I think Oliver McCall was about to take a dive but cried his way out of it.... :'( :'( :'( :'(
Augustus vs. Vedder
I agree with that one, maybe Liston - Ali, but FNF ran a piece about it that sought to prove it was more a case of inept reffing than a dive.Quote:

It's interesting how when someone is KO'd with a body shot, especially a liver shot, their will to fight seems so often questioned. Yet every boxer/commentator says how it's the most painful shot, and can incapacitate a fighter no matter how much they want to get up.Quote:

I'd rather be hit 20 straight times in the head than be hit with one hard perfectly landed liver shot, talk about thinking your gonna die, that'll do it for a while ::**
Well yeah, I just couldn't resist a perfect opportunity to get in my cheap shot... I know, I'm a sick bastard ;DQuote:

I'm not even a De la Hoya fan, but anyone who thinks he would take a dive must have not paid much attention to Oscar's career.
Michael Gomez v Peter McDonagh
Bruce Seldon v. Mike Tyson. I never saw someone so happy to lose a title.
Maybe Clifford Etienne v. Mike Tyson but he got smacked with a HUGE shot.
I agree with Etienne v Tyson.Quote:

Maybe Etienne had planned to take a dive but Tyson detonating one on his chin saved him the theatrics.Quote:

Oh and on Liston/Ali,by the second fight the big bad bear was terrified of Ali,so who knows
Ali sure as heck wasnt done though,we have the print of him standing over him screaming "Get up and fight" in the gymn
mayorga, not necessary a dive but allowed himself to get pummeled prolly a deal between him and don king with tito and oscar ;)
I'd say Augustus against Kid Diamond. I swear Augsusts actually walked into some fukin punches in that fight. He is better than that and could have beaten Diamond had he tried.
Tyson and Ettiene were friends before the fight and Etienne was in need of money. Tyson was in need of a good win. If you listen to the post fight interview with Tyson the whole thing sounded suspicious. Also I wouldnt past either guy. Tyson is Tyson and Etienne is a guy who would do anything for money and his boxing career came next to his criminal career (which he obviously wasnt that good at).Quote:

This will get up some people's noses but i am still amazed at Duran's 'NO MAS', he is only behind by 1 and 2 points at the time he quits. What gives? I just find it strange that a fighter quits when not hurt and according to the judges is close.
I heard a rumor that he was having stomach issues....maybe he just didnt want to poop his pants on national T.V. ;)
Tell you the truth i think he did not like being played with i personal think SRL would of won either way
I don't personally think this, but I saw alot of people on other boards saying they thought Castillo took a dive against Hatton.
JMM vs Jaca. Jimrex didn't even try to get up.
I think Castillo just got "old".Quote:

More recent Arces shot to the ribs of Rojas, Penalosas shot to Jhonny.
I was about to post Zab took a dive against Tszyu as a joke but it appears someone beat me to the joke part of the thread.
You've gotta be kidding right?Quote:

I'll tell you what, something tells me you've only seen the fight once possibly twice. I have that fight and I just uploaded that fight a few weeks ago if your interested I could send you the links so you can download it and watch it again in it's entirety. Let me know and I'll send you a PM. :)
no jaca couldn't even try to get up. people have to understand, sometimes when a fighter is dropped it may look they are conscious but there legs are stiff and heavy, being stunned from punishment or a big punch. If you meet a guy that has box before and been dropped they can tell you, there are cases when your body is stun and just can not get up, they even lose the brain power to tell themselves to get up.Quote:

There was one Butterbean opponent who clearly took a dive, Teddy Atlas was commentating and RIPPED into him ("Oh god, someone needs to tell him that the actor's studio is 2 blocks down the street" or something). I know 99% of butterbean's opponents are human bowling pins, but this guy just did not want to fight.
