Getiing Hypnotised on Friday

I have realized for a long time now I have a serious eating disorder, which I just cannot control. I know exactly what I should and shouldn't eat, I must be the world's expert in dieting, but what some people probably don't realize is I don't pig out through greed, I literally cannot stop myself, it's like heroin to me.

So I lost 100 pounds last year, and have now put 57 back on :( and am in rapid free fall back to what I used to me - so last resort is hypnosis.

The guy I am seeing comes highly recomended and specializes in weight and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The idea is to reprogramme my brain so that I just eat like a normal person

How did your brother get on with it, he keep the weight off?

Im my own worst enemy when it comes to diet and excercise as well to be honest. Like you mate I know whats required to shift weight but I just dont do it so I hover just a bit heavier than I'd like to be. I'll get stuck in for a while, notice a small change and think the hard works done and not maintain it.

I too was a heavy and a eater..
Still am an eater, but i dropped 80, and just keep hittin the back 5 days a week to stay in shape.(spar once and awhile)

My Boss smoked almost 2 packs day, then 10 years ago he scene a hypnotist didnt even have an urge he says.

I hope this works out for you. Is this going to be a one time deal? Are you going to any followup appointments? After you go through hypnosis you should start putting that diet expertise to good use by setting up an eating plan. Replace all the junk in your fridge with food that won't add on extra tonnage. And remind yourself with affirmations why you're doing it all in the first place.

It's going to be how ever many sessions it takes really - average is about 4 to 8 sessions (£50 a pop though :()

Whew that's tough, at least if it all works out you can see it as a long term health investment. There are people that have done the hypnosis to themselves and succeeded. It's hard to rewrite any deep engrained habit, it's easy to pick up the habit, it's a real effort to learn how to do the opposite.

Be careful that they don't regress you back to your childhood or bring up memories of reincarnation.

I got arrested for kidnapping Madeleine McCann after I was hypnotised ;)

I hope this works out for you mr h. I gotta disagree with you when you say you can't help eating though. If you lost 100 pounds you obviously have the ability to control yourself. I know its hard as hell to do for some people and I'm not knocking you. I'm just saying that if you think like that and say its beyond your control then you're setting yourself up for failure. Thats just my two cents on the matter anyway... good luck with the hypnosis.

I lost 100 pounds by not eating at all for 14 weeks (4 shakes a day) I guess food is like a drug to me, i.e you can't have just a little bit of heroin each day :-\
