God: Do you believe in him/her?
ok, let's keep this really simple. I'm tired of trying to read through run-on sentences, sarcasm when you didn't know it was intended as sarcasm, etc.
Give us a simple yes or no.... and one, yes ONE sentence as to why.
Example (and this is my answer):
Yes, because if you believe in ghosts, which I do, why not God--plus all the stories of near death experiences.
Keep it SIMPLE and SHORT. To the point.
Next.
PS - we're not in this thread to debate.... so keep it one post per person. JUST the ANSWER. Debate elsewhere.

Re: God: Do you believe in him/her?
Yes i believe in God
People nowadays almost seem to disbelieve and disrespect christianity as if it were fashion..
But i have always described my faith like this..
Im not your utmost practicing christian i dont get to church etc..
But this is my view point.. look at your body, the very things that are life choices, the mind, decisions viens, blood, like everything just works..
tHE ONly thing to really say is it some crazy shit.. Too crazy to Bs about a big bang or anything to that effect..
The bible stands for Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth
Its not about all the in depth stories or details its about enterpreting the bible and religion into what you can to make you the best person you can..
In fact if everyone did do this then the world would be perfect
-
Re: God: Do you believe in him/her?
God is real. Fact.
It's also a fact the earth is only 10,000 years old and Dinosaurs were on Noah's Ark.
Factety fact fact.

Re: God: Do you believe in him/her?
Opinions is opinions but its not cool to mock god..

Re: God: Do you believe in him/her?
I do not believe in god.
I have no need for organised religion nor a belief system.
I live my life and live it in a way that I see being within a decent ethical code.
Thats enough for me.

Re: God: Do you believe in him/her?
I believe in God. I don't have a problem with any of the miracles in the bible. The biggest miracle that could ever be is the fact that we are here right now, that the universe is here and I and you guys are all part of it.
I've never understood how anyone can have a problem with any biblical miracle when the biggest miracle of all is that they actually exist themselves to be able to have an opinion.
What is the bigger miracle, a man raised from the dead or man being created in the first place?

Re: God: Do you believe in him/her?
I believe in God, but I understand those who do not believe in him/her because I used to be a militant atheist, I'd argue with anyone who believed at the drop of a hat... As for why I believe in God now, I just do because I feel it inside of me. It was easy not to believe when life was going well...
-
Re: God: Do you believe in him/her?
Nope..............
Didn't the bible say the world and life was created in 10 days, or something? Wouldn't that mean that man and dinosaurs co-existed?? Would life have been like "The Flintstones?"
Evolution, baby.

Re: God: Do you believe in him/her?
Thank God (Hank Williams Sr.)
There's a road that's straight and narrow
That the saints have travelled on
Paved with all the tribulations
Of the martyrs that have gone
If you're grateful for their vict'ries
And for showin' us the way
Then give thanks for all your blessin's
Get on your knees and pray.
Thank God for ev'ry flower and each tree
Thank God for all the mountains and the seas
Thank God for givin' life to you and me
Wherever you may be, Thank God.
In this world of grief and sorrow
Filled with selfishness and greed
There remains the Glory Fountain
To supply our every need
You can find it in the temple
With a welcome on the door
But be sure to count your blessin's
Before you ask for more.
Thank God for ev'ry flower and each tree
Thank God for all the mountains and the seas
Thank God for givin' life to you and me
Wherever you may be, Thank God.
Be forgivin to the wayward
Like the Master told us to
When He said forgive them Father
For they know not what they do
They would change their way of livin'
If they could but understand
So remember they're your brothers
They need a helpin' hand.

Evolution, baby.
Trust me mate dinosaurs and man coexisting really isn't a big problem, In the Western world we like to think we discovered things, eg.Columbus discovered America.....He didn't.....pre Renaisance man thought the world was flat......they didn't etc.
We like to think we discovered dinosaurs in the 1700's but every ancient civilisation knew about them but called them by a different name..dragons.
It's only a problem because evolutionists have indoctrinated people to believe in millions of years.
There are maps of Antartica a few hundred years old that show the continent without the ice, and they are accurate. The ice hasn't been there for millions of years at all.

Nope I'm sorry you will fry for all eternity if you even go wrong on the most minor of doctrine :-*
Only kidding. Actually the bible makes it very clear that anyone can be saved. When Jesus came the Pharisees went out of their way to trip him up and to trap him and his message of grace. Dragging a woman caught in the very act of adultery for example, a crime that carried a certain death sentence and Jesus simply said ' Let him without sin cast the first stone'.
He also said it was easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to be saved. The crowd in a state of shock then asked 'Who then can be saved?', Jesus replied 'With man these things are impossible but to God all things are possible'.
I take these statements to mean that there will be a LOT of people saved who Christians would have thought certainly wouldn't be and a lot of 'Christians' condemned who thought they were totally safe.
Man is obsessed with the letter of the law, but God has always been interested in the spirit of the law, so I don't think intellectually misunderstanding the exact correct doctrines will necessarily doom a person to eternal damnation.

Re: God: Do you believe in him/her?
I belive because Love allows all things.
ITs exactly whats occuring in our dimension at the moment; All things.
GOD IS LOVE. and it extends into all areas ,
it doesnt constrict its self to only one way of doing.
If it did it would be false and not within its own universal laws.

This is typical new age psuedobabble that throws in a few buzzwords and explains absolutely nothing.
What does any of that even mean?
Love allows all things? Even cruelty, rape and child abuse?
It extends into all areas? So even the most evil acts have love behind them?
As for the bit about its own universal laws, what laws are you talking about?

Re: God: Do you believe in him/her?
Consequences for actions.
Allowance for all things to run there course.
IT doesnt have to condone them that is YOUR take on it.
Are we on a learning curve down here
Or are we here on only an acceptance curve?
Which one? why not both? then we get to progress further faster.
Why get angry over it?
OR is this about "blame it on the Satan"
Live and do whatever and hope for the best in the blame game at the end?
forgive me :-*

Re: God: Do you believe in him/her?

-
Re: God: Do you believe in him/her?
No,but I respect the right for other to if they wish, just leave me be with it.Too many contradicitions in the thought process that ends with a divine being,no matter which belief system you subscribe to.But at the same time I have no way of KNOWING there is no god, which is why Im an aganostic, aethiesm is its own religion, because it entails belief in the unkowable

That is because YOU allow that to occur on Your planet.
That is yours and my responability,it is our mess.
IF you belive in A God that can perform miracles inside of others 'free will choice' against their free will, you are allowing yourself to be fooled into beliving that you are under that false Gods control and are a robot or a victum to curcumstances in some massive Galactic prank.
That is your free will choice also to belive and therefore experience life as that and only you can choose to think otherwise, it cant forced onto you by the real God.

Re: God: Do you believe in him/her?
I believe in IT not him or her. For me is like Positive Energy.
example when you enter a room and everyone is feeling happy (and I don't mean drugged ;D I mean positive energy) You can feel it too. The thing is that there are so many religions many believe and everyone says that they are the ones that are correct. So it get's crazy. What I do is just try to live a decent life No stealing, no killing. I do like to help people and Animals( yeah i'm a animal rights defender) AND ALL THAT KIND OF SHIT :D .Yup that's ME.
I remember that when I was little and priest saying is church that masturbating is Bad. I went crazy I said "WTF my favorite thing to do" but it turns out that every boy around the age of 12 or something like that was also their favorite thing. So my point is why something that is soppose to be a natural thing in a specie is a bad thing? It just wasn't :beat: LOL

I'm glad you've decided to cut out the killing now ::** :P
As for wanking, it's not the ejaculations that are wrong, it's the fantasizing over your best mate's girl or your sister whilst your doing it thats the sin. ;)

Re: God: Do you believe in him/her?
I believe there might be some all powerful energy or something that created the universe and maybe the spark for life/existence in general.
But I don't believe in any kind of "God" in that he/she is a savior or anything.
I think people are as much a miracle of life as any other thing that exists on the planet: plants, animals, insects, bacteria, etc
But I think when we are dead; we are dead. I don't believe in a savior nor do I feel sad that i dont! I think we are all just tiny little particles in the greater scheme of things.
There have been so many people before us and there will be so many after us that I think that any single person's life holds relatively little value in the grand scheme of things, whatever it will be...if it will be.
My belief is that we are just a little particles of sand on a vast existential plane. I'm content with that, too.

Wow talk about being content with mediocrity. :-X
Fuck that I ain't no piece of sand.
All I know is that I am real and exist and I didn't bring myself into being. If I didn't someone most definitely did and I want to meet Him oneday.
Hopefully it won't be in judgement but will be a great day. :)

You can met Him one day. Her too. Ever talk to your parents? They are the ones that brought you into being ;)
You must accept that you are sand, Baggins. A little piece of sand ....that may be stuck in the greater universes ass crack ;D
I know by me saying relatively speaking that any single life is pretty much inconsequential... What I mean is that the sum is greater than it's parts.
A lot of people think the parts are greater than the sum. Then they feel the need for religion/belief, that they are special, and that there IS more to it life and existence then this.
But I think this IS it but it's ok becuase the wave of life is going to keep flowing and we are just little microbes on that wave taking our turn!

In that case you would be praying that the pre egyptian and Aramaic writings were all closer to the truth and pre existant to the latter Hebrew and the Greek translations that hint of Hell as a punishment.
Instead of the original writings that meant a consequence of action of an extreme choice that isnt eternal but a time incriment protecting the next level from uncooth ways that are allowed to exist in only those lower relms as a built in protective service to each higher level.

Yes, hence my choice of 'Saddoboxing.com' to act as my divine mouthpiece to preach to you all. I am actually up here in Heaven at the moment, logging on remotely.
