Allan Green vs. Peter Manfredo Jr. Oct. 16th

On the Schedule. To me it seems a fight made for Green. But Manfredo has won two straight since referee Terry O'Connell sent him home from his UK vacation early.

I dont think he has to be honest, in his last fight he looked awful against the stocky novice forgot his name, i think Green wins this comfortably, and hopefully we can see Green v Lacy after that id like to see that fight.

Definitely give Green the edge on this one.. this will be Manfredo's toughest fight to date.. not counting the abomination in the UK.

Easy fight for Green. He will stop Pete. I wouldnt give Lacy much of a chance against Green either ,but better than Pete.
Green will be a world champ as soon as he gets a shot . I think his loss was a fluke.

Re: Allan Green vs. Peter Manfredo Jr. Oct. 16th

The only shot Manfredo has is if he can make Green respect him early I don't think he has
the power or the combination skill to nullify Green's counterpunching.
My prediction Green 10 rounds to 2
WIDE ASS UD

Re: Allan Green vs. Peter Manfredo Jr. Oct. 16th

You have to give Peter credit for continuing to believe in himself and trying himself against the best opposition out there.
However you have to question his team who must surely know he is going to get his ass smoked by Green.
If I was part of Manfredo's team I'd be fighting guys like Jesse Brinkley, Alfonso Gomez and Joey Gilbert again leading to a third fight with Sergio Mora. Hell I'd even match him up with the other Rhode Island Contender guy Gary Balleto. He could probably beat all those guys, pack out Rhode Island and make some nice money in the process.
I think Peter Manfredo is the perfect example that sometimes it's better NOT to believe in yourself ::**
Whoever told him to reach for the stars should really have told him to be content with buying a telescope

Peter is a brave guy but A. Green is absolutely not the best competition out there - why not try Tsypko, Veit or Brahmer?

Agreed. Manfredo has balls, but he doesnt possess the required skills. Im surprised he is jumping into this so soon. I wish him all the best but he is probably in over his head.

What makes you think that Green beats those guys? Lacy could not even defeat Tsypko (at least not if the fight was fought on neutral ground). Even the American broadcast company thought that Tsypko won the fight with one point.

Lacy tore his rotator cuff early on in the fight and beat Tyspko with one arm and has had to take the past 6 months off to recover. If he hadn't got injured Tysko wouldn't have got past 8 rounds, try watching a fight first before you come on here and embarrass yourself with stupid comments.

Why you bringing Lacy into this argument? Mate lacy has noy fought since which is like 9/10 months ago he suffered a major injury and showed what a warrior he was for fighting with it for the rest of the fight, Veit is garbage and Green would Knock him out, Tsypko is a game fighter but very limited id say he goes 12 with Green but Green wins and the same with Brahmer .
Alos Peter will be going into this fight a big underdog, so i think your wrong when you say Peter has gone for a soft touch he has actully shown balls by fighting Green.

Re: Allan Green vs. Peter Manfredo Jr. Oct. 16th

You've got to respect Manfredo for wanting to fight the best (I guess), but this strikes me as career suicide. Manfredo looked slow and weak against Banks, and his defense was god-awful - if it was Green throwing those straight rights that were tattooing Manfredo all night he would've been KO'd by the 3rd round.
Like I said, respect to Manfredo, but Green's gonna stop him and make it look easy.

Re: Allan Green vs. Peter Manfredo Jr. Oct. 16th

Green should be able to whip Manfredo's ass, but I'll be rootin for Manfredo in this one. Green is a jerk who cannot admit that he got beat up by Miranda. I say give Lacy a tune up fight or two and he'll KO either of these two.

How can you say that? Green had an 'undisclosed' medical condition prior to that fight with Miranda.
I don't know what it was and he won't say other than it was a 'medical condition' but I'm convinced.
An 'undisclosed' medical condition is far more credible an excuse than walking pneumonia or broken hand that so many fighters use as an excuse today.
He was suffering an undisclosed how do you expect anyone to win under those circumstances >:mad ::**

Green should win this easy! He has been having medical problems (Colon or something) if he can get that sh*t under control he could be right back in the mix again at 168
