Can we get a sticky thread for all things regarding Hatton - Mayweather?
Such as ..Whos coming
Updates on deals regarding flights tickets etc..
Peace
Don't it make you proud to be British with Two threads like Calzaghe v Kessler and Hatton v Mayweather up at last :britain:
Anyway i think everyone needs to read this from Gibbo over at our sister site www.rickyhitmanhatton.com before looking at flight and tickets..
The official line is that this fight has been agreed in principle but no date or venue has been agreed.
The fight is not yet signed and it is not advisable to book flights etc that you cannot get a full refund on until an official announcement has been made. Many rumours circulate on the internet and can often be inaccurate. Despite what other internet sites are reporting at present, NO DATE IS SET in stone for a fight with Mayweather.
Question
When will an official announcement be made?
Answer
No exact date has been set as to when an announcement will be made.
Question
Where can we buy tickets?
Answer
Without a venue or date its very difficult to know the answers to these questions. Please keep visiting the site and details will be made as soon as they are available.
Question
How much will tickets be?
Answer
Again this answer will be available when all elements of the fight have been finalised. Please keep visiting the site and details will be made as soon as they are available.
Billy Graham speaks on Hatton v Mayweather O0
www.britishboxing.net
A few weeks ago I went on an interesting road trip with Billy Graham – trainer of Ricky Hatton – as Graham's charge Matthew Macklin made his comeback from the Jamie Moore defeat by defeating Antatoliy Udalov in Wolverhampton...............

I'll tell you what I do know...
...the airlines are making a fucking killing with this. Robbing bastards.
Smash, you making the journey over for this?
It's grief for me to even get into the US mate >:mad
naughty youth ;D
You'll hear me screaming from London to Vegas mate as soon as Blue Moon comes on,I'm starting to think that Hattons gonna take him 8)
Mad style and Live and he's got his power back and will be ticking over nicely in a matter of weeks i reckon ;)
he's gonna be in even better shape i'm sure and if anyone can calmly and wittily get into Floyds head it's him.
can't wait till PBF starts gobbing off face to face and Ricky just fires off a killer/funny one liner and owns him verbally ;D
You know it's coming mate!
You hooking up with the Hatton Forum mafia again then cutting the rug at Voodo?
What a venue mate.
Haye,Calzaghe and Hatton in the biggest fights of their lives (and the planet imo) all one after the other.

Fwock it.. Its mental just getting there if im gona be there i may as well blow my wallet on mingling with top seats
Yeaa i read the taansend topic, certainly sounds a tip top party tbh!
Im loving it if we can get some of the lads on here uk or us going .. get smashed up and see the big fight 8) ;)
And cc's of course ;)
Tito, I'm gunna do everything I can to get a ticket. If it means selling several family members to slavery...well then it's a sacrifice I'm willing to take. ;D
No venue agreed yet. Everybody is saying it's Vegas but you can't read into it too much, as a lot of it is people reporting on reports rather than solid first hand info.
Still I've got a deposit down to cover those dates and 3 nights in LV.
Lot of pissed off people as the airlines have just become savvy to it and have pretty much doubled prices in the last 24 hours.
I can see Floyd getting this piss taken out of him. ;DQuote:

Haha nice one bzk!
I may have to sell out your family for slavery too! ;D
But it'll be worth it ;D

Calzaghe on Hatton
Joe Calzaghe, the world super-middleweight champion, yesterday spoke of his delight for Ricky Hatton that the Mancunian had signed for his 'dream fight' with the world's No 1 pound-for-pound-fighter, Floyd Mayweather.....

Good to see the camaraderie between the two biggest names in British boxing today. They've both always struck me as decent guys and fairly humble, except when promoting their fights.Quote:

UK TICKET INFO
Hatton vs. Mayweather Ticket Update
12.08.07 - By Paul Speak: There has been a lot of speculation in the press and media about the availability of tickets for this fight. The venue has still not been finalised. I have liaised with Richard Schaefer, Chief Executive Officer of Goldenboy Promotions. Richard has informed me that it is hoped a venue will be confirmed within the next week.
Once the venue has been confirmed, there will be a 2-3 week count down to the global release of tickets for the fight.
Goldenboy Promotions has confirmed that there will be a large number of tickets for fans travelling from the United Kingdom and Europe for what is likely to be the fight of the year.
Once an allocation of fight tickets for the United Kingdom has been agreed with Goldenboy Promotions, a box office, based in Manchester, will release the tickets on a date to be agreed with Goldenboy Promotions.
Prior to the fight there will be a promotional tour with Mayweather and Hatton. The tour will take in various cities in the United States of America and the United Kingdom.
The public are invited to these events and your support for Ricky will be appreciated.
For more information and updates on the fight and ticket availability visit Ricky’s official website: www.rickyhitmanhatton.com

Hatton inspired by Vegas venue
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/6928430.stm
I booked a couple of week back. I fly out (Manchester) on the 5th December, to Heathrow, then on to LA. From there I drive (3 hours ish) to Vegas. Stay there till Sunday night then back to La for a couple of days ;D. Cannot wait now lads just hope I can get hold of a ticket ???
Should be okay. The UK ticket agent is confident they can accomodate the demand from over this side of the pond.
Guys i think he can do it......
I really think he can do it, altho im nervous as hell already...
So...say there's a travelling support of 12-15,000, how many seats are Americans getting if the ticket agent can fill all the Brit ticket requests? 3 in the corner perhaps....Quote:

As am away from tomorrow night and won't be in UK to sort it out myself and 5 mates have provisionally booked a 3 day package with Thomas Cook on the reserve list. They ain't got the tickets yet but are confident they will get more allocated :-\ We paid 20 percent deposit which we will get back if they don't get extra tickets (or its a ringside one or something ie 1000 quid !)
Here's hoping my bro sorts it out when I am away and I come back to find out am going
The trip will be a killer as the flights aren't direct (direct flights are about 50 grand now aren't they :)) but I can't miss this no way.
Here's hoping a few of us get together over there for a beer or ten.... ;)
I hope you strike it lucky there bif, because according to a seperate thread on the main board....British fans have been allocated 4,000 tickets, with the same for American fans, and the rest being retained by the casino for their high-rollers. I knew that the statement mentioned above from Steelie was a bunch of bullcrap, cause in a casino venue, they could probably sell every ticket to Hatton fans who wanted to be there.Quote:

I don't think you can read anything from these press confrences, they were mostly staged. Hatton's trainer even said that Mayweather came to the back of the private plane they were all touring in and had a normal discussion about boxing. At least it helps build up the fight though, even though it doesn't need building up.
I was really shocked when one of my mates, who is only just about a football fan and supports Man Utd actually mentioned the fact that Ricky Hatton's opponent had worn a Man Utd shirt at the press conference.
Granted he still didn't remember Floyd Mayweather's name but i guess if he heard about it, it must have got a fair bit of attention to the fight.
Mate of mine said the last day "They said ur lad Ricky is fightin the best pound for pound fella in the world, i didn no Roy Jones was the same weight as him!" :banghead:Quote:
