Re: A Must see for Floyd Fans
Good vid actually, after all the hype people brought up about the de la hoya fight and how bad he was going to whoop floyd, a video about hatton i think would make them just giggle a little bit. Over and over they showed de la hoya fighting vargas, chavez, etc....hattons video shows him winning against .......

Keep laughing cos you won't be the morning after they fight.
I'm not a fan of either but how in the World can Floyd win? He ain't no Sugar Ray Leonard in the speed stakes and he has no power.
He's good at beating oldmen like Oscar and little guys but how is he gonna get Hatton away?
Hatton will be busy and in his face.
Hatton wins this easy like Lloyd Honeyghan against Donald Curry. Floyd is gonna break like Donald did.

I would never say he wins 'easy' fella but he is more than capable of sticking to Floyd like shit to a blanket and making him pretty uncomfortable.

First off i'm not shitting on hatton, and could care less who actually wins the fight, i'm just saying in my opinion the skill level between these two fighters is huge, i'm speaking from an un bias position fan wise, but your comments saying floyd fights old men and little guys shows you are speaking from either huge love for hatton or more common extreme hate for floyd in general. Who had floyd fought that was an old man " before" the fight ??!! Cause i know how people love to hype a fighter BEFORE the fight then after he looses he a bum old etc...second who has floyd fought recently that was smaller than him ??!!! And lastly floyds power is deceptive..does he have a ton of course not but does he not have power at all because he's smart enough not to get in the ring with these so called "smaller guys" and slug when it's a disadvantage for him, sometimes his brains are more of a weapon than his fists. There are a ton of great aspects of hatton as well, but nothing glaring enough to me at least for me to say will be enough to help him on dec 8.

The last 3 opponents Floyd has fought were all bigger than Hatton and 2 of them far more durable.. 2 were also more skilled than Hatton is. Your completely delusional if you think Hatton will show Floyd something he's never seen.

Bigger- you mean OAP's like Oscar who got beat many times before! Is that impressive- hell no.
Credit to Floyd for taken on a live opponent over the Junior Welterweight mark. He passed through before and only fought Journeyman Baldomir- he forgot Hatton, Margarito and Cotto.
He beat Judah though but many people have Ko'd Zab.
Floyd is fighting live this time- no oldmen, no losers or journeymen- LIVE!
Floyd is gonna get taken out.

What does this prove ?? Castillo was shot when Hatton fought him i still give Hatton credit for how he done it but facts are facts and Pep who really cares.

I keep saying this and i will say it again Mayweather has fought similar fights to Hatton aka Chavez aka Castillo Hatton has fought one fast fighter in his whole career and it didn't fair well with Hatton staggering and and reeling and getting a controversial decision and before you bring up Castillo gave Mayweather trouble Mayweather rematched him and beat him convincing with no trouble what Hatton should of done with Collazo and has improved since the first Castillo fight.

Thankyou- your a Gent.
I'm not a Hatton fan- I'm neutral on the fight. Can't prove it but the site I'm from I'm impartial. Violent Demise and a couple of others will say that.
I'm a fight collector and watching the two-I can't see Floyd winning.

And i could say the same with Hatton vs Collazo atleast Mayweather rematched Castillo and beat him easily Hatton did not and went back on his word and like i said that was years ago and Mayweather has improved alot since that.

You could also say that Floyd’s last opponent Oscar had lost 2 of his previous 4!
Baldomir was a journeyman champ and Zab Judah had been destroyed by Kostya Tsyzu- who incidentally was P4P No.1 when Hatton beat him.
It's not hard to figure that Floyd has had an easy ride on the back of American fans that keep paying to watch him beat - dead certainties.

Re: A Must see for Floyd Fans
nice vid - still doesnt change anything for me - flopyd is going to end hatton... i'm not a hatton hater... long ago where alot of the topics here were hatton v castillo or chicko i picked ricky, and prime for prime i would now, stle ways they IMO he would of won...
but come 2008 if ricky is still boxing it will be in the uk with the liks of witter and gav rees... mayweathr will end any hope or interest of hatton making it in the us...

I would never say he wins 'easy' fella but he is more than capable of sticking to Floyd like S*** to a blanket and making him pretty uncomfortable.
Floyd is gonna be taken to places he's never been. Ricky will keep fighting when hurt, Floyd won't.
Million Dollar Foney is gonna get fucked-up.
You taking on a hungry fighter this time Floyd. No flash just fight.
Mayweather lost the 1st Castillo fight-everyone knows he was lucky with the decision.
So now your trying to discredit Mayweathers opposition you have changed the subject and Kostya Tszyu was never p4p no 1 he may of been number 1 in his division but no way was he p4p number 1 and who else could Mayweather have fought for you to think any better of him ??
All i was trying to say is that Mayweather has beaten fighters similar to Hatton problem is Hatton has only ever fought 1 fast fighter in his whole career and it was controversial decision where he was rocked badly.

after lightweight Mayweather has beaten 4 current legit world champions. More than Hatton has fought in his entire career.

Re: A Must see for Floyd Fans
ok first off how in the world can you post a video of hatton whipping the crap out of bums and then call Mayweather for the guys hes been fighting. Secondly Floyd has a fair amount of power Zab Judah was on his way out till he threw the low blow and rabbit punch and he rocked De La Hoya a few times. Third you say Floyd beating up on old men De La Hoya has only lost to A class fighters and he was far from shot hell i bet he could take Hatton out now if they fought. Also the two fighters Hatton has beat that are worth mentioning Castillo and Tszyu were mid 30's. Fourth whats has mayweather done after lightweight? hummm didnt he become ring magazine P4P no 1 and win tiltles in 4 more divisions? On paper Mayweather skools Hatton but fights aren't fought on paper
Now i see this fight being very close, Hatton has a good chance if he can catch and keep Floyd against the ropes. This is no easy feat, Floyd is one elusive Motherf***er with arguably the best defense in the game. Also i wouldn't count on Hatton walking through Floyds shots if he lands clean punches they will hurt Hatton no doubt about it all you Hatton fanboys need to realise that. One thing i do know this is not going to be a easy night for Hatton far from it, most of the guys hatton has fought have stood right in front of him and hes got tired before. Mayweather will be moving around the majority of the time will Hatton be able to give chase and keep up a relentless punch output for 12 rounds? History says no, time will tell.
All i know is come fight night i will be cheering on my boy Floyd and hoping it will be business as usual but this is boxing and i know anything is possible.

Re: A Must see for Floyd Fans
Nice video, but not very expansive in terms of quality of opposition in it. Tszyu, Maussa, Collazo and Urango were all genuine title holders were they not? I may be wrong though.
One thing is for sure, it's going to be a nervous fight to watch for me as a Hatton fan, but I can't wait!

To be fair to Hatton it's not like he's been looking for bad opponents, he has been badly promoted in terms of quality of opposition. When offered Tszyu, Mayweather and Castillo, Hatton has signed instantly, and despite what other people think, I think Collazo was a high quality opponent, he will come again, he's now competiting at 154 which shows he was a huge welter, and even against Mosley he was doing well for 2 rounds, the 2nd was a dominant 10-9, but Collazo broke his right hand, which is his lead hand as well. If memory serves I think he was 161lbs on the night against Mosley.

Re: A Must see for Floyd Fans
I do believe that there is a huge talent gap in this fight, but styles make fights and Hatton's style is probably going to be the only style to break Floyd.
Pressure. Effective aggressiveness closes that gap a lot, De La Hoya just had to come forward with jab and pressure to win rounds in his go with Mayweather. It wasn't that he was landing much, he was just negating the offense of Mayweather.
If Hatton can provide consistent pressure, I don't think he is going to KO Mayweather, but he can make it close. Hatton's stamina is key. I fully expect him to win a good chuck of the first 5 rounds, it's what he does after that that is key.

I define talent a lot differently. If your talking about pressure fighting, muscular strength, endurance and power, particularly the left hook to the body, Hatton is more "Talented", or naturally gifted at least.

That's the reason why I am predicting Hatton to KO Mayweather.
