Micheal Sprotts Latest Fight?

After eating 52 doughnuts and presumably eating a handful of ecstasy tablets Michael Sprott decided not to fight last night but slouch around the ring thinking God or someone else would award him points for doing nothing!
This was without doubt the non event of the year.
Whatever made him think he could do a slow waltz and turn it into a payday?
No wonder there was hissing and booing from the crowd.
This was nothing short of a total insult to the fans who payed good money to watch a fight, instead they were rewarded with a play about a ghoul in a dream world.
The judges had fallenasleep by the end of the last round (hence the marking)
Hang up the gloves now Michael if this is the best you can offer!

After an amazing night of boxing we get Sprott, im sorry this guy is a disgrace, chance of a lifetime some big pay days in the horizion and he comes in and decides to look at Skelton for 9 rounds, im sorry but i dont want to see any of these heabyweight jokers on ITV again, David Haye should take them on and take each one of the fat overweight has beens in 2 rounds, im sorry but if this is your top of the bill, to overweight limited boxers, id rather go to bed, ive seen better fights between two drunk men outside a club.

Total embarrassment all round Skelton won't get a title shot , Sprott should retire.

neither one of them deserved to get paid for that piss poor escuse of a match last nigth, and neither dserve to get paid again...

while most of us knew neither was deserving of a title shot, or would possibly get one (u never know with warrn tho) they were both aging and said to be fighting for a shot at a world title... and that was what the done to earn it? fuck that and fuck them they were a discarce to british boxing...

Mike Sprott had done ok in boxing for his ability , hes fought on the road many times , after iceing Harrison , to give it away with a none effort is very puzzling.
and as for skelton he is also a disgrace , hes void of any talent and is about 3-4 stone over weight.
i hopw skelton gets Wlad cos id love to see him get blasted out ;D ;D ;D

I will go as far as to say I wish he had taken the rematch with Harrison and been knocked out and thus saved the boxing public from this fight..

And then he can beat Skelton and then get beaten by Sultan Ibragimov.


Either way... of the four of them Williams, Skelton, Sprott, Harrison all that's there for the Heavyweights overseas right now.. harrison probably had/has a bigger chance of making any sort of an impact even if its like a pebble hitting a rock, its a lot better then a boulder sitting by the lake in the middle of summer waiting for the lake to give up..

Skelton was as bad as Sprott. They were equally S*** in my opinion. I'd have called it a "no contest" as it was a fight that doesn't deserve to be acknowledged.

Sprott was always a journeyman fighter, strong but very limited. He was being soundly outboxed by Fraudley until he struck the fortunate punch that changed British heavyweight boxing. I'm not sure why anyone really expected him to be competitive or any different now?

Skelton is an odd one - he came to the sport very late and has actually matured from an all out bully/slugger to something of a boxer (he outboxed Williams pretty soundly in their second fight). However, while he is still learning, it's too late for him to be a real force as he is 41 and remains naive in the ring. Despote having a decent stoppage record, he is seriously underpowered in heavyweight terms and the real world class operators out there would just play with him.

The truth if it is that we are fortunate to have had Williams, Fraudley, Sprott, Skelton etc to generate a bit of domestic interest and competition ........ but not a single one of them is world class.

I can, neither man deserved the win and the two which gave it to Skelton basically gave him points for cheating more than Sprott... they both did nothing... it should have been a DQ if Mickey Vann had the balls for it... or judged as an NC... it was HORRIBLE! ;)

I felt sorry for Matt Skelton he was trying to make a fight but Sprott did'nt want one i think this fight proved how lucky that punch against Audley really was.How did one judge have the fight a draw when Sprott did'nt fight he probably won the first round if he was lucky.

I have no sympathy for him. He didn't try either. The first round, he didn't throw a punch. Second round, the only one he threw was in Sprott's kidney. He should have been DQ'ed for that, it was disgraceful.
