Keep in mind Andrade posses a big punch himself. And Pavlik is pretty easy to hit. Not to mention his chin is not made of iron. So Andrade scoring a knock out is not out of the question. Pavlik can make 168. But can he take 168 pounders punch?

I actually didn't think much of Andrade when i see him he has no defense he isn't even a decent boxer because he has no real skills yes he has power and a good chin but what else ?? Pavlik has a good defense except for taunting Taylor and getting stupid in round 2 and getting caught he blocked alot of Taylor's punches he has amazing power good chin and great jab and imo is much better fighter than Andrade in every department and as for Miranda and Taylor well they are big Middleweights Miranda was 173 when he fought Pavlik and Pavlik was 171.

What makes you think Pavlik can just one punch out Adrande? Kessler is a very hard punching super middleweight, and lets just say he has enough power to be a one punch knockout artist at 160 and he's knocked out people with one shot too.

Kessler is more polished and a better outside fighter, better fighter in general then Pavlik.

I don't think Pavlik would have the power to stop Adrande, especially at 168, beat him, sure, but not stop him, not in a million years

Andrade is bigger than Miranda and Taylor. He's the same size as Pavlik. With a longer reach. And I think he's stronger. Andrade has fought at Light Heavyweight before. I don't see Pavlik being able to back Andrade up as easy as he did Miranda. If I was to grade there defenses, I would give Andrade a D- and Pavlik a C-. Pavlik is not hard to hit at all. He's been down 4 times for a reason. The way i see it is Pavlik ain't the boxing type. He's a knock out type a guy. I don't see him boxing Andrade. I think he'll trade with him. Which is pretty much the only way Andrade can win. It'll come down to whose chin can take the most punishment. Based on there history, it looks like Andrade has the stronger one. He's never been down. Am I saying Andrade wins? I don't know. But he has a hell of a fucking chance

You know what like VD said Pavlik's been down 4 times and was even rocked by an undersized middleweight named Zertuche.

And Adrande took clean shots(shots he saw and shots he didnt) from Kessler and walked through them.

There's no way Kelly Pavlik coming up from 168 would stand a chance to dent anything in Andrande's armor.

And Adrande can hit hard too, And Pavlik really is a guy who stands up right, he isn't a master boxer and his defense isn't that great either.

What he had was two people who he could beat from the outside which was Taylor and Miranda.

But Zertuche who is a fighter who can fight on the inside tagged him and tagged him often, showed that if you get on the inside with him he will have trouble. And Adrande can walk through what Pavlik throws and get to his chin, Pavlik ain't a defensive master either.

It isnt out of the question that Adrande could beat or even stop Pavlik

It isnt out of the question that Pavlik could win a decision. But it is out of the question in my book that Pavlik could put a dent in Adrande's chin. And Adrande isn't old, he's 29.

And he has a good workrate.

You may not see much in the room of defense, but if Adrande were to beat Pavlik, it wouldn't be on his slick boxing skills where defense would matter.

If he was gonna beat Pavlik he would have to outslug him, and that isn't beyond the realm of reality, in fact, its very likely.

And Pavlik came in 171 against Miranda? Kessler comes in dang near 190.

You must be off your rocker... Kessler hits very hard, and is physically stronger than Pavlik ,and Andrade wasn't affected much. Pavlik on the other hand was badly hurt by Taylor who doesn't hit anywhere near as hard as Andrade. Trying to compare guys with Kessler is like saying Zab Judah doesn't have huge ko capabilities, and because of that Baldomir's chin might not be all that great... When in fact there is probably nobody under 160 that could dent him.

Im willing to bet if they ever do fight Pavlik stops him with in 10 rounds.

Im with Ice hear, Pavlik knocks every mother f***** out, Kessler doesnt even hit that hard, Pavlik would probably be stronger at 168, hes 25/26 thats the only reason he has been at 160 hes young and his metabolism is now slowing down hes 6ft 2 inches. Andrade?? Wtf? Pavlik would finish him in 6 rounds probably earlier if you ask me.

Pavlik hits like a muel. He even said in an interview after the fight he wants to go to 168 so he can eat, man he will probably be even stronger at 168.

You must be off your rocker... Kessler hits very hard, and is physically stronger than Pavlik ,and Andrade wasn't affected much. Pavlik on the other hand was badly hurt by Taylor who doesn't hit anywhere near as hard as Andrade. Trying to compare guys with Kessler is like saying Zab Judah doesn't have huge ko capabilities, and because of that Baldomir's chin might not be all that great... When in fact there is probably nobody under 160 that could dent him.

i find it laughable that people claim, that pavlik is such a power monster.. he hits hard, but he is not such a devastating puncher, he is being touted to be..

sure he hits hard, but he landed straight rignt hands flush on taylor and miranda throughout their fights, guys with good mw chins, but far from proven at smw.. and it took al ot of punishment for both taylor and miranda to go down..

let miranda and taylor fight calzaghe. kessler or bute, and they will be beaten as well..

was it you ice, that claimed kessler isnt a devastating puncher, but just decent.. thats just plain and pure ignorance.. for me kessler is as hard hitting as pavlik, the difference is, their style of fighting, pavlik is all in, kess is more conservative..

andrade would be bigger, equally as strong as pavlik, with a chin of concrete.. if they were to fight, no way in hell pavlik would ba backing andrade up, it would end up being a slugfest, and in such a fight, i would slightly favour andrade..

should pavlik choose to box, and not brawl, i would slightly favour him..

Its called my opinion i have never thought Kessler is a devasting puncher.

Like i said what is so good about Andrade except a good chin ?? he has no defence no skills and just comes forward all the time and blocks punches with his face and has not stopped anyone who is that good except an old man Otis Grant Pavlik would slaughter Andrade and if they fight im willing to bet with you that he will stop Andrade inside of 10 rounds.

This is a fight I'd pay to see. I've honestly only seen a couple of Andrade fights, but you could throw sledgehammers at him and he's still going to stand there in front of you. It's a good thing it seems Pavlik has strong hands because he'll be hitting that dude all night. I see Pavlik winning a decision as he has very good conditioning and can keep the pace all night, but it could be one of those where he gets careless one too many times and gets floored. Kessler boxed him very well, but Kelly will just keep trying for the k.o. and may very well get caught, and as Violent Demise said, can Kelly take the punches at 168 as well as he does now??? Hope this fight happens.

I'm a fan of both fighters and Kelly is favourite but Andrade has a super chin and power too. It would be a war either way. And to whoever said Kessler does not hit hard,thats absurd. I'm certainly not syaing Andrade would win but it would be an absolute war!

Andrade is just a bigger, MUCH more durable version of Zertuchi. Not saying Kelly can't knock him out, I just see a long night for Pavlik with a ud, possible 11th or 12th round k.o. And I doubt they'll even fight if Kelly gets a shot at the top guy after Kessler/Calzaghe. Why would he need to fight Andrade anyways?

andrade has the active best chin but has no boxing skills what so ever
kessler was hitting him with some pinpoint right but he had no mark on his face

they both have good stamina but i cant see andrade being stop
i can see pavlik domainating him ut not stoping also andrade no walk in th park either

Well im willing to bet Pavlik stops him within 10 rounds if he doesn't i lose the bet.

But your right i wouldn't want to see this match up and the chance of it happening is slim but just incase they do thats my bet.

this is a no brainer, pavlik all the way. i'd rather a fight against kessler or jc.

i also see it as going the short route but it will be a tko wherein andrade would still be on his feet and the ref stepping in to halt the massacre.

Pavlik will be beaten eventually, he doesn't have a huge variety of punches often just incorporating the 1,2. His defensive repotoire is limited and his movement is mediocre at best. However, he does have great power, great heart and a will to fight rather than box, so he's a challenge for anybody.

But Andrade will not beat Kelly Pavlik.
