(Manfredo Jr :Sarcasm:)
Very very close fight that should go 115-113 either way or 114-114. . . . but instead goes to Calzaghe 118-111 across the board.
Unless Calzaghe breaks his hand(s) again (not unlikely), in which case Kessler by TKO within 4-5 rounds of that happening.
I have seen the Lacy, parts of Bika, Manfredo, and Eubank fight for Calzaghe.. and i'm curious as to if his chin has REALLY been tested.. If you look at the Eubank fight, the last few seconds he was doing one of his showy pit pat combos against Eubank while Eubank was on the ropes and Eubank through a punch straight to Calzaghe's head and i TRULY believe that if there were another 10-20 seconds of the fight it would've been very interesting to see if Calzaghe would've made it.. i know that he pretty much dominated the fight, but he took a hard shot and if i remember correctly, he just about fell and was leaning on Eubank tying him up while the bell sounded..
I ask because i think that if Kessler is smart and picks his shots early, maybe even goes to the body, then he'll be able to slow Joe down (i know its nearly impossible) enough to land some bombs to drop him.
I just hope it's a barn burner.
First 3-4 rounds will be interesting but I see Joe landing lots of punches in the latter part of the fight. Kessler is good but it won't be hard for Joe to figure him out and find the openings. UD JC
I want Kessler to win but to be honest ive never seen him fight live , but on his highlights ive seen he looks pretty sharp , however Calzaghe loath him like i do has found a way to win in the past so hey i guess for once its Joe v A GUY WITH A PULSE FOR ONCE ;DQuote:

IF Calzaghe beats kessler like he did against Lacy.. He is everything his biggest fans say that he is....
Calzaghe i think is the favorite in this fight because of more big fight experience alone.... i think Calzaghe is a complete fighter, excellent footwork, great fast combos, has the stlye where he could KO or beat you in 12.... but so can kessler for that matter...
the two adavntages for both would be Calzaghe's speed and Kessler's power.....
and i think the unseen advantage for kessler will be his chin... when kessler gets hurt i think he will handle himself good... calzaghe will be hit harder in this fight than he ever has in his career...
the fight could turn into a miranda-pavlik if kessler starts punishing calzaghe and makes his eyes bleed and hurts his ribs this might be a brutal KO with with the start of a long reign of kessler...
that being said i think calzaghe by ud
or kessler by 9-10 KO .....either om wouldnt surpise me at all
i hope there is a rematch and that this is a real good fight... or the winner vs. taylor-pavlik.... winky-hopkins will play into this too..
I dont really care what you think. In fact, scratch the 'really' from that sentence.Quote:

I know for a fact you are THE PugilistSpecial I know many Joe fans but I only know of 1 Joe fan whos hard core enough to post Joe KO in rd. 1 ;) and that's you.
From what I know you are one of the most die hard Joe fans around.
Should be a great fight no doubt about it.
But make NO mistake, Kess will not get blasted out in 1. 8)
Calzaghe by split decision.
Calzaghe masterclass - UD - and then all the Tards come out saying Kessler was a rookie who hadn't fought anybody!!
P.S - Anybody from US trying to suggest that the UK are guilty of Home Town decisions LMMFAO ;D
Calzaghe is gonna give him a beating like he did to Lacy only Kessler will crumble. This won't go further than the 10th.
Joe proves once again that he's P4P the No.1 :boxingmatch:
It would appear my reputation precedes me....... And believe me, I truly believe Cal will KO Kessler in the first round. Kessler will be like a deer stuck in the headlights..Quote:

His chin has been tested a few times. Against Robin Reid mainly, Joe hurt his hand early and took around a dozen overhand rights in the later rounds which landed clean as he couldn't block them, Reid was considered a puncher at the time as well, but Joe stood up to them. He was also floored by Mitchell with a huge punch, but recovered quickly. He's got a solid chin, not Hagleresque but solid enough as he doesn't get hit as often.Quote:

But i think his style has shown overall he has a good chin a very good chin, he has been hit flush square on many times but has not gone down, but the older you get that sweet spot gets bigger imo, so who knows.Quote:
