I jus think it should be full concentration on the upcoming one, not for the future esp cos its a massive show down. But anyway i would favour a manny pac ko here, hes too expericed and powerful for him. If earl can floor him i know manny can and do it in a more brutal fashion.

Re: Pacman v Katsidis - is it on the horizon and who wins?
A bit odd IMO. I mean is Katsidis really that big of a name? I mean the guy says that a fight with JMM wouldn't be good cause it wouldn't bring in the attention and the dollars that a Pacman-Katsidis fight would? WTF, I don't buy that at all.
Don't get me wrong, it would be exciting while it lasted and I would be interested in watching it but not as much as a rematch with JMM.
-
Re: Pacman v Katsidis - is it on the horizon and who wins?
katsidis better get some better D otherwise his career as a boxer is over after his eyeball falls out... pac is too damn strong
-
Re: Pacman v Katsidis - is it on the horizon and who wins?
Pacman VS JMM is the only fight on my list!!!
I look forward to the MAB fight, but JMM is the only person i want to see Manny in the ring with... :box3:
-
Re: Pacman v Katsidis - is it on the horizon and who wins?
Katsidis done himself a massive favour last time out and HBO were thrilled with his peformance.
He's pure entertainment and one of the most exciting fighters to watch at present imo.
-
Re: Pacman v Katsidis - is it on the horizon and who wins?
Pacquiao wins this and wins it quick and Katsidis' face would be a crimson mask
Katsidis gets a push because he's 'exciting' but Pacquiao would knock him out quick.
-
Re: Pacman v Katsidis - is it on the horizon and who wins?
haha Wouldn't last long that's for sure but has Pac ever faced anyone like the Kat? ;)
To be honest i couldn't care who won but it's definately a fight that should be made :)

He needs to fight MAB and beat him first then JMM and beat him and then Juan Guzman. then he can fight Katsidis by then he would have got a lot more experience and even more of a name. I just cant see Katsidis adding to mannys legacy at this momment he needs more names on his record. Earl isnt good enough to be honest. The way things are sounding Mannys understimating MAB and this could be a very bad thing for him.
-
Re: Pacman v Katsidis - is it on the horizon and who wins?
Katsidis is not ready for Pac yet. I would imagine he needs time to heal and a few warm ups to hone some defensive skills.
Pac would eat a few but would bust Katsidis up if they fought now.
Maybe 2 years down the line it could be a very interesting fight, but Katsidis needs to sharpen those skills.

I'm not sure how much of a real deal Joan Guzman is at this point. WHILE PAC is fighting MAB, KAT should go for Guzman.

Lol, his eyeballs will fall out if he stays reckless like he is. He's a gamer though. :boxingmatch:

Re: Pacman v Katsidis - is it on the horizon and who wins?
This fight might just happen, after the mab fight ofcourse. Because its been so hard getting a rematch with Jmm, so while pac and jmm can't be made Katsidis might be one of pacs fight down the line just like Solis undefeated with a little hype. Pac will hand katsidis his ass though just like how pac handed solis ass to him ;)
A fight with Guzman is getting less and less interesting, it doesn't seem like his a treat to pac at all now.
Valero's hype is pretty dead now, wheres all the valero fans that use to post just to hype his internet fame? I guess even they came to realize valero is just hype.
I think if pac and jmm can't be made, pac is going to have a lot of easy fights. just like a Katsidis.

Well hes done a lot more than Katsidis at this stage to deserve a shot. Hes a 2 or 3 weight world champ right ?

Re: Pacman v Katsidis - is it on the horizon and who wins?
I want to see Katsidis fight the Juan Diaz-Julio Diaz winner first. If he wins that, then talk about a Pacman bout.

he will get past the first round i can see him fighting with manny and being beaten down within the first 5-6 rounds. I think Katsidis IMO should go for Valero if he wants to get a bigger name and get a good win and another title, although i think Valero would win. now that would be a better fight.

Re: Pacman v Katsidis - is it on the horizon and who wins?
I wonder what would Pac do to the onion skin Katsidis. I mean Pac used to b1tchslap Amonsot in sparring.

Pac would brutally ko him inside 6 infact i would be suprised if it even went that long.
-
Re: Pacman v Katsidis - is it on the horizon and who wins?
I think this fight would be too much for Kat.I am a huge fan but 0 I see him having a career like Gatti, he'll be too good for the majority of journeymen and even some top guys, but wont be in the elite. Every fight will be worth watching tho.
-
Re: Pacman v Katsidis - is it on the horizon and who wins?
Would the Pacman be as effective at 135lb? He started as a Flyweight and Katsidis can take shots, I would worry about him being cut up though. I don't think this is as crazy as some people might think.
I would love to see it!
-
Re: Pacman v Katsidis - is it on the horizon and who wins?
katsidis would be a good tune-up fight for pacman. ;D
-
Re: Pacman v Katsidis - is it on the horizon and who wins?
Katsidis to me right now is an up and coming Gatti. He is fun to watch, but when he gets to the top there will be one or two boxers in his way. (I can't back this up as he is still undefeated so only time will tell.)
Pacman is a true champ and I think would be able to UD or KO Katsidis.
-
Re: Pacman v Katsidis - is it on the horizon and who wins?
Pac would probably KO Katsidis before 8th round if Katsidis survives after the first 3 rounds. O0

As huge as a fan that I am of me bwoy! Kats. I gotta tell it like it is, PAC man would eat him alive.
Pacs faster and I would def. say hits harder then Kats. I would also say Pac has a better chin then Kats.
For Kats own good I hope he doesn't take this fight soon.
Pacquiao mid-way stoppage rd. 5

Re: Pacman v Katsidis - is it on the horizon and who wins?
Katsidis should try the Pacman to prove his worth. O0

if manny is underestimating MAB why is he training right now? why does he have 3 jr welterweights as sparring partners?

Great question & I agree. Granted, Manny has much more high level experience but @ 135, would Manny's power hurt a tough LW? Also, how would Manny take shots from a guy @ 135? - it wasn't that long ago when Manny was @ 122.

This is what i was thinking, Manny will be taking shots from a guy who hits like a Welterweight!
Talent wise Manny has it all over the K man but i wonder how he will take a clean K man shot at 135lb?

If Morales did well over Diaz @ 135 (he knocked Diaz), how much more Pacquaio? I think he will do well also in the lightweight.
If manny decides to go up, the lightweight division will surely be shaken. the boxing world will be in for the happy times. ;D I'm already excited just thinking about it.

Pac was 144 the night he fought EM for the 3rd time. He pretty much carried his speed and power along with him @ 144.
But can he take a solid punch straight to his chin from a 135 pounder?... I don't know.

You're contradicting yourself. What do you mean "u have to be kidding"? I am not kidding. I believe Morales did well against Diaz. I even believe he won that match. I also bellieve that Morales was robbed of a very important win. Those judges should be banned from boxing forever. O0

U make no sense. A prime Morales would have killed Diaz. At 130, 135, whatever weight. Diaz is not much more than a journeyman, Morales a former top 5 p4p fighter. The fact the fight was close proves Morales did not do well against him.

Re: Pacman v Katsidis - is it on the horizon and who wins?
whew eagle. you're not really making sense. Please read again my post and the posts that I have replied.I am trying to point out that even Morales who was considered past his prime was able to floor
diaz, how much more Manny who is at his prime now?Gets it? O0
