Johnny is a bonafied legend.....I do not doubt his induction at all.....
Glen Johnson is boarder line-----He is worthy he has fought almost everyone...KO'd Jones.....He is one of those guys that get inducted 10 years after retiring...
PoPO is POO POO and I doubt it...
i met the man he's funny respectable
nothing against him but gene fullmer would of had a tought time making it if it wasnt fot srr
that why i think of johnson also he good
gatti really questionable but i will cuz of all the fights of years
Maybe Johnson and Tapia but definitely not popo, you can't be hall of fame when you go out like that.
Tapia should be Hall of Fame. Johnson had a good career, but not HOF worthy. Freitas should be in the cowards Hall of Fame
Yea Tapia should make it... Glen johnson maybe.. I hate to use the standard bottom end measuring stick, but if Barry Mcguigan is in there...(poor guy ;D). Glen might be in there if he has another legacy defining fight, win or lose... He could beat jones again, maybe be in a great fight against Calzaghe, Kessler, Winky, Hopkins, etc. Freitas no.
I think glen johnson is the greatest journey men around our era. Very underrated, but he has fought a lot of good ones. I think his great but Hall of fame is questionable. Tapia maybe and popo in his hometown yes his a hall of famer, he was undefeated and a k.o artist. Again though his questionable.
I don't think Glen Johnson is worthy of Hall Of Fame then again neither are Barry Mcguigan or Pipino Cuevas imo.
none of them are full stop :)
I think Gatti and Corrales deserve to be there not so much for ability but for the number of crowd pleasing moments they gave.
I think Sven Otke should be there. He frequently travelled outside of Germany chalking up KO wins ;D
Popo, I don't think so. He had a good start, but after his not that clear victory over Casamayor, and further quits, he lost that opportunity. He was KO by Barrios, but saved by the referee before he came back for his win by KO. Johnson, he KO Jones... But, not sure of this.

Yeah, its called Hall of FAME not Hall of GREATS. Tappia is defenately in, Johnson deserves it but will have a hard time getting there. I see him calling out for a title shot. Maybe if he gets it he got a shot to cement his HoF status. But right now its questionable.
How about Yori Boy Campas. 154lb champion with a great reccord and fought a lot of quality fighters in good fights. Probably not I guess.
Fernando Vargas is about to retire as well. I think he is a lock. Youngest 154lb champ in history and wins over Quartey and Wright.
POPO Heck no! He had a good career but damaged it with his two losses. Vargas Heck no! He didnt beat wright, and Ike was a good win but in his biggest career fights he not only loss but got KTFO.
NO, to all three
ike quartey
vernon vorest
The Hall Of Fame is a joke, really. Ken Norton is in and he went 4-7 against top 10 opposition. Thses days, with a mandatory number of 'modern' fighters that have to be admitted each year...well, these days everybody gets to be a champion and everybody will get into the HoF, too.
If Vargas and G Johnson and Gatti get in, then what about guys like Del Flanagan and Billy Soose and Teddy Yarosz and Bandit Romero? Its all just a publicity game anyway and has nothing to do with who was a worthy fighter.
Totally disagree with you and Daxx its like saying just because Runner or Basketball player or any sportsman was exciting to watch but come 2nd or 3rd all the time or didn't prove he is the best by beating the elite he should get into hall of fame ?? and same with any sport sorry i disagree this isn't who gives us most exciting fights this is boxing you earn that status Hall OF Fame for what you achieve in the ring by going head to head with elite and winning not for exciting fights and not for you popularity i like exciting fights and i like watching boxers with amazing heart but that doesn't get you into hall of fame you have to beat the elite.Quote:
