Not many fighters are exciting once they hit 40
I've never found Hopkins that exciting.
Maybe if he took me for a meal and wooed me, I'd be able to get in the mood. ;D

For me Hopkins was a thrilling fighter up until the Trinidad fight.
Even his fights with Taylor had their moments, but there were long waits between those moments. With hindsight, it is apparent that Taylor seldom makes an entertaining fight anyway. ;D

thas y i think hopkins was in his prime wen he fought jones, he may not have been as exprinced but he was defintly in his physical prime, mayb not mental, but i think the more actice hopkins had a bigger chacne against jones

i enjoyed hopkins-trinidad. maybe it was the excitement of a superfight between two P4Pers, or maybe it was the wine (reisling), but i found it to be a well fought, highly strategic fight with an excellent ending...ie hopkins breaking felix down and going for the ko in the final round rather than runnning.
I'm not one to necessarly love a slugfest (i find leonard-hagler still entertainig after all these years while some foreman slugfests--lyle for example--i rarely rewatch because of their lack of artistry).
I love good tactical fight myself mate i love watching highly skilled boxers breaking down there opponent i also enjoy slugfests aswell like everyone does but i enjoy all aspects of boxing Slugging, Skill, Counterpunching, ect.Quote:
