Re: top 10 greatest fighters of all time
that list is a carbon copy of all the other "lists" that I've seen historians make..and the biased opinions for the old era fighter will never change..
SRR is the all greatest....and I say prime RJJ would beat any man that ever boxed under heavyweight..all them get beat if not stopped then UD or lopsided UD..but nevertheless he'd beat them all....
I'd even go so far as the say the smallish heavy's would also be beaten...
Re: top 10 greatest fighters of all time
Willie Pep-won 229 (KO 65) + lost 11 (KO 6) + drawn 1 He was a 2 time World featherweight champion and one of the biggest winners in boxing history with 229 wins his record is a feat of its own and he even fought 70 fights and still won 90% and there is also a round in which without throwing a punch he was still able to win the round his defense was that good
Re: top 10 greatest fighters of all time

What round was it, and against whom?
Re: top 10 greatest fighters of all time
Willie pep didint win a round without throwing a punch thats BS... he won the round on counters i had some evidence of this but i just cant remeber where..if i find ill post it. I wont post a top 10
But the number 1 for me...is Willow the Wisp... I mean how can you be the only survivor in a plane crash suffering some serius injurys then come back and pretty much dominate your division..
as far as achievment goes thats pretty good
Re: top 10 greatest fighters of all time
There would be a fair argument for having Jimmy Wilde and Joe Gans in there as well somewhere?

easily..
I just don't like these lists full stop. I like reading what people think, but imo its impossible to generate an acurate all time p4p list period. i mean you could make a case for RJJ being top ten all time... he combined speed, power reflexes and movment as good as anyone, most will all agree he was untouchable in his prime...
Everytime i have ever tried to get an all time p4p list to post in threads like these i find my self arguing with my self in my head and end up giving up before i have any names down lol
Re: top 10 greatest fighters of all time
It is extremely har to make a P4P list that satisfies everyone. Add to that an All Time Greats P4P list and the challenge becomes unmesurable. CC for giving it a shot. I think it is al lot easier to make All Time Great lists by weight class. But then it is hard to place people like Harry Greb, Henry Armstrong, Sam Langford, ect.
