Khan v Earl set for December 8th (Khans in trouble now!)

This looks promising, it would be good for someone to shut Khan the hell up but think Khan as a reasonable chance of winning this one.

Earl looked terrible 'winning' his WBU belt, took a shelling from Katsidis, he's ripe for the taking IMO ;)

It's a decent step for Khan to take IMO. Earl showed against Katsidis he can punch a little, should be an entertaining fight.

I do give credit to Amir for taking this fight.

Looks like Khan wants the best fights for the fans. Khan KO 8.

It's gonna be a top fight this and won't go the distance,if Earl can get to the level he was for Katsidis then he wins and Khans gonna have to box superbly to beat him.
Big respect to Amir for going the proper route and taking this fight! 8)

In a funny way now that Khans china has been well and truely exposed I think it gives him more chance of winning the Earl fight.

I expect both Khan and Earl to approach the fight differently than they would of before.. benefiting Khan.

Agreed. In terms of boxing ability they're in different classes. My prediction is Khan wins by late stoppage.

But regarding the fight, Amir's showing courage and desire to make the right steps in my opinion, but I got to agree with the others who reckon that Amir'll pull through this one. Katsidis' performance over the previous weekend showed that he's no great shakes, and if Earl lost to him, no matter that it was entertaining, Earl is nowhere near world level. Amir is on the rise, and Earl is on the wane, and I reckon Khan will be too quick, and will outbox Earl into the floor. If he keeps his bloody hands up.

Gotta say I fancy Earl in a big way for this one!!!

That's why I said about the Limond fight increasing his chances of beating Earl. They now know for definte Khan has to be totally on the ball at all times. If he takes the piss or goes all reckless gung-ho stylee Earl could end the show.. And Earl DEFINTELY aint meant to end the show.

Might work out lucky for Khan he experienced his first taste of going through the shit against Limond instead of Earl ;)

To add to the merry-go-round, I reckon Warren will give Gavin Rees a gimmie defence in November, then promise the winner of the Earl v Khan fight a shot at him in the spring. I know I played down suggestions before, but it could be part of Warren's plan to make Khan his big money-spinner when Calzaghe retires.

Ive got nothing against Rees but It's gonna be tough finding someone "world class" that wont beat him...can't wait to see the gimme they'll find him for the Calzaghe bill ;D

Khan starting to fight people that are gonna hit him back he looks like he going in the right direction not looking for the easy fights. Earl took a hell of a beating last time out will he be the same fighter.

I'm amazed that Warren has put him in with Earl to be honest.

This is Khan's chance to make a statement. If he can impress against Earl then he is really moving on nicely.

Exaclty if Ricky Burns can beat Earl at long range Amir will have no problem, Earl is shot imo.

As I'm sure you've seen on our front page, Jon Thaxton has offered to fight Amir Khan on the 6 October, which is probably meant to be a tune up fight for the Earl bout. I don't see Warren taking up the offer myself...more likely to be a rematch with the mighty Steffy Bull or someone of that ilk.

Even if Thaxton doesn't get him in the ring himself, he's increasing his own profile by constantly challenging Khan.

I think Earl will get up bang up for this and put Amir on his ass ;)

Smash i respect you alot, but come on? Earl could of been taken out in a bodybag if it had gone on any longer, he caught him with one good shot, other than that it was brutal.

You gotta wonder how much Kats punches took out of him. I mean Kats punches like a menace and Earl took some nasty shots that day. Very interesting fight IMO depending on how much Earl has in him after the Kats fight.
