Boys, have not seen the Barrera fight, a friend is sending me a copy but I wanted to know, was anything mentioned about his foot after the fight? Actually feel it's a karma thing after I took the piss out of pacman for having a blister and cheap socks :-[ :-X
I just wanted to keep it off the main boards.
The only thing I remember about Barrera's feet was that he was using them alot...to run.
You will be disappointed in that fight. He could have closed the gate on Pac & didn't.
I was pissed...off. ;D

Saddo - I can't believe you thought lawton could do it, he was there as a punch bag and was.
I can understand you thinking it's just fighter bias, maybe it is but if you guys knew hatton was either injured in a fight or came in ill prepared you'd probably get annoyed at people calling him a coward.
I stand by my view that with some sense his two stoppage losses should not have been.
1st jnr jones, 2 weeks prep due to family member being kidnapped and trying to extort money.
the stuff about the surgery only became widely known after barrera dumped his long time manger maldonado, who in turn leaked that S*** knowing the problems that it would cause, he also claims he fixed it for barrera to win the 2nd morales fight.
1st fight with pac, Marco only knew on the thursday that he was cleared to fight. He had been flown back & forth for tests, scans etc. When he was cleared his words were that he had to do it, was his first since signing with golden boy and had to go through with it.
2nd time round, my making fun of pacs blister comes to haunt me as from about round 5 barrera had the same problem, he said he was unable to plant his foot to punch properly and it was like walking on broken glass. How I took it, he feels sad over the loss but something of a moral victory and knows if things had been different he would have/could have won.
I spoke with team mab before & after the fight.
I think that about covers what I wrote before.

from seeing khan live, he does have very fast hands coming forward, still think he's slowish/open on his defence, scott ain't exactly the speediest of jabbers but when he bothered to try and land it it actually did.
warrens lot told scott he was not good enough about 4 fights back since lawtons camp were pushing for the fight, then all of a sudden when khan look like crap he's back as a contender. Infact the only one who didn't look like crap on the undercard was Pryce.
wasn't that impressed with thaxton either, maybe a bad night. Khan will try the same tactics on thaxton but at least he can punch.
will someone come along and save us from the band waggon.
