Khan toughest pro fight to date
So Khan fights his first proper pro fight imo on Sat
but...................
Has Limond been hand picked as he isnt a huge puncher ??
Limond is a technically good fighter but not known for being a ko puncher
His career has been at Super featherweight (he went up to lightweight get the commonwelth title)
i dont see Limond getting intimidated by the Khan hype he seems as though he's going there to fight and to win
Do you see this as an easy win for either fighter ???
Khan has obviously been tipped to win and i hope that if that does happen its not easy for him
i wanna see him have to fight
FIGHT i tell ya !!
so whats ur opinion ?
-
Re: Khan toughest pro fight to date
I think at least Limond will be there for 7-8 rounds and he will try and hit Amir back.
-
Re: Khan toughest pro fight to date
Yeah!!!
and this is wat we need to see from Khan b4 WBO ranks him anywhere
personally i wanna see him flat on his arse but maybe im just a h8er lol ;)
oh shit is that a neg click i see coming my way now???
:twak:

Re: Khan toughest pro fight to date
:) This fight will see Khan live up to his image,he will put on a display of speed and power punching, that Limond will have no answer for,and the ref will have to stop the contest to save Limond from any more damage inflicted by AMIR, ;)

Re: Khan toughest pro fight to date
easy win for kahn, the one half decent fighter limmond fought he got beaten badly by.
kahn by a wide wide ud, warren definetly picked the easiest title imo which is fair, but i dont think people should be judgeing kkahn on this more than any other as hes only beaten 3/10 fighters his whole career which is why he has a decent record... on the other hand i do hope he proves me wrong and givesd kahn the fight of his life

my point exactly!!
he has a decent record on paper but wen u look at the ppl he's been fighting
ppl who have full time jobs aside of boxing
Khan doesnt
i wont rate Khan till he is properly tested !!!!!!
and knowing Warren it'll take a little while for the cotton wool to come off

indeed and thats not a bad thing, but as i said and you did he should be judged on this fight because limmond despite a record that is technically better than people like judahs if u dont look at the figthers fought is a merely average fighter.

its nice to have someone share my opinion about Khan

Re: Khan toughest pro fight to date
I like Kahn i think he can become world champ but at the same time i feel he could be found wanting at top level i hope he does well as i am a fan just hope he does'nt let his family take over like Naz did.

Khan wins by yet another dubious decision where the ref stops it prematurely and Limond has been carefully selected with a poor KO record but loads of experience and khan has leapt up suspiciously high in the rankings imo too. :detective:
Alex Arthur reckons that Khans in for a tough night as he was himself when he fought Limond but i think Khan is gonna finish him around the 5th and he did look good last time out and finished with a sickening left hook to the body that had his man physically being sick minutes after.
I still don't think we've seen anywhere near the full potential of Khan who's starting to properly fill out and throw harder punches with every fight these days and his skill and speed will always be there.
And like my mighty Tottenham badge i think he'll shine on Saturday but do wanna see him really slapped about a fair bit next time out by a full blown Lightweight for his first Pro test ;D

If he's anything like the spurs he'll always be in the top 10 but never make it into the top 4 ;). Ah well, there's always the commonwealth title to fall back on.
Personally though, I liked the way Amir looked last time out and he's sitting down on his shots a bit more, but Limond isn't going to roll over and give up his title, so I reckon Amir wins a fairly tight points decision, after a flash knockdown.
-
Re: Khan toughest pro fight to date
At least this is Khans first test. Limond aint no mug. If Khan does a number on him it'll be saying something.
-
Re: Khan toughest pro fight to date
At least Limond will want to throw a punch, unlike Bull who turned up just to have his head caved in. This is a step up and a step in the right direction. Don't forget there is a title on the line here and Khan is playing the domestic game as it should be played. IMO - Win this and then fight for the British Title.

Apart from that Drilzane bloke he hasn't fought that many proper lightweights either yet.

No that was bullshit even thought the ref counted it.

How is he playing it as it should be played ???
by decieving ??cus that how i see it
he going on tv saying he'll be world champ within a year (that was nov 06)
then fighting ppl he knows wont giv him a prob
i have no problem with how boxers progress its how they all do it
but by then spouting ur mouth off and saying im the best etc........i should have this shot that shot
well prove it or be quiet
thats wat pisses me off about khan and thats y i h8 the hype that surrounds him
he hasnt done a single single thing to prove he is worthy of the ego rub up he gets off ppl
in a few decent fights ok maybe just not yet ;D

Re: Khan toughest pro fight to date

Re: Khan toughest pro fight to date
there is no doubt he we will IMO! I think he is a good boxer and he will do something in the end, he just needs more fights on a higher stage and this fight is a good indication of that, lets hope he can stop limond and fight a tough lightweight fighter which will get him noticed even more.

plz tell me u r taking the piss????
r u honestly saying khan could defeat ppf in a 4 rounder
a good boxer maybe/not a gr8 one yet!! he has done nowt to prove this
i dont hope that he stops Limond i want Khan to be taught a lesson
you onli open your mouth and brag when u've done something thats worthy of that
the pro fights khan has had so far do NOT showcase his skills that wont happen till he fights a decent fighter .Limond has been hand picked by Warren he's had one fight at light weight and he wasnt a heavy hitter in superfeather weight
he ait getting fights on a higher stage yet because he needs toprogress otthat which is how it should go and i aint arguing with that.
so he should stop thinking he is bigger and better than everyone else until.............and if................. he proves it

why would i be taking the piss? He is acctually a pretty decent fighter and i feel that he is definatly capable of stopping limond. I didnt say anything about floyd-khan in a 4 rounder and i know for a fact floyd would win.....
I feel he needs the bigger name to show people that he was fighting bums to build up a bit of a record... i do feel he will be a champ one day.
-
Re: Khan toughest pro fight to date
oh right ok lol
just above u is a post about khan saying he could beat ppb floyd in a 4 rounder and ur post started off
there is no doubt he will imo
lmao
so i thought u were saying you've no doubt he could beat ppf lmaolmao :lolololol:
as for the rest ok pretty decent fighter not gr8!!!!!!
he has capabilitys to become a champ
ONE DAY he aint one yet
-
Re: Khan toughest pro fight to date
I remember when he said he was going to beat Naz's record and become youngest British world champ that ain't going to happen.
-
Re: Khan toughest pro fight to date
I think kahn wins alot easier than people think... this kid is fast becoming somethign very special... sure he hasn't had the toughest of tests yet, he is still very green and very young... but this is a good step up IMO, and i think they will stay on a steady course after this...
-
Re: Khan toughest pro fight to date
I'm happy he's finally fighting someone that will finally hit back....he still wins easy imo though.
-
Re: Khan toughest pro fight to date
I agree with you Preme its a good step up infact its a massive step up only fighter to beat Limond is Arthur it will be a good fight.
-
Re: Khan toughest pro fight to date
Its a step up alright, but lets not get excited. Limond couldnt punch his way out of a wet paper bag, thats why he got the job. Amir will be way too fast and way too good for another none puncher, at least this time its a pretty handy non puncher.
-
Re: Khan toughest pro fight to date
I'm really happy with the way Khan has been progressing. So far he's always done the business in the ring and has looked more impressive with nearly every outing.
I wanted him to get KTFO at first but now he's on the verge of proving himself I hope the British public will get behind him.
Ricky and Joe ain't getting any younger and Amir is far and away our best hope for a future P4P star so I'll be rooting for him.
He should win this easily enough and then set up a fight with John Thaxton which will be a decent test.
But he's progressing nicely and imo is looking every bit as good as ANY other prospect out there right now.
In fact I'd say he's the hottest prospect in the world right now...........

That is 100% correct, I can guarantee you will not find ANYONE that will pick Khan to lose this one.
(barring Limonds family, friends and staff)

imo its not that he hasnt had the toughest of test's yet he hasnt had ANY test yet
and still spouting about how good he is
if he'd have held the mouth until he'd done something worthy i dont think i'd have such a problem with him
but he didnt and so now he grates me lol

Thats good for khan tho... all these fights are there for him to learn from... this guy will give kah a test for boxing, make him think, use his head and box.. he has only had a hand full of fights, don't think JCC Jr jad any one tot est him in his first 20 sumin fights tbh...
People wanna see khan fight some of the top guys out there right away 'coz there is alot of talk about him etc.. he is progressing real nice IMO and matching him up witht talent that lacks bite, and bite that lacks talent will be good for him now and in the futre, then slowly blend the two together...
-
Re: Khan toughest pro fight to date
I was their when he fought Rachid Drilzane he was a right tough cookie Amir had to go full 10 he fought a great fight i thought that was a good test for him at that stage I would like him to go for British title after Limond then European title couple of defences then by his 20th fight perhaps a world title.
