Riddick Bowe vs Lennox Lewis Who Wins ?

In 1992 I would've lnet very slightly towards Bowe - but I would probably have been wrong!

I think younger version of Lewis was a bit reckless and Bowe would be able to catch him.

Lewis was good with Davenport who taught him how to use the jab effectively especially against Gary Mason, but when he had Pepe for his trainer he was rubbish and lost against McCall which said it all. I think Bowe was desperate to fight him after his two performances against Tucker and Bruno as he was beatable. Bowe would have won then

However once Manny became his trainer Lennox was virtually unbeatable, although Bowe did have a good winning streak around the same time when he beat a series of unbeaten fighter from Buster Mattis, Larry Donald, Gonzales and Hide, but I would go for Lennox then.

Bowe vs Lewis was going to happen all Lewis had to do was beat McCall and we all know what happened there and by the time Lewis had got himself at the top again Bowe was already badly faded.

Lewis v Ruddock was an eliminator to fight Bowe. Lewis won and Riddick threw the WBC belt in the bin. That's how much Bowe wanted to fight Lewis ;)

Bowe was afraid after the Rudduck fight but got his courage after seeing Lewis struggling in his next two fights but Lewis lost to McCall.

Bowe lost his courage again after the bruising encounters with Holyfield in their third fight and was finished as was illustrated in his two fights with Golota.

Yeh true Bowe didn't last to long as champion. I think the way he avoided big punchers and fought smaller and older fighters like Dokes and ferguson is a good indicator that his management weren't that confident in him.

Bowe and Newman might have said they were going to fight Lennox before he lost to McCall but Bowe actually getting in the ring was unlikely.

Lennox would have beaten up Bowe and Ko'd him whenever they fought.

Well Bowe's mental issue with Lewis aside I think Bowe's size and skill would be enough to force Lewis into a brawl and I think Big Daddy would be able to outslug him for a mid round KO.

It just depends at which point in their careers they fought. After Bruno fight I'd pick Bowe but as soon as Manny was there Lewis.

Bowe had the tools to beat the reckless Lewis of 1992/3, but he did not have the mind.

He was terrified of Lewis, hence why he chickened out of fighting him & why he always insulted Lewis so vociferously.

Audley Harrison has proved, it does not matter if you have the tools to beat a guy, if you are spineless, you will lose.

I think Lewis would have busted him up had they fought.

After Bowe saw how poor Lewis was against Bruno he was scheduled to fight him after McCall. So they were due to meet but KO's got in the way.

Master , Davenport doesnt get the credit he deserves he was doing a good job with Lennox but was always falling out with Frank. I liked the guy

Davenport helped Lewis beat Mason with that superb jab. Whatever happened to him?

Exactly why Riddick dodged him to begin with. He was afraid Lennox would knock him out.

Bowe had a period after the Holyfield defeat where he beat a series of undefeated fighters and may have beaten Lewis. I do not think it was the time when Pepe was his trainer but Lewis was vulnerable then and very clumsy.
