Don't feel bad. I too once said that Pavlik was nothing more than Hype way before the Miranda fight. I had a personal issue against Pavlik but I could no longer deny his greatness. He is some one to be feared in the Middle Weight Division. I don't know about him at Super Middle Weight but I know there is not much there and he could do his little song and dance on people in that division too.

Actually, and I'm not one to brag you understand but I loudly and confidently predicted Pavlik to spark out Edison Miranda too so I perhaps deserve to be seperate from the rest of the names, maybe just a level above looking down :P

Gotta say i thought Taylor would win, but then ive never seen Pavlik fight so i couldn't really make a fair comparison

You can't crow too much, though - Taylor put up a hell of a fight. I wouldn't say that no one can beat Pavlik at 160, cause JT has a better than average shot in a rematch.

I'd still go with Pavlik, though ;D

I have to give props to Pavlik. He put out an amazing fight. I thought JT was going to knock him out. I was almost right, but man Pavlik sure impressed me with his determination and will to wade through the canvas. CC to Pavlik. ;D

Actually Danny I was picking Taylor to win, in all honesty. I said if he stayed outside and boxed and countered he'd pull a decision. But, I said if he ever wore down and decided to get doodlebuged in the corner he would get murdered. I guess I cheated and picked both ::** But I can't say I "for sure" picked Pavlik. I don't care, I couldn't be happier.

I was feeling pretty smart last night...Told my brother I thought Pavlik would score a KO somewhere between round 7 and 10.

I have some humble pie to eat .... I thought Taylor would be too slick, too sharp and know too much for Pavlik. I thought he'd outbox him, commit to throwing much more punches that usual and stop pavlik late on.

I was feeling pretty smug until BOOM. Fair play to Pavlik for weathering the stoorm in the second. I didn't think he's see the round out. He was really well conditioned, and I still think taylor is tight at the weight as he seemed to run out of gas a bit after he couldn't put Pavlik away.

I was also mightily impressed with Pavlik's power, because taylor has a good chin.

What a great advert for boxing that fight was.

Gotta agree with Bigragu...Taylor isn't a technical or slick enough boxer to simply out box Kelly for 12 rounds, and he doesn't have the power to bang with Pavlik. He showed better handspeed and athleticism, but in a twelve round fight sooner or later he is going to have to trade and I think he showed he can't hang in that department.

He may win in a rematch, but I don't see him just cruising to an easy victory. Don't forget, Kelly will bring alot out of this fight also, and will prepare for it if a rematch is made. As far as speed and being slicker and using the ring, JT is better, but Kelly's jab was working well and I didn't really see Jt being that superior in the boxing department, especially in the last 2 rounds, as Pavlik seemed to be finding his rhythm and was blocking alot of JT's shots. Can't wait for the rematch though ;)

Being from Arkansas I hoped Taylor would win, I like Pav too, I think both are stand up guys and make the sport of boxing a better thing than its been in some years past. Both are real men that try to live their lives right outside the ring, they both deserve huge amounts of respect for that.

What I'll be interested to see in the rematch is how each one of them adjusts their game (if at all). If Manny can convince and train Taylor to move his head and give more angles, it could be a tougher second time around. I of course would still want my boy Pavlik to win however.

I had Pavlik 8th round.

Think that frozen lost 50 bucks because he was so sure that taylor would win i think he put real money on it lol

I took a pass on the prediction contest, but I had Pavlik in Sheeps book and picked in several threads. Too bad I pissed most of my virtual winning on stupid longshots. :o

I'll readily admit that I picked JT to win this fight, but thank fucking God I was wrong! I was out of town at a football game last night, so I didn't find out who won until about 10 minutes ago and I'm elated. I though the fight would pretty much look like round 2 did, but Pavlik showed the heart and desire of a true champion and a great chin. I was wrong and that's a good thing.

I thought Taylor would be able to outmove and be too slick for Kelly. Great win for Pavlik though, I feel really good for him that he got the chance and took it. Lets hope he can keep up the good work. Oh yeah i picked JT if it wasn't obvious in my first sentance.

I had some mixed feelings on this fight. I had picked Pavlik by UD on the poll, I really did not expect Pavlik to KO Taylor.

But I had picked Taylor to win on the 21 Question thread.

The fact is that this was pretty much a pickem fight and we might as well been talking right now about JTs brutal second round KO over Pavlik. Kelly just showed some great hart and heavyweight balls to come back from that.
