This past friday on friday night fights, Teddy atlas gave his predictions on the up coming MEGA_FIGHTS! Here's who Teddy picked:

Taylor over Pavlik

Barrera over Pacquiao

Kessler over Calzaghe

Cotto over Mosley

Mayweather over Hatton

The BARRERA-PACMAN fight still leaves me with ??? I still haven't made my pick. Other than that, I agree with the other 4. What do you guys think. He said Cotto will likely get hurt early, and probably fall, but has great heart and will overcome with a win on a great but tough fight.

I think pac will win his fight as well and i'm undecided on the calzaghe-kessler fight. Other than that i agree with the list.

Teddy 'Marble Mouth' Atlas is hardly ever right. I think the last time he made a prediction that was correct was back in the early 90's.

Teddy is a Jinx and the fact that he picked Cotto over Mosley, has me a bit worried. Anyway,

My picks are as follows:

Pavlik stops Taylor and Taylor moves up in weight. B-Hop will be waiting ;D And Sergio Mora calls out Pavlik. ;D

Pacquiao stops Barrera and Barrera retires.

Calzaghe beats Kessler on some bs decision and Calzaghe offers Manfredo a rematch ;D

Cotto stops old Mosley but Mosley does not retire. Mosley to fight ODLH again for big cash ;D

Mayweather beats on Hatton like Hatton has never been beat on. Mayweather calls out Cotto.

Teddy's list looked fine using the logic he was using.....i don't see floyd calling out anyone though, people want what he has not the other way around...him beating any of the current contenders is no big deal and nothing is to be gained by beating any of them, if he beats them all people will still talk shit and say there a whole list of new guys he'd have to face to be respected, but if one of them beats floyd the world would end....the old taylor could easily beat pavlik coming off his biggest win over miranda ??!!! Which i still don't understand how it made him all of the sudden a top contender, it's more of taylors lack of performance than anything pavlik has done IMO...the kessler joe match is still a toss up in my book, paq beats barrera, and shane will surprisingly KO cotto.

I would give Mayweather mad props if he beat Cotto.

If Cotto beats Mosley, then it's gonna happen. Maybe not the next fight, but within Mayweather's next 2 or 3 following his demolition of Hatton.

If you're saying that "There is no way Mayweather calls out Cotto," because you dont think that Cotto has a shot at winning...........I would give Cotto a small chance.

If Mosley that fought Vargas the first time shows up, then Cotto wins (had that 1st Mosley vs. Vargas went the distance, Vargas was gonna pull it off) but if regular Mosley shows up, Mosley's gonna beat the prospect down.

Mosley is getting old. You can't ever rule out the age factor.

my thought on it

Pavlik over Taylor ( I like what i have seen from the Pavlik fellow, Taylor has been flat last few times out. can Taylor raise his game to beat the taller action packed Pavlik? 6'2 Middleweight with power and determination factor is hard to beat.

Pacquiao over Barrera.. first match was not even close. why would this be different? Pacman wins inside 6 rounds

Calzaghe over Kessler . It's a hard one to call.. I remember watching Calzaghe beating me mate Jeff Lacy pretty good. Jeff is a great fighter. this is one not to miss.

Cotto over Mosley hard to call this one.. even match really. both guys are simply fantastic fighters. Guess I'll go with the body attack of Cotto. a good body puncher can even the playing field very fast . I see Cotto getting caught some and having some problems within the match.

Hatton over Mayweather . another great match... Ricky has the mindset he won't be denied, very physical strong.. This is a perfect recipe for beating Mayweather as Ricky will maul, stay on the chest of Mayweather. jockeying for position and creating openings through grappling on the inside. Hatton will blitz Floyd from the gate. Mayweather will not be able to shake this aggressive lad like he did vs. Gatti and Baldomir . Great fight this !

actually, this is Jermain's last fight at 160 before he goes up to 168, and Pavlik said that he was gonna be at middleweight for a while.

Pac TKO 10 over Barerra

Taylor UD over Pavlik

Mayweather TKO 9 over Hatton

Calzaghe UD over Kessler

Mosley UD over Cotto

The Taylor - Pavlik fight is at 160, but if Pavlik wins the rematch takes place at 168.

either way you never bet against Jermain is a big fight

I think he is right that Taylor beats Pavlik and Kessler beats Calzaghe.
I think Mosley beats Cotto unless he gets old

I think PBF can stop Ricky...but will he risk throwing that many punches that close???? Maybe not. So PBF CAN stop Hatton but WILL HE is the question.

Cotto-Mosely is very exciting, Shane is quick and has lots of power and can shine the shoes on Miguel BUT Miguel is young, hungry, and he has the heart of a great champion not to mention he punches as hard as if not harder than De la Hoya....it'll be interesting and I'll be cheering for Cotto but I can't help but think it's a tough style match up for him.

MAB is a smart fighter but I think age has caught up with him

Gave you a cc on your post due to being a FNF fan long enough to know Teddy is usually wrong. Here's how I see it.

Pavlik over Taylor
Pac over Barrera (although I see it being by decision this time)
Calzaghe over Kessler (it'll be the hardest match he ever wins maybe even have to come off the mat to do it)
Mosely over Cotto (by early to mid rounds stoppage)
Mayweather over Hatton (leaving me pissed off that Mayweather didn't get KTFO)

If Cotto can get through Mosley then Floyd Mayweather Jr. is in TROUBLE!

I got a bit of respect for teddy,well atleast I use to. anyways his pre-fight strategy needs to get cut off FNF. teddy speaks like his tips will really help. which is annoying.

taylor beats pavlik. I like pavlik but taylor is prolly raise his game for this fight.

mosley over cotto. we haven't seen mosley very active but I think cotto is going in against the toughest fighter around the division which will surprise him and he`ll regret it come fight night.

kessler over calzagne. kessler more accurate and landing harder shots, will stop joe within 10 rounds.

floyd over hatton. I use to think hattons pressure could trouble floyd but now I doubt it. this fight is at 147, if it was made a few years back at 140 I would of choose hatton but floyd takes this to a u.d. while all ricky will do is hold and try to look aggressive.

pacman over mabman. you guys notice everytime someone choose mab to win the reason is because pac will come unfocus or under trained. that's just like saying mab needs to hope pac won't properly train for him to beat pac. pac beat mab at 126,which is where mab reached his prime. this rematch is at 130 which is where pac just reached his prime,mab is in bigger trouble come fight night.

If Cotto gets through Mosely then I definately think he will give Mayweather trouble as well. That is, if Cotto doesn't knock him out quickly. If Cotto gets into and looks good into the late rounds then he will have proven himself.

Very true....all a quick KO of Mosley does for Cotto is show the power everyone already knows is there, and maybe shows Shane's age

Pavlik late round TKO over Taylor - Pavlik punch like a ton of bricks.

Barrera UD over Pacquiao - If Barrera is fighting Bobby instead of Manny. ;D

Mosley KO over Cotto - Mosley is just too fast and strong.

Calzaghe UD over Kessler - Kessler will have trouble landing his bombs against the southpaw.

I hate to say this but PBF UD over Hatton - Hatton will have trouble chasing PBF's liver. Same problem ODLH couldn't accomplish.

Teddy was close but Pavlik and Mosely will win their fights. ;D

Is getting 3 out of 5 matches correct for a boxing expert.

I am a Barrera fan but I think Teddy had too much to drink. It could be exciting but then again, we don't know which Barrera will come out. The hound dogs of the press won't be after him like the way they did when they found out about the plate in his head. Cotto vs. Mosley depends on Mosley's legs and combination punching. Speed is what he needs. No speed, no win. Everyone else remains the same and Taylor may be up for his fight and Kessler better have endurance for this one.

Taylor wins UD over Pavlik. I dont think this will be a bulls**t UD either...Taylor will send a message.

Molsey over Cotto, somehow. Shane's speed+composure+ring wisdom will cause Cotto trouble. But if Cotto wins I will no longer doubt him ever again. Unless he fights Floyd.

Kessler win late TKO over Calzaghe. Calzaghe has got to turn old someday and Kessler has a lot of momentum right now. I think Calzaghe shows Kessler a few tricks, but then gets sparked.

And with Barrera with a punishing UD upset over Pac. I have a feeling that Barrera will give Manny a little lesson. My gut instincts are wrong as often as they are right, but I still always listen to them, so I pick Barrera.
