Kessler, Miranda or Lacy?
??? Not sure what the question is. Explain please & I'll be happy 2 give my opinion..
Kessler doesn't really have a lot of hype about him. I mean he's pretty much judged as what he is. He's a very good fighter who some feel can beat Calzaghe while others don't. He's not really heralded as a world beater and there aren't any sort of major US dollars behind him, I mean he's having difficulty landing a network right now. I would say he is even underhyped as far as that goes.
Lacy has some skill, he was supposed to be America's next big boxing star, was in a Super Bowl commercial and everything and I think it was a lot of wishful thinking with the style. I still think he will be a champion one day, I definitely don't think he's peaked and even if he has, he had a good run going.
Miranda is a bit of the same way, except I think Lacy is a much better fighter. Not quite the accomplishments of Lacy but he can pick it up too. But he was overhyped in the way of people saying that he was the most ducked boxer in boxing. Far from it and he had it put to him.
Who is the most overrated fighter since year 2000?Quote:

I'm not a big ambassador of the word "overrated" but of the three IMO Kessler & Lacy are at a higher level than Miranda at this point.
Who would win Kesser against Lacy?Quote:

1) VERNON FORREST BABY!!!!!
There was no train, he was established, and in everybody's top ten.... now we all don't want to see him fight. ;D
and with hbo on his back he had a future hall of fame fights ahead of his career.
2) Close second is Ricardo Mayorga...
I remember I thought he could beat Oscar way back when :lolhaha: go ahead and laugh at me.
And your choices are pretty stupid.... why's Kessler in there, he's hasn't lost yet?
Once he losses and then continues to lose... we can say he was overrated... but he looks good.
And Lacy and Miranda haven't left the boxing planet.
I beleive that Lacy has the tools to beat Kessler if he fought the right fight. But if the Lacy that fought Joe (1 dimensional/straight ahead) showed up I take Kessler to win somewhere btween 8-10 out of 12 rds.Quote:

None of them are overrated..
Lacy is just young and got beat by a better fighter
Miranda the same.. He didnt look right in that fight anyway not like he has before.. All props to the ghost though..
And Kessler..Are you kidding me.. Like hes somehow been exposed.. Hes undefeated and still doesnt get the credit he should.. ::**
I really never liked using/hearing the word "overrated". :goodpost:
Yo Amat, do you think Lacy has a better resume than Pantera?
Yeah I do. It's kind of difficult current fighters, but I think he does no question. Not going to go into to much detail but Lacy had 6 title fights and lost one to a great fighter. And Lacy's record goes a lot deeper, I mean he was brought up really fast, the first 2000 Olympian to win a title in the pro ranks.Quote:

He did have a loss to Ottke but that was about the most crooked fight of all time, he got penalized for punching Ottke. Not joking about that one.
So yeah I think there is little doubt that Lacy has a more stacked resume. It's not going to blow anyone away on paper but definitely outmerits Miranda's. He did catch a lot of fighters on the tail end but they were still good.
I think a closer comparision would be Kessler - Lacy. Kessler has had the benefit of staying active so I definitely think he takes it now but around the time of late 2005 it was close.
At least kessler and miranda fight good fighters Lacy has fought 1 in calzaghe and then fades away , hes a limited bum !!!!!!!!!!
He tore his rotator cuff in the 2nd round of a 10 round fight against Tyspko, Jackass!!!! Thats like a Marathon runner tearing his hamstring in the 1st few miles of a race and still finishing it and winning ::**Quote:

This should have been a poll. It's not the same unless you can "cast a vote."
Anyway, I'm going with the most recent embarrassment--Pantera.
Lacy was hyped, but at least he stumbled in a title fight.
Kessler has no business being on this list... he is underrated IMO.. kessler has done nothing but dominate....
Lacy: you cant really tell right now he might of been overrated a bit
but lacy is probably underrated at the moment...
I think kessler would knock Lacy out... or beat him in a wide margin on the cards...
miranda was overrated for sure... he was concidered the top middle weight threat and one of the most feared fighters....
lacy got beat by a peaking p4p calzaghe....
miranda got ktfo by a up and coming contender...
Taylor isn't overrated he may of had some lacklusture performances but in no way is he overrated you can't argue with his opposition at all.Quote:

if you dont acknowledge that than u let your bias blind you severely that you make yourself look like a f#cking fool ;)
Jeff got hurt bad in round 1 and 2 vs Calz, still had the fortitude to stay on his feet , Jeff fight on auto pilot , a lessor man would have been cashed out right there, Jeff showed guts in that fight. a good kid Jeff Lacy,His last fight he had rotator troubles , still finished, pulled out the win.. great fighter Jeff LAcy. overated fighters show lack of heart, non of these mentioned have done that.Quote:

Lacy has 1 loss on his record... Many fighters have been considerer upper echilon after numerous losses... to write off guys like Miranda and Lacy then throw dirt on them is extremely premature at this stageQuote:

like i said that is the definition of being overrated..
When someone presents a multiple choice question, in this case the answers are...
a. Lacy
b. Kessler
c. Miranda
...you should pick the one you think is best. Kessler is underatted so he is NOT the MOST overrated. That leaves a or c.
In this case I pick c, Miranda. Of the three he would be the MOST overrated.
I am not saying that Pantera is a meaningless twit just that of the three choices given he would be the MOST overrated of the three--even it was just a 1 on a scale of 1 to 10.
Miranda's the worst fighter of the three IMO so I guess him.
completely agree gorilla ccQuote:

Its easy answer in Lacy. Great natural strong physical guy but thats why he got hyped so much cause of his pure power. His boxing abilities when comparing especially to Kesler are very limited.
Miranda i think for being a puncher type may be bit overrated in that aspect but at least he can bring more elements by being a pressure fighter in your face.
Kesler is still underrated i think in USA as i he has huge punching ability but people seem to forget about him having one of the best jabs.
yes and no... right now i think kessler is close to the p4p top 10... but as of yet is still unproven...Quote:
