

Guys, all of you who say "____ is too low" or "_____is too high" just read the title of the thread MY top 10 fighters....it's SugarShaw's opinion...if you disagree post your own top 10 but you don't have to tell him what to think.

I highly doubt people will agree 100% on ANYONE'S top 10 for the original weight classes, there are way too many fighters to list to not have some differences

I love Harry Greb at #1 at 160. Another thing about Greb he fought 34 bouts in one year. In my opionion he was the best. He would often fight guys way out of his class and destroy them. To bad the good lord took him home so soon.
294 bouts and 7 losses.
