Vasquez-Marquez II anyone?

Its almost here and I havent seen any mention lately. Does everyone think Marquez is gonna win easy? I dont ,I actually think Vasquez wins this time around. The last fight was close and the only guy to touch the canvas was Marquez. Vasquez has had surgury on his nose bone and he claims it is better than before the injury. You could tell he didnt want to end the last fight by the disappointed look he had after he quit. He's got his pride he's trying to win back in this one, I think he comes out with a vengence. If the first one didnt end so early, it had FOTY written all over it...am I the only one excited for the rematch?

nah the first fight was kind aoverlooked like this too. I also say vasquez wins a rematch but it will be a good fight.

I'm hoping Vazquez wins and we get a rubber match. The first fight was great and I think Vazquez had the momentum before his nose started to really give him problems.

Should be a good one in what shapes up as a good night for boxing. Thank you DVR! I like Marquez in a close one.

Except for the round in which he was dropped, Marquez pretty much dominated the fight. Vazquez is game and will come to fight, but Marquez has the better fire power.

That may be true but saying vasquez is stopped in 6 or less is hard for me to believe. Might not be very smart but i favor vasquez by late stoppage or very close decision. Great fight regardless.

I gotta go with Marquez as well and quicker. I see Rafa being the smarter more talented fighter, and whilst Vazquez certainly has heart, he doesn't have the skill set to adapt to Marquez. Marquez should have him well figured out this time around. I am hoping for a competitive fight, but I see it being very one-sided.

I dont know where you get one sided except the round with the knockdown, here's the scorecard when it stopped...66-66 67-65 67-65.

i can't fucking wait for this fight, its going to be a WAR - i don't buy into this "its going to be rafa all the way" much like the barrera v jurez I fight, a bokrne nose early on is very hard to come back from, its solid to get your game going. Isreal will bea much diffrent fighter this time, i think its going to be close as hell... i love both fighters and didn't want either to beat the toher firs ttime round, but this time i want isreal to win in hope of a rubber match...

been waititng for this fight since the the last match ended, was clear then theyw ere goignt o go at it again!

I've been trying to hype this fight,I think Isreal has been working on his tactics but I still favour Rafa.I just think he is the overall better fighter and Isreal always has problems with any sort of lateral movement. Vazquez has also been chopping and changing trainers on a regular basis,which surely unsettles him at some point. Marquez wins this for me.

I dont know but I think the chnge of trainers may be the right thing for him. He's got Barreras trainer now,Rudy Perez, I think this guy knows how to crack Marquez. I might get a little heat for this , but I think Roach is a bit overrated as a trainer. He seems to have alot of fighters he trains constantly, and lately his fighters have been losing their fair share...what got him this popularity? Working with Pacquiao? I liked the part of that interview you posted where they talked about weathering the storm the first few rounds. Thats exactly what he didnt do in the first fight, look for him to be looking to counter and keeping his defense tight in the opening.

I'm really looking forward to this fight, I think it'll be better than the 1st! I don't see this fight going the distance again. I think both guys are pretty evenly matched (Marquez maybe slightly better skilled) but I think the difference will be Rafael's punching power!

Can't wait for this here.... I was ringside for their 1st meeting and was wishing Cali landed the re-match but a las it's in Texas... :(

Oddly enough I think the stoppage will come sooner this time around.

Marquez tends to better himself/up himself in rematches, I'm thinking on a 5th rd. stoppage.

To me, it's very telling that Roach refused to work the fight because he felt Vasquez was rushing back from the injury. That is a hefty pay day to turn down on Roach's part. I'm going to go Marquez stoppage in the 8th, but Vasquez will make it a battle.

Considering Roach would probably sell his own mother for cash, (or at least ditch all of his other boxers) then he must indeed think it's a really bad idea for Vasquez to come back so soon. :o

If i'm not mistaken roach was toney's trainer for his rahman fight, what the hell does he know about somebody not being able to win? Yeah i was one of the people rooting for toney to dominate the division but in retrospect, he was done by then.
