Ok guys so you see the nominees above, which is it?
I vote Toney and Billy Blanks, The legendary strength and conditioning coach actually succeeded in making Toney heavier and slower than ever!

I guess I'd have to agree. Oscar should know by now to keep jabbing; and since Freddie isn't thinking too straight these days, maybe he forgot to tell him anyways.
Jermaine doesn't seem to listen to anyone, but he will now, no matter who his trainer is, if he doesn't he might as well quit.
Of course, you can't force Toney not to eat all day, as he seems somewhat stubborn, but his trainer should be able to work out a better program for him. I don't know ??? I probably didn't make any sense on this one ::**
I say Golden Boy and Ishe Smith. Simply for the fact that I don't like Smith. Smith also clearly takes the award for having the ugliest wife.
I take it you never saw Jesse Brinkleys husband wife? ;DQuote:

So your answer was.......none of them then? ???Quote:

What about Buddy McGirt and Lamon Brewster? Or Mickey Ward and Arturo Gatti???
Ha good ones, didn't think of them, Gatti and Ward that was a terrible partnership indeed :coolclick:Quote:

I find is hard to blame Ward for that. The only was he could have had success with Gatti is if he was a necromancer and able to animate the living dead.Quote:

LMAO; no doubt man. Though Gatti still would have gotten beaten.Quote:

What about Peter Manfredo and his dad??? Doesn't Jr. get trained by Sr.??? Anyways, that's an unsuccessful partnership imo.
Yeah, that's definately true. I think Ward genuinely believe Gatti had a shot, but he should've known better.Quote:

....I think Jermain had the body type and maybe an incling of style to be successful with Manny but obviously he's not a guy who likes to jab, hook off the jab, and throw the right hand. IMO he's not on his toes enough or vicious enough to be a Manny Steward fighter.
Sometimes the old saying "If it ain't broke don't fix" it applies and this would be one of them. I thought Manny would take Jermain to the hall of Fame but the partnership didn't work out too well.
Taylor either needs a better defense or he needs to be up on his toes moving around....maybe he could go back to Birmingham or maybe he could pick up someone else....Joe Goosen or Floyd Mayweather Sr. or someone
Toney and Blanks was almost a gimme
Manny and taylor here....everyone just waited and waited for manny to turn jermain into this great fighter, he seemed like he was close and just needed the icing on top, but it never happened and taylor never (at least to me) fought the same again. Stick with what got you there jermain. I still don't think he would have won that night, pavlik was just on one.
...he damn near KO'd Kelly in that fight! Had he listened to Manny or just been consistant he could have won.
Jermain has the skill to beat Pavlik but he just has to fight smart and be ready to go 12....he hasn't had good stamina since he left Dan Birmingham
I also voted Toney and Blanks.
CC for the poll, Bilbo. A very good idea you had.
cc back thanks BG, I actually made this poll weeks ago, seems to have been reborn :)Quote:

I feel a return to Burns will reveal how much Jermaine is worth and his next fight for me will be an all or nothin gamble.
Good luck to Taylor.
Voted for Manny & Taylor. Mainly because Manny gives advice in the corner, and Taylor does the exact opposite.
However...after Saturday, Joe Goosen-Joel Casamayor might go on my list.
Bika's bitch took that p4p award this year, and will probably go down as the ugliest boxing bitch ever seen.Quote:
