Bata Reyes had never been paid or had never won more than $1 million.The highest amount he won if I am not mistaken is more or less $250,000 (or $100,000)

Did it say how much he's worth (the link wouldn't come up for me) cause unless i'm mistakin i don't think that would be saying too much. There are some places in L.A. county where he wouldn't even be the highest paid player on the block. Either way that is still a pretty awesome accomplishment, and way more then i'll ever have.

I believe no other athlete in the history of the Philippines has earned even at least 1/4 of what pacman has earned.
This is actually something for the Filipinos. Athletes in the Philippines get hungry oftentimes. With few incentives for being an athlete, i'm proud with the Filipino athletes who continue to do their best despite the abject support from the government. O0

Pacman's idol before was bruce lee. So he tried Karate and kung fu. It did not do well for him because there was no money in karate. So he tried boxing.He became a Fernando Poe fan. He started to use the style of Fernando Poe and fortunately for him, Barrera does not know how to counter a Fernando Poe style. Romy Diaz and paquito Diaz are no longer alive so no one will be able to teach BArrera on how to counter a Fernando Poe boxing style. O0

Yeah, Julius pointed that out to me on the other thread. I know what you guys talking about. The "reverse uppercut". Pac uppercuts, while he's behind on his opponents back.
FPJ did those moves a lot against Dick Israel, Val Iglesia, Max Alvarado, Roco Montalban, Joaquin "Buwaya" Fajardo, the Diaz brothers, even the old dude Eddie Garcia, and many more.

That technique is pure Filipino.Am happy that there was Fernando Poe in the local cinema. Pacquaio had his inspirations.
