I sure hope this fight doesn't get cancelled for some lame reason. I hope Kessler retires this guy ugly like.
If its true and he will retire if he's beat then there is a massive amount at stake for Calzaghe. His entire Career's reputation is in jeopardy.
I seriously doubt that Joe's gonna lose this fight...but if he did...he couldn't have lost to a more deserving chap than Kess.
I think Kessler will win and if Kessler does win and Calzaghe retires i will be disappointed that he wouldn't even try for a rematch or ect.Quote:

i hope Calzaghe looses and then never bores me again with his pitter patter arm punches.
I'd be disappointed if he retired too...but I just don't know that Kess can keep up the pace that Joe brings.Quote:

Id like to add that this fight also has the potentail for being a cracker, i wouldn rule out Kessler's power just because the genetical freak of nature Andade didn go down. Kessler is a built Fuka and he might try to Bully Joe. If thats the case the fight could be real exciting as Joe wont take kindly to being manhandled.Quote:

his bluffing, why would you retire after one fight. he should atleast go for a rematch. joe doesn't appear too confident beating kessler.
Statistically he's an old man, but he's looked after himself so i don't think he's aged that much, similarly to Hopkins i gues in that it is largely due to a healthy diet and plenty of excercise out of training. The hands are the one worry. Funnily enough in his tougher recent fights (as in quality opponent.) he didn hurt his hands against Lacy or Bika, he managed to hurt them against tune-ups Manfredo and Ashira. So it is a possability that the hands tend to injure when Joe gets careless.Quote:

I think he'll retire undefeated.
Not too confident sounding to me either, and talking about retiring just cause' you lose is a quitter attitude to me. Sounds like he's already getting excuses ready in case he loses. I'm old, my hands are arthritic, I lost passion, my dog died, :blahbla: :bawling: :blahbla:Quote:

Kessler has shown a willingness to fight the best, also to travel, i'm not buying into the whole road warrior type thing just yet because he has gone where the money is, if the money was at home he would of fought mroe there, but he will travel and fair play to him. He ha fought some of the best around, none really world class, but you can't ask more of a fighter to just fight the best whomever they are or however good they are, im sure if he wins this will be the first of many fights.

Also, thata rticle, where does it even hint Joe would retire if he lost? thats bullshit... since when does "if i lost i don't know what i do mean" if i lost thats it i'm out of the game? i mean shit i could understand if kessler put on a one side beat down calzaghe may think that being on the top for so many years, being second best would not suffice, but you can bet your lifeif joe was to fail to win this in a close fight there would be a rematch, shit i bet its in the damn clause.
Well stated.Quote:

true, but i mean if he lost in a way that showed kesler was just to good and a rematach would not be any different hewould have no reason to carry on IMO...Quote:

Apart from kessler there is no one of worth for joe to beat at SMW, pavil prolly wouldn't fight him if he had just lost, i don't know about hopkins, he might see it as a possible win and pay day, dawson or anybody else...
If it was close, rematch and that would happen, if it was one sided, with all the problems hes had, just call it a day, no shame i knowing when your time is up.
What does Kess do if he is dominated is he just a overrated loser i just wonder because what happens to Kess if he loss no one ever talks about that i am just curios on what you guys think
I guess that means good bye Calzaghe. And good riddance. Kessler will shock the boxing world (not me) when he stops Calzaghe early.Quote:

That still does not answer my question to tell you the truth
What do you have against "Jeffs" ???? ha.Im stuck in B.F southern coast,Up untill a couple of years ago we thought "Kessler & Calzaghe" was the brand name of a Potent micro-brew.Quote:

I'm going with a Calzaghe UD. It will be closer than the Welsh judges scorecards show, but it will still be a pretty clear win for Calzaghe.
What will happen if Kessler loses just to ask will it hurt Kessler career or not effect i much at all
Calzaghe's the best at 168.Quote:

If Calzaghe lost to Kessler, Calzaghe would then be 2nd best.
So to answer your question.................
Calzaghe is one guy that Kessler could lose against, but still go on to have a great career.
Whereas if Calzaghe loses thats pretty much it, unless they rematchQuote:
