Anyone ever been to Boardwalk Hall?
I got tickets to Taylor vs Pavlik. They are centered on the ring, but they are in the absolute last row. Am I screwed, or is it one of those stadums where every seat is pretty good?

No, the venue is nice for boxing... There is not really a bad seat in the house... You won't regret it.
Oh, and yes I've been there to watch Gatti!

And if you've never been to Jersey then you're in for a treat..
and THAT is sarcasm.. i went to Asbury Park for Skate and Surf festival in 03 and i've never seen such a run down place in my life.. and i've seen some pretty bad areas in NY, not to mention driving through providence almost everyday.

Re: Anyone ever been to Boardwalk Hall?
Bro, I grew up in RI and Providence is a sweet city (in the past ten years)
Don't get it twisted(though you're right about NJ)

I go to RIC so i'm right near the projects.. where are you from? I live in Johnston.
Providence as far as the city goes is great, but i'm speaking of the surrounding East Side etc all that stuff.. but i know that it doesn't compare to the larger areas of poverty in NY/NJ.

Re: Anyone ever been to Boardwalk Hall?
I grew up in warwick then 2 years before I moved out lived in Foster... I then moved to Fed. Hill. then lived on Hartford Ave at woodland estates in Johnston... almost right at the corner of Hartford ave and Atwood. I know what you're saying but yeah there are some parts that suck but Pawtucket sucks a hell of a lot more the Providence... (so doen Central falls)
You from ther or just going to school there?

Re: Anyone ever been to Boardwalk Hall?
Been here my whole life. Your profile says you're 25.. you were prime age to be in high school with Baldelli right? Must have not been fun if you were an athlete :lickish: .. I was a freshman at hendricken when he was a senior.. this of course makes no sense to you if you didn't go to high school here of course haha.

Re: Anyone ever been to Boardwalk Hall?
You know Brandon white or Adom Caccicio (Pronounced Casissio)?
-
Re: Anyone ever been to Boardwalk Hall?
haha, very cool.. i know one girl who went to Ponagansett cause my buddy dated her for a while, but she's my age (21/22) her name was Toni autiello.. she was a cheerleader, but maybe not freshman year.
I'm convinced that anyone within 5-6 years of my age from RI knows at least some of my close friends.. it's funny and sad at the same time. ;D

Can't say that i do.. i graduated in '03 and i really didn't know many upperclassmen besides the kids in the grade above me.. i was friends with most of the athletes but no one that you'd probably know.. I had a few classes with Will Blackmon, but besides him i don't think anyone else has really made a name for themselves, or in his case is a professional athlete.

I went to hendricken, Green and Gold baby! I'm assuming you're referring to Johnston's colors..
Toni is cool, i haven't seen her in a while but my mom works with her mom.. she actually just moved to johnston, huge ass house.

I was seeing Stacey Couriveau at the time but she was nice...

haha, when i said her name i was going to say something like, 'the only reason you may know her is cause she's pretty damn hot' but i don't think i could've said that without coming off as an asshole haha.. i havent seen her in a while but i'd find it hard to believe that she doesn't look great.
What year did you graduate?

Re: Anyone ever been to Boardwalk Hall?
I graduated 2000. She was a... Junior or... no a sofmore... I think when we graduated(Sorry if the spellings off... I'm drunk)
She was dating our second string runningback at the time(who went on to be two time first team all state)
But yeah... So thats the deal ;) ;D
I went on to Boston College to play on the practice squad... (2 time first team all state in RI means nothing if you don't have size) 225 lbs doesn't make you a college deffensive tackle :-[

That's cool.. you must've played with Will then at BC..
I sort of wish i went to Johnston sometimes cause i would've played varsity baseball/basketball without a doubt, but at hendricken it was impossible to make the basketball team, literally impossible, and i was too pissed that i couldn't play basketball so i didn't play baseball even though i was a much better baseball player. High school rivalries were great, i regret missing out on that from an athletes standpoint.

Yep, most of my good friends that i still hang out with went to Lasalle, so there is always that immature tension haha..
my buddy was the captain of the Lasalle hockey team for his junior/senior year and his dad used to be the coach, so anytime i'd be hanging with him whether it was at his house or at a game he'd make sure to humiliate me cause i went to hendricken haha.

haha oh okay.. most bay view girls that i know are a year or two younger than me.. it's cool cause if you date like 2 girls from there, EVERYONE knows you cause all the do is talk and talk and talk and talk and talk.. so i'm sure you had plenty of that going on ;D
Do you know of any bars that show boxing PPV's? I swear i have ZERO friends who are into boxing so it would be cool if i could go somewhere and drink and hang with people who are actually watching it.. i know no local bars do it, or hooters even though i've heard that they used to..

RI has the best... The leaves change, you're in the ocean state so the beaches are right there( minus oakland beach) you have awsome winters  with snow and whatnot...
If you want to stay around there...  Thats awsome cuz its an awsome state but Rhode Islanders have a tendency to never leave...
Just make sure you wanna stay there...
I love the state but after being away for a while....  I'm set for a good long time ;D
