Barrera v Pacman - Is there any point
Hey i know a lot of people want to see this fight but why? Pacman has only got better since the 1st fight and Barrera hasn't exactly looked in Stella form as of late, Marquez beat him and i felt he lost the first fight to Juarez. Can anyone see a repeat of the Morales Pacman 3 fight here because i certainly can. Pac will be on him from the opening bell and there is no way Barrera can fight at a fast pace anymore. I see a brutal beat down here and dont think it ll go past six just my 2 cents but hey maybe am wrong.

Yes, the reason is to give a great champion a chance to avenge his most devastating loss. Don't count Barrera out in this one. I'm pretty sure Pac himself knows better than that.

Well on the one hand,MAB,a legend wants to go out with a bang,and some say he should be given a chance to avenge the ass whooping. On the other hand and my personal view is that there were far more exciting fights out there. Manny needs to start fighting younger hungrier guys but hey MAB will bring in lots of $$$ for Manny so business wise,it was a smart move.
I would much much rather see a JMM-Manny fight for lots and lots of reasons but mostly because it makes more sense.Manny v Soto/Guzman would have been superb. Manny v Valero in the far east would have been a mega fight.
I'm interested in seeing how motivated Manny is for this fight too.

To be fair to Barrera in losing to Marquez he certainly made it a fight of the year candidate which means it was far from a one sided affair. I thought Barrera looked very good. As per course Barrera got the job done better the second time he faced Juarez.
It is most likely Barrera's final fight and considering all he has giving to boxing we should at least oblige him in the farewell fight that he wants.
No way it turns into a Morales: Pac 3 style beatdown in 3. No way.
I can see Barrera putting on a very decent showing in this one.

yeah pac beat barrea, cerdit to him, but everyone knows barrea with the fire and the other shit was by no means prpepared for the fight... marales shcooled pac and barrera cleanly outboxed moarles after it... since morales beat pac, what PRIME SFW had pac beaten? hes beat up on washed up fighter or lower weight guys...
i aint hatin on pac, think hes great... morales was past it in thier second fight, third fight, yeah it should of happened, everyone needsa rubber match... but pac has fucked about with people he should not of fought... larior, solis... good guys AT THIER WIEGHT, even now he is fighting a guy coming off a loss...

Funny thing is I never heard anyone say Morales was a shot fighter before Pac-EM 2. Their trilogy happened because many people believed in Erik Morales.
Oh and one more thing, Manny Pacquiao is not one of the greats....
yet. Not until he defeats JMM, Soto, or Guzman.

MAB is well known as a good liver puncher and Pac KTFO twice from liver shots. This is NOT a walk in the cake for Pac and his team is well aware of it (which is good!). ;D

The agony of defeat is a good motivator too. Pac was young and determined enough to bounce back from his 2 KO losses.
I wish I could say the same thing for MAB. But goodluck to him.

sadly it'll be a quick brutal beating, pac will ktfo mab this time within 4 rounds. pac will retire him this time for good. this is mab's last result, he avoided pac for the past years. To save this fight for his last big pay day. Pac is actually just doing him a favor, getting him his last big check before he retires.
Theres no real point unless mab pulls off a win, but since that isn't going to happen the only possible point for this is giving mab one last shot and one last pay big paycheck.

CC bro you see it exactly the way i do, this is going to be a beat down, in the Marquez fight Barrera looked very uncomfortable when pressure was applied and Pacman is gonna give him fits with his high work rate and the pace of the fight will get to Barrera
Pacman KO rd 6 - i like Barrera i really do but if he couldn't beat pac a few years ago noway is he doing it now when pac is in his prime

Frankly i cant explain how he could have really looked any better?
Maybe he slouched during the middle rounds especially when marquez looked to be hurting him midway through the fight
he looked sharp..I suppose on one hand he didnt have the speed that you might have seen in the mckinney or the first morales fight.. But then again this is superfeather now..
But if you ask me he had the timing and technique that he needed to win that fight..
Ive seen barrera from His early brawling days, his first Big step up in Mckinney to his last great fight with Marquez
He cannot be the entire package because you loose speed but maybe gain power etc over the years.. But he is far from past it and hes still sharp where it matters is what i mean..
Perhaps best as hes ever been is an overstatement but its not far from the truth..Hes no Gatti.. Barrera is stil tops

Barrera is comp[lete and utter vet no doubt..
Hes been fighting since the age of fifteen though..And imo thats why he has lasted so long..He is still relatively young ;)
His face dont show it much but everything else has stayed with him
