PBF vs HATTON- Goodbye zero!

And the zero im talking about is on hattons record, his losses will read 1....WILL READ 1 after this fight. Hatton cant and wont beat pbf. Hattons a nice guy and naturally after he beat kt id hope hed do well but pbf is a class above everyone. Hatton gonna come forward and try for a brawl but as we saw with oscar, pbf wont fight stupid. Hatton has an alright chin but i dont see him making 12 rounds, but not from lack of trying. Hattons heart wont let him quit, hes gonna walk forward till he cant anymore. He gonna hope and try to land that one big shot, either to floyds ribs or chin. Ribs, i dont think will hurt him. Hes too in shape and chin well hes taken some shots before and hasnt really looked that hurt so i dont see him being knocked out with one shot. The thing is, hattons game plan is gonna be the same as everyone elses who has fought floyd, cut off the ring, pressure and try to load up. Doesnt work people.

The only way you have a chance of beating floyd is if you manage to cut him (stop on cuts would be something any opponent of floyds could hope for).....or if you stop him from moving. Both of these things are easier said then done. Havent seen floyd cut majorly yet....or much anyway and well stopping floyd from moving is well something hatton could only do if this fight takes place in manchester. Hold, hit and dont let go. Coz if he lets go then floyd gonna come back twice as hard and he wont see it coming. The only thing i can say is, hatton comes to fight and if he doesnt relent and just takes the fight to floyd then i see two things happening...floyd getting worn down and hatton taking a shit load of punishment and from what ive seen from both fighters, that second one looks the more likely.

Although I don't think he will wind, I do believe Hatton has a better chance than you give him credit. Althoug he has no where near the speed to compare with PBF, he is really quick on his feat. Hatton has an amazing ability to make those four feet between fighters disapear. He can jump on you before you can say counter, much less actually do it. With that said, Floyd is the master in this fight and Hatton is mearly the apprentice.

Yeah i know hatton can be quick on his feet, i just see him moving very quickly into one of floyds lightning left hooks a little too often and meeting with floyds right too much. Hatton always has a chance, just not much of one in this fight. But hatton if you win this, good on ya mate. I dont really care who wins, i just want a good fight but i think floyd will win ;)

Floyd has to be favorite for sure , but i dont recall Floyd dominating Castillo , and Ricky is a pressure fighter in this kind of mold.
But even if on paper the odd's are hugely in Mayweathers favour i commend Hatton for wanting to fight the best out there.
Also if Floyd does win then were's the shame in that for Ricky ??? you see in a funny kind of a way Hatton has nothing to loose ..................... and if he could win then WOW ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Yeah well...if i remember correctly buster douglas had nothin to lose when he fought tyson. If he lost then everyone would of been like "he was shit anyway", he had nothin to fear from tyson coz he had just lost his mother. So he just went in, fought his fight and won. If hatton comes in thinkin he got nothing to lose and just goes for it, that probably his best chance. If any fighter goes in thinking he has something to lose they usually are very weary and dont fight the way they should or usually do.

Imo it doesn't matter what hattons attitude is come fight night, it's the skill, defense and intellegence in the ring that will keep hatton from winning. Hatton is great fighter against the competition he has been in against but this is a huge jump in talent level for hatton. Coming off the fights he's had recently and the people he has beaten in his career i think he will be overall overwelmed by pbf's style, frustrated by his speed, his inability to hit pbf i just think it will be way to much for hatton. It'll be like after round 1 of the de la hoya fight when roger said "he aint seen no mutha like you" except this time it will be much more appropriate.

Hatton has one of the best chins in the business. There is no way in this world PBF punches will be as strong and as hurtful as kostya's or vince phillips were and hatton took them flush bang on the button!

Its PBF speed and agility that hatton will have problems with. Ive no idea who will win and my thoughts are changing all the time but i know one thing for sure, PBF does NOT have the power to KO hatton.

Time will tell on this one. I think a lot of people underestimate Hatton and I dont just mean in terms of his chances with PBF.

Floyd showed an increasing tendency to drift to the ropes needlessly against Oscar. Hatton is gonna force him to the ropes and more often. The flurries Oscar was throwing were hopeful punches at best. Hatton will unload to the body when there and though Hatton has less power than Oscar, he will land more frequently. Punches landed in the right spot will take their toll eventually.

Floyd has also been more than economical with his output in recent fights. Admittedly against Oscar this could be understood because of the one punch power. But against Baldomir? Come on!! ;D Hatton will make Floyd work very hard. Perhaps harder than he has ever worked before.

These are just a few random musings that I have now. Im sure the Hatton camp has many more areas that they too think can be exploited against Floyd. Hatton has said for a long time that this is the fight that answers it all.

Of course Floyd is favourite, but I really wouldnt count out the heart, drive and ferocity that Ricky will bring. he will have his moments. If he can bring that spirit that he brought against Kostya then Floyd himself will need to dig deep too and then we have a classic.

Although Floyd may be a clear favorite on this fight for most of the people, I see that Hatton has real chances of winning. In the first fight with Floyd, Castillo could apply pressure and made a great fight. Hatton for sure will put a lot of pressure, punch to the body, hold, keep punching... I think if he can take Floyd out of his rhythm with these tactics, Hatton may win. Of course, this will not be an easy task for Hatton. I know Hatton fight against Collazo was not the best, but Collazo is a natural WW and Floyd is also moving from lower weight classes. And, I don't see Floyd with enough power at WW to KO Hatton, this may be the end of the fight that will surprise me the most. He can win a decision, but I see difficult a KO win for Floyd. In overall a KO victory for any of them will be difficult because it will be hard to catch Floyd also.

Floyd can get the K.O, hatton is going to be coming foward constantly and floyd will catch him numerous times, Gatti couldn't handle the punishment floyd handed out and he hasn't exactly got a glass jaw. A lot of people under estimate the power floyd actually has, he hurt De la hoya and that was at light middle weight. Hatton hasn't face the kind of speed floyd brings to the table, Castillo wasn't exactly a spring chicken and not a great tune up for this fight. True the first fight Castillo may have pushed floyd all the way using pressure but floyd won the second one relatively easily. Could it not just be that floyd had a bad night the first time around, like hatton did against Collazo? Did the second fight not prove how mayweather could handle a pressure fighter? I think the only type of fighter that ca beat Floyd is someone with a decent jab and solid boxing skills. Someone like Winky Wright (not so much B-Hop as his speed seems to have left him) a solid technician. Hatton will come to fight on Dec 8th but he will find that Mayweather isn't playing ball and will get picked off coming in all night long. I see a Mayweather win by TKO rd 9

and if Hatton wins, where does that leave him p4p? Undefeated and taking out three LWW greats is quite an achievement. Greatest british fighter of all time would be a guarantee, sorry Lennox.

Have you seen Jesus Chavez vs. Mayweather? He tried that, and had to stop because he tired out first, and Mayweather bombarded him... Hatton doesn't have very good defensive skills especially when fighitng somebody as fast as Mayweather.

lets be honest there is no way this fight will be decided by k.o, hatton is just way underrated in the u.s his chin and body are btoh amazing and mayweather doesnt build his game around power 2 knock hatton out, i fink the downfall of hatton cud b if he fights too much on the frontfoot, but he has 2 stay in close due to the reach and height difference, also hatton fghting at 147 while mayweather is proven at around 150 gives me sum doubt 2 how hatton can win.. i dunno i jus sure want dec 8th to come around fast

Hatton got caught a few times by kostyas power punches. If you watch the fight again you will see this. I think its around the 6 when he gets clobbered by one right at the beginning of the round, hatton just drops his hands and smiles at him. ;)

also hattons defensive skills have improved a lot over the past few years (with the exception of the collazo fight - which was just a night to forget). Obviously they are nothing compared to PBF but they are improving and i think hatton is vastly underrated by a lot of people in america.

You keep questioning him but he keeps coming up with all the answers. Is this one a step to far? We will have to wait and see. I just cant wait til i get that ticket in my hand!!

i'm a pbf fan but i also like ricky hatton got nothing against the guy i think he is a good brawler and a decent boxer but compared to pbf his boxing skills are in the minor leagues he knows that so he's going to try and brawl. now if anybody even think floyd will let hatton near him you've got another thing coming he's too smart for that floyd will fight on the outside use the ring when hatton steps in he'll throw quick shots then move off hatton will be following shadows all night if you ask me. in my honest opinion the only way hatton gets the W is if PBF has a off night.
also PBf power is way underrated i mean he rocked oscar with a counter at light middle he's more than likely going to have the power in his fight against hatton maybe not one shot KO power but he has the abillity to hurt hatton imo with a flurry or when he strings a few power punches together.

Collazo is one of the fastest fighters in that weight and even though he made Hatton look bad Hatton still got the W (barely). Still, like I said, I don't think he will win this one.

:) Hatton V Mayweather will be a copy of the Ali v Frazier 1- both undefeated, one as a boxer the other a pressure fighter and it will come down to who wants it the most, Hatton knows PBF cant knock him out(as did frazier against ali) Frazier got that left hook, Hatton goes for the body like no one else, Mayweather is used to head hunters, and dictating the fight,at range,the pressure that Hatton will put on Mayweather,will be reminiscent to the pressure put on Ali, by Frazier and the hitman will win on points-deja vu- ;)
