Have you seen the heavyweight division recently, there aren't enough decent fighters in there to prevent Holyfield from getting another shot.

Anybody with genuine title aspirations isn't going to step in at short notice. It's a great result for whoever's promoting the fight.

He may well get his shot eventually but his own title reign was an embarrassment whereas Holyfield is a living legend and that puts him ahead in the queue.
Skelton, hahahahahahahahaha he's done more to earn a title shot than Hoylfield? Um yeah ok.
Dimitrenko? Has he even beaten a ranked opponent yet? Same for Vichis, when they fight and beat a guy in the top 10 then maybe they will get a shot, but you don't challenge for a world title ehen you've never even broken into the top 20 ever.
Thomspon, This is the only guy whose case could be put above Holyfield seeing as he the mandatory for Ibragimov's title and has looked great in recent outings. However as he too is an American it kind of messes up your argument.
