Did none of you see his fight against Vitali Tsypko? He looked shot and no one could rightfully have protested if the decision had gone the other way. I think I had him losing... Maybe it was just a confidence thing? He seemed very happy after the decision, so maybe that went a long way toward restoring his zeal.
I just wouldn't assume he's gonna blow Peter out of the water. Depends which Jeff shows up...

Agree Myk,I had Lacy Down By 2.His shoulder is major problem.Bout in This One

Manfredo was scared of Calzaghe. I was ringside i at the fight. He was fine coming in, but once he got in there he look very scared. Now whats he going to do against Lacy?
Lacy is one intimidating, bull of a man! And if Manfredo freezes up and throws nothing agaionst him, he'll actually be badly hurt.

This is going to be brutal, painful and long. By the time it's over the fans will have a sick-look on their faces, including the people who dislike Manfredo. He absorbs punishment like a champ. Unfortunately for him, Lacy delivers punishment like one. Manfredo doesn't have the speed, skill or slicks to get away from the onslaught of an offense that Lacy will put on.
Jeff will be looking to make a statement, that he never left. He'll take his time at first, feeling Manfredo out and once he sees how easily it is to touch him he'll come out guns blazing. Manfredo's head will bounce around like it's on a spring in a high wind. He will continue standing when he should fall and his trunks, the canvas and the referees nice white shirt will all have equal amounts of blood soaked into them.
This fight ends with Manfredo on his feet, but barely.

I hope this fight takes place because i am a big Lacy fan and i would like to see him where he was before and Manfredo is a good stepping stone because Lacy should kick his A$$ with ease, but if Lacy lose which i don't see then maybe it's time for my man Lacy to hang it up.

For some reason I see Manfredo beating Lacy. Not that Manfredo is any good, cuz he's garbage (I wouldn't mind fucking his wife, though). It's just I think Lacy is done. I think the shoulder surgery will rob him of some of his power. If it does, than he's pretty much finished. Manfredo is a joke, but I do give him a little credit. He ain't afraid of fighting the big names.

I don't feel judging him by the Typsko fight really results in a fair assessment due to the injury.
I don't want to sound as tho im offering excuses for Lacy, but the fighters you have mentioned are guys who were really sandbagging trying to make him look awkward, (particularily Sheika.)
Against Calzaghe he was made to look limited, butr Calzaghe is the best guy in the division he makes anyone look limited. I feel Lacy is a good fighter who, should he work on skills and mobility has the potential still to be great.
He has both one of the best hearts and chins in boxing today

Take cc # 3. I still think Lacy is done. I remember Dwight Gooden losing his blazing fastball cuz of a torn cuff. If Lacy loses his power cuz of it, than he's nothing more than a journeyman. And even a garbage fighter like Manfredo can still beat a journeyman.

Admired him early, thought he was really good, after Calzaghe fight i met him, thought he was dead-on real nice guy, my mate met him at a training camp a couplke months ago, same opinion, real nice guy. He lives the sport too, always in shape and always bein healthy.

I kind of keep going back & forth on this Lacy Manfredo thing being a worthy fight on the comeback trail.
Think about...it's really not. Try to fight someone that's actually legitly ranked. While I am sure that Manfredo is up there...he sure as shit aint legit.
Froch, Andrade, Bute, or even Green would be the better choices...hell even Bika.
Manfredo? Not so hot.
