Re: Lyle's Everything Halloween Thread
Good thread, Lyle.
I would like to remind everyone that lives in the United States and Canada that The Monster Squad is now on Region 1 DVD. If you loved it yourself or just want your children to see a classic from before their time be sure to pick up a copy.

Re: Lyle's Everything Halloween Thread
Oh My God, that Braan & Tyson video was the funniest thing I have seen in ages.
Nice one Lyle.
I love Halloween in the UK. The weather is all chilly and there are fireworks everywhere as its Bonfire Night a few days later. Its my favourite time of year there. And bangers and mash..
Halloween is much more of a fun event in the US but its a great laugh and birds dress up in skimpy fucking gear which is blinding....

Re: Lyle's Everything Halloween Thread
People are so effing miserable at halloween round my way, cunts wont answer the door. A half a house brick through the window normally gets a response.

Re: Lyle's Everything Halloween Thread
My girlfriend had never seen The Legend Of Hell House so last night I broke out the DVD and we watched it.
Too bad for me I'd just recently watched the original Planet Of The Apes because instead of Roddy McDowall the "medium" I was seeing Roddy McDowall the chimp-man. It's that voice of his...

Here is an underrated horror film from my collection.
It's called Luther The Geek and you should check it out if you've never seen it. He clucks like a chicken instead of talking... rather creepy

Re: Lyle's Everything Halloween Thread
I went to Knotts Scary Farm last Friday and this Friday were going to Halloween Nights of Horror in Universal Studios...
I hear nights of horror is crazier, like te theme park is darker and less lit and more Halloween themed.
Knotts was cool but there was enough lights to see and all that the haunted houses were good tho they had 'The Doll House' they also had 'The Grudge 2' they had the 'X Murderer".

Interesting bits of tidbits,Chaney Sr was originally supposed to star as Dracula, but died of cancer,so the role went to Lugosi whod been doing the broadway version,Frankensein was originally offered to Lugosi, but he turned it down.
Lugosi would go on to play the role of Frankensteins monster, and star in a remake of Chaney's London After Midnight, under the title Mark Of The Vampire

I already asked Legion if I could borrow his head for halloween. Anyone who knows him knows what I mean. Put it on a window ledge with a candle in it, and the kids will just drop their candy and run!
It's one scary pumpkin. hahaahaaa

Re: Lyle's Everything Halloween Thread
Something that scared the heck out of me when I was a child was the intro for Tales From The Darkside.
It wasn't until I was much older that I actually watched an episode. The intro was the better part of the show. To be honest it still gives me chills to this day.

Re: Lyle's Everything Halloween Thread
Quick question.....which is scarier? #1 Slow Zombies #2 Fast Zombies #3 The Zombies from Michael Jackson's Thriller?
DISCUSS
-
Re: Lyle's Everything Halloween Thread
Lyle a halloween guy? It depends on the zombie's attributes. If they are like Margarito and slow but never stop coming at you then they are going to be a bit scarier. If they are like Mike Tyson and really fast and scary but can be lasted out then I'd go with slow zombies. If they are fast and can't be slowed then yeah they are obviously scarier.
I think Michael is scarier then any of those zombies :(
-
Re: Lyle's Everything Halloween Thread
I would like to suggest some not so scary Halloween movies for everyone to check out:
Arsenic and Old Lace
Abbott & Costello Meet The Killer Boris Karloff
Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstien's Monster
The 'Burbs
Ernest Scared Stupid
Monster Squad
Vampire in Brooklyn
It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown

The slow zombies are ominous and can't be stopped...you can run your ass off but you get tired....they don't and eventually you're going to need to rest and then they'll get you!
The fast zombies are moving faster however unlike the slow zombies this makes them easier to trip up and therefore this puts you at an advantage as you are not dead and therefore should have good control over your fine motor skills and you can use that to your advantage.
The choreographed dancing zombies are the true horror...you never know what they are going to do next other than they will all have jazz hands while doing it
