How does this fight go down?
if sandy sadler could beat Pep then who knows , depends on how Pep decides to fight i guess
if Pep's at his elusive best then you can hit him with a bag of gravel :)
but to be fair i rate PACMAN as one of the best and i think he also could beat anyone on his day.
Your forgetting something mate.Quote:

Not so much forgetting ICE , the point im making is,its all guess work, nobody is unbeatable , and Pac certainly in the best of 3 has a chance with anyone in history :)Quote:

Pep would win I have no doubt about that. Dunno if he would make Manny look silly as Manny would be a nightmare for any fighter past or present.Quote:

I think his speed has never been encountered by Pep and probably matches up pretty evenly which nobody even came close to doing back in the 40's. They both have great angles, reflexes, footwork, stamina, and determination. Also I believe that Pep would take awhile to ajust in the sense that he wouldn't be able to keep his hands as low as he did back in the day or Pacquaio would be able to reach him with that speed and combinations.
I'd favor Pac for POWER, SPEED, STAMINA, HEART, and AGGRESSIVENESS.
But Pepp is smarter fighter and has the edge on OVERALL BOXING SKILLS.
Most of the time boxer prevails against brawler.
Pep would win pretty easy IMO.
I don't know its a good match up, and Pacquaio IMO is better than anyone Pep fought. Sadler might have been tougher, and a harder fighter to beat because he was so rough, but Pacquaio is better than Sadler in many, many ways.
Saddler was no bum he could beat Pacman i would not rule it out i mean he was a 2 time Featherweight champion and jr lightwieght champion and was ranked Ring magizne 5th on the top 100 greatest puchers of all time and his record is won 144 (KO 103) + lost 16 (KO 1) + drawn 2 that to me would be a great fight and would be alot more exciting probably then a Pep vs Pac to tell you the truth
Sadler was definitely a great brawler, but Idont' think he was top 5 at all in punching power... Give Pacquaio those gloves and I say he hits as hard as Sadler did, but he's faster. If these two fought it would be exciting, but Sadler would win because he has the better chin. I like the Pep fight more because its opposite styles going at it.
Pep on points
Dont forget Pep also beat Saddler. In Pep's prime not too many guys could beat him or match his skill. I think he would box Pac to a unanimous decision. Pacs style would be made for Pep.
If it goes 15 rounds i would favor Pep more i even favor Saddler more two that is hwy i hate comparing people so far because if it goes 15 i think that might go against pacman to be honest with you but i could be wrong just wanted to point that out for you guys
I fully agree. If there is one thing sure in boxing, it's the chance that one elite boxer can defeat another elite boxer.Quote:

I watch the fights i know pepe was not prime but i would not rule out Saddler beating Pep during any time in his career
ahhh. ok. So this is about willie pep before the accident.
anyway, with the way pacquiao is knocking his opponents through his speed and power, he might have a chance against Pep.
ICB, no offense meant, this is what I mean when i said I am not really comfortable with match ups that won't happen.
I think Pep would win a decision he would frustrate Pacquiao alot but i think Pep at some point in the fight would be dropped but survives to win decision.Quote:

I still think that Saddler fight would be more interesting i still pick Saddler
pac is prolly the best as in strongest fastest and best conditioned compared to pepe's past oppenent.
pepe is prolly the best defensive and elusive fighter pac will ever face.
after saying that, I think if pepe can avoid pac for 12 rounds he should win a u.d
but if pepe can't avoid the constant attack of pacman he is sure to get hurt, and if he can't handle the pain pac dishes out, pac will win by k.o in the late rounds.
this is like unstoppable offensive versus brilliant defense. I say its a toss up depends whos day its on ;D
i agree.Quote:

Not once but on numerous occasions. The accident didnt stop Pep beating almost everybody else that attempted to fight him, so it is not fair to pin the losses to saddler to that factor.
Just watch him against Saddler 2, the best performance he ever put forward.Quote:

Lyle i am not saying that it was Pep that made Saddler have power and a chin i said that because out of his 144 wins he had a 103 Kos and was never stopped in a 162 fights just to make sure i was not just basing that off Pep i mean Saddler was a beast when he was fighting and was a dirty fighter.
Sorry, I misread it....Saddler was a beast, but it did help that Pep had just gotten over the plane crash before their first fight
Pep UD,the good boxer nearly always beat the good puncher imo.
Well tell that to Saddler but i think Pac is not as strong and his chin not as good either not to mention his reach i think Saddler had a hell of a reach for a featherweight reason why he was such a problem at the weight he was to big for alot of people at the weight and power was insane at that weight.
If Pacquiao had his proper gloves and his lucky socks he would win.Quote:
