Re: Found These KO's on Youtube.....Great Stuff....
Thanks bud. cc
My fave is in the third video aboout 2/3 of the way through, Tommy Morrison just slams a guy down into the ropes with a clubbing overhand right. :o
Speaking of one punch ko's, I always liked this one, by which Wilfred Benitez wins his third world title by taking out jmw champ Maurice Hope. One thing you notice is that Benitez knows the guy is out on his feet, and doesn't bother to throw any more shots, as compared to Mercer's destruction of Morrison.

Re: Found These KO's on Youtube.....Great Stuff....
Man, the worst ones are the ones where it looks like the guy who got dropped is dead. That's how Shuler looked, like a dead dog with its legs sticking straight up in the air. And whoever that guy was Tyson knocked out in the corner, the way his body was just propped up against the turnbuckle...

It's funnny you say that...I actually had seen the Hearns/Shuler fight when it was happening and when Shuler went down that exactly what I did...I jumped up and said it out loud...."He's DEAD..HOLY S***...He's F'IN Dead!!!!"
I have done that for like 3 fights in my life to KO's were soo bad I actually thought the guy was dead

Re: Found These KO's on Youtube.....Great Stuff....
I swear when I saw the "ding-a-ling" man k.o. Nwodo on espn a few weeks ago I didn't think he was dead, but surely dying. I really did think his neck was broken; damn he hit him hard. I had thought that it was a bad judgement call to have even let the fight go on as long as it did. Glad he's alright though. And Lewis/Rahman, yeah it sounded like a gunshot when the punch landed.

Best knockout you've ever seen
My favorite knockout would have to be when Douglas knocked out Tyson because It was a brutal knockout and I just couldn't wait to see Tyson get dropped.
-
Re: Best knockout you've ever seen
Probably Jackson/Graham because it was just a home run shot, I don't believe in lucky shots but it is very rare to see Herol Graham take a hard shot. He got careless and got KTFO
-

Favorite Knockdowns / Knockouts
I'm just curious to know which knockdowns/knockouts are everyone's favorites. My list of favorites are as follows:
Muhammad Ali vs George Foreman - Round 8
Ali just sits on the ropes and absorbs punishment for 8 rounds then within 20 seconds and one major Ali flurry, down goes Foreman!!!
Thomas Hearns vs Pipino Cuevas - Round 2
Hearns jabs and jabs and jabs, then BOOM, straight right hand down the pipe. Cuevas does some backstreet boy type dance move then crashes onto the canvas.
Kostya Tszyu vs Zab Judah - Round 2
Judah is basically dominating the fight. Tszyu catches him with a straight right, Judah falls flat on his back. Judah gets up, does a jumping jack without the arm movement, points at the ref, then trips over an imaginary rope and proceeds to fall in an "L"-shaped trajectory.
Manny Pacquiao vs Fashung 3K Battery - Round 6
3K gets up from a knockdown. Pacquiao throws a right hook, he realizes 3K is guarding pretty heavy for the hook. Pacquiao then feints a right hook, 3K guards heavy then attempts to throw a counter right, but in the middle of his counter, Pacquiao has already thrown a left uppercut that sends 3K airborne into the canvas.
Oscar De La Hoya vs Fernando Vargas - Round 11
Vargas has already ran out of steam at this point. DLH stoops down to go for the body but then he throws a quick left hook to Vargas' pie hole. I think this is one of the quickest punches I've ever seen. I remember watching it live and wondering "What the hell happened?!" Then i remember watching it a couple more times saying the exact same thing. It was a good punch.
Darnell Wilson vs Emmanuel Nwodo - Round 11
Nwodo was in serious trouble and i honestly thought the fight should've been stopped earlier. If a boxer turns his back towards his opponent and runs away like he was running from a ghost, i think he's had enough. Either way, Nwodo is stuck on the ropes, Wilson throws a right hook (which is blocked), then follows it up with a left hook (this was not) and Nwodo's head is detached from his neck!

Re: Favorite Knockdowns / Knockouts
I CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT THIS ONE!!!
Mike Tyson vs Trevor Berbick - Round 2
Tyson catches him with a short left hook on the inside and Berbick drops like a brick. Berbick gets up...falls backwards into the ropes like his upperbody weighs 3 tons...he gets up...then falls forward looking like someone pushed him from behind...

Re: Best knockout you've ever seen
Two guys whose names I don't even remember. I was at Rockingham Park in New Hampshire, the bell rang and both guys came out one guy threw a jab and was hit by a left hook that you could hear from about a mile away. The ref didn't even bother counting, the doctor jumped into the ring and that was the end. Fortunately for the loser, he was able to leave the ring under his own power. I think the total time of the bout was about 10 seconds.

Vincent Pettaway??? v Somebody Brown. (Its the one where the guy starts punching the air)
Jamie Moore v Matthew macklin
Julian Jackson v Herol Graham
Eubank v Dos Santos just for the way Eubank poses for the camera

-
Re: Favorite Knockdowns / Knockouts
Foreman V Frazier 1... 6 Knockdowns in 2 rounds against an unbeaten champ!!
Frazier V Ali 1... What a left hook by Smokin' Joe, how did Ali get up from that one? (Knockdown Only)
Cooper V Ali... Another perfect left hook... recovery was dubious! (Knockdown Only)
Tszyu V Judah...everyones favorite!
Tyson V Berbick....Watching Berbick stumble around was quite disturbing.
Ali V Foreman... Possibly the most famous knockout ever filmed.
Hearns v Duran...Hearns 2 round demolition of the great Duran was unbelievable.
Sanchez V Gomez... The great Salvador Sanchez destroys the great Wilfredo Gomez, impressive!
Alexis Arguello V Ruben Olivares...Arguello is losing this fight IMO and then POW a temple shot in the 13th!
Castillo V Corrales...Corrales goes down 75 times then gets up and KO's Castillo in the same round!!!!!!!!!

CC#13 for these 3, they are new fresh and original.
The Azumah KO was just vicious... :-\ and it's painful to see.
Your 2nd choice is Vincent Pettway and it was against Simon Brown, great KO also.
The way Macklin lands face 1st on the mat is just sickening. :(
How about;
Nelson over Leija III
Cooper over Coffee
Trinidad over Carr
Juarez over Diaz
Louis over Galento
Jackson over Douglas
Saman over Humberto

CC Back to ya....Yeah the Benitez KO was an classic....Too bad the KO Morrison delivered is not even 1/4 as devestating as the one he recived from Mercer
