And what makes it more amazing is that he was actually behind in the fight and that could dishearten you knowing your losing then you get discolated shoulder but good old Williams pulled through great guy outside the ring shame he goes too hot and cold in fights :coolclick: back.

Re: Danny Williams Winning The Potter Fight With One Arm Amazing Stuff
I think this proves a valuable lesson though that heart ISN'T what makes a champion.
Danny suffers an appalling shoulder injury, fights on and wins against the odds
Vitali suffers some shoulder pain and quits like a little girl.
Vitali and Danny meet in the ring and Vitali batters Danny against all four ropes in a brutal beatdown :-\
:coolclick: for the vid though, never seen it before, great stuff

Re: Danny Williams Winning The Potter Fight With One Arm Amazing Stuff
williams showed some great heart considering the pain he was going through.
imagine how gutted potter felt after getting stopped by a guy with one arm..

Re: Danny Williams Winning The Potter Fight With One Arm Amazing Stuff
Yep just one of 3 particularly brave Danny Williams performances. He may lack will when it comes to Mr Kipling or McDonalds but the man has balls the size of grapefruits.

Re: Danny Williams Winning The Potter Fight With One Arm Amazing Stuff
bloody hell !!!!
just after it happened potter raggin on his arm against the ropes
:-\
and after the fight ppltrying to hug danny and he's moving off cus it hurts
he musta bin saying unless u wanna get knocked out too get the fuck off
thats the type of pain tht makes u dance

You should also point out the difference in their injuries.
A dislocated shoulder and tearing your rotator cuff are worlds aparts as far as injuries go.
You should also point out Vitali fought with the injury from the 4th round and onto the 9th.
You should also point out Danny was fighting Potter, while Vitali fought Byrd.

Byrd isn't a threat to do damage mick and if you've already locked up the cards, just cruise thru the last three rounds because he wont be able to hurt you. It's still unacceptable from an undefeated heavyweight champion who was winning on points.

Re: Danny Williams Winning The Potter Fight With One Arm Amazing Stuff
You could actually see the bone coming out of the shoulder. I remember when Freedie Roach said he had no heart before the Tyson fight. He should have seen this fight.

Wasn't it the 1st or 2nd round when Jeff Lacy tore his rotator cuff in his last fight? He went all 12. And against a guy who could hit too.

Re: Danny Williams Winning The Potter Fight With One Arm Amazing Stuff

God i love facts!
CC
Also, that was a nice vid, but it takes two arms to beat the top heavies and williams couldnt do it then, and he wont do it now.

Re: Danny Williams Winning The Potter Fight With One Arm Amazing Stuff
Much as Danny Williams has got himself involved in the heavyweight merry-go round recently, and his loss to Audley Harrison was particularly ignominious, he's always come across as a nice guy, and I'm glad (if he has retired) that he came back from that one with the impressive win over Scott Gammer.
A champion in heart, even if he never achieved what he might have done when at his peak.

Re: Danny Williams Winning The Potter Fight With One Arm Amazing Stuff
I didnt like Williams after the Tyson fight, but when I saw him fight Vitali I became a fan. In defeat he showed a lot about himself. I never saw this one, man Danny is a warrior. He reminds me of Buster Douglas a little. He seems to be pretty good when hes mentally and physically prepared.

Yeah and he fought on even in the last round when it wasn't looking good that finishing the round would give him a victory. I think he lost by a significant point margin as well.

To be honest with you I jujst wasn't seeing Tsypko as getting the better of a lot of the rounds, even if Lacy was injured. I think I called it by a point or two to Tsypko, but if he can't dominate against and injured one-dimensional puncher with one arm....

Awesome performance by Williams, anyone else notice Joe C in the background? Thanks for posting that(CC), it was my first time seeing that. ;)
