No doubt in my mind.
Why?
Coz he's relentless, won't run out of gas like Oscar did, and is the best body puncher of his generation.
This fight will look a lot like Meldrick Taylor/Julio Cesar Chavez did - Floyd looking great early but gradually being worn down by Hatton's pace and pressure.
Plus, Hatton is an everyman - I like the guy, everyone can relate to him - and Mayweather is a total knob jockey.
I'm with you in the analysis of their personalities, however I am worried that it is Hatton that will run out of gas, like he did agains Urango, and was being told again and again in the later rounds to hang on by Billy Graham. The scores in that one were a joke. Hopefully Hatton's stamina will be significantly better in this one.
I want Hatton to win, and I'd love to see him get inside, and let rip to floyd's body time and again, I just don't see Floyd being slow enough to get caught again and again.

One thing i am absolutely certain of is that the 3 above mentioned fighters will give it 200% on fight night and your gonna be in war if your thinking of getting the better of any of them.

If Ricky does pull it off does he then go straight to the P4P number 1 spot? - see this is the grey area of P4P lists because on one hand surely if you beat the number 1 then you must be the best,because you beat him!
But what Floyd has achieved (titles at 4/5 weights etc) eclipses Hattons achievments all day long :-\

I really hope Hatton beats Floyds arse but it aint gonna be easy. If ODLH didnt fade halfway through his fight with Mayweather then the result may have been different but I cant see Ricky doing the same, he will have the bit between his teeth for this fight and I think he will train harder and be in better condition than he has ever been in. I think Ricky will need to be patient though but I think his in your face style will aventually wear Floyd down but Ricky will have to walk through a quite few counter right hands as his did against Kostya Tszyu.

The reason Oscar caused Floyd problems was not because of the pressure he put on him but because he used his jab, as soon as he neglected the jab Floyd dominated him. Floyd has the reach advantage in this fight so i doubt Hatton will be able to work his jab and come in which is essential to beating Floyd. Mayweather will stay on the outside all night long work his jab and keep the distance and as soon as Hatton gets close enough to do damage Floyd ll tie i'm up and get the distance back again. As the fight wares on Hatton will get frustrated, wildly swinging and Floyd ll step in n ice his ass

The main reason no 1 can beat floyd is because his style is so versatile he can adapt to the style that is placed in front of him. Hatton is very one dimensional if he cant bully you he finds him self in deep water as seen in a lot of his recent fights
i see this fight happening completely different, i see Mayweather stopping Hatton he's too quick (hands and feet), defense is untouchable, Hatton doesn't really have a jab, and also Hatton gets cut or swells up too easily, and IMO Barrera is the best body puncher of our generation followed up by Cotto, 3rd place goes to Hatton

I agree....that mayweather is a cocky ass prick....but hes a cocky ass prick whos gonna beat hatton. Either late stoppage or UD, think gatti-mayweather, just a bit more competetive.

Hatton would have had a better chance if he fought say someone like Zab Judah before stepping up to floyd as he could get use to a speed fighter but i meant has Hatton ever fought a guy with a lot of speed? He is coming in to the fight off the back of a win against a Castillo who was a shadow of his former self, he had very little mobility and looked very slow, this is not an ideal tune up for a fight with the P4P no 1 fighter in the world who is gonna have you chasing his ass all night long and slips punches with ease. Floyd fought De la hoya so he got good experience of a pressure fighter and will have learned what to do and what not to do.
all i hope is hatton puts mayweather on the floor with a big left hook, but what i also hope is flloyd gets up and fights, it would be amazing to watch, either way whoever wins should have the same recognition as sugar ray or hagler did... and if its an absoulute stormer and very close then mayb they both should have that level of recognistion
