Juan Diaz: Bring on Pacquiao!
The now three-time world champion Juan "The Baby Bull" Diaz spoke eloquently as usually. Thanking all those in attendance and his camp. He went on to say that he is ready to face the best fighters around, namely Manny Pacquiao and WBC Lightweight Champion David Diaz. "I think I am ready for Pacquiao. He has beaten legendary Mexican Fighters but I think it is time he faced a young Mexican Champion."

I would love to see this match up.

Re: Juan Diaz: Bring on Pacquiao!
juan needs more then just numbers of punches cause pac doesn't stay in the pocket, pac is going to pick him apart. pac too fast, too active and too good for juan.
-
Re: Juan Diaz: Bring on Pacquiao!
I think Juan would spark him.
-
Re: Juan Diaz: Bring on Pacquiao!
Manny would win this with a hard faught decision. Juan is good, but manny just has that something else. He brings so much into every fight and i cant actually see him losing again.

JMM will give you the loss you can't see. ;)

no way jose will JMM beat manny pac. He should go looking for Chris John i think, he needs to fight either him or pac next. But manny is the best for sure.

Re: Juan Diaz: Bring on Pacquiao!
him and valero would be good also but i think juan can pull it off

Hes too experience for Valero, I think he would stop him with the sheer speed of the punches!

Juan hits harder at a higher weight. He throws constant punches. I know Pac does the same but I think his flaws would be found out against a guy that just keeps coming.
-
Re: Juan Diaz: Bring on Pacquiao!
diaz would handle pac..
im sure based on styles, that pac will have a lot of trouble with a fighter like diaz.
diaz has an excellent defence, and never stops throwing, and i cant see pac having succes, as a counter puncher.
and diaz is used the power that pac brings to the table, that would be nothing special for him, and as he himself stated, its abpout time pac fought a young mexican fighter, instead of chasing paydays.

Are you trying to say manny pac doesnt hit hard? He stopped Eric Morales, an all time mexican great in 3 rounds. He might have been over but thats a bloody acheviement. Manny keeps coming forward as well, i think hes improved a lot and throwing both the right and left hands now would put JMM in more trouble because i know hes got a lot better, as for JMM hes still amazing, but i dont think hes improved THAT much since there last fight.

JMM-Pac 2, will be a great fight. I just think JMM has his number, and this time around, JMM won't get caught slipping early. Regardless, this is the fight that should happen, and needs to happen before Manny moves up. JMM-UD, but very close.

Re: Juan Diaz: Bring on Pacquiao!
Let Pacquiao fight 2 more at superfeather (JMM,Valero) then he can try lightweight. By that time Juan Diaz will have unified against David Diaz, and fought another fight (Casamayor).

My thoughts exactly. Good common sense thinking.
-
Re: Juan Diaz: Bring on Pacquiao!
i don't know diaz well but im starting to like him. he's calling out the big names which is good
-
Re: Juan Diaz: Bring on Pacquiao!
Diaz i do not think will hurt Manny he is a very weak puncher at least that what i saw in him he hit a guy 12 times in a row and did not spark him once if Manny carries his power Juan is done and then i am happy
-
Re: Juan Diaz: Bring on Pacquiao!
Or i like to see JMM face him which i think JMM would win and i would still be happy
-
Re: Juan Diaz: Bring on Pacquiao!
Juan Diaz should fight Manny, JMM isnt going to agree to terms with Pac and Juan is hot property following his win so why not. Pac wants to go up to 135 and fighting David Diaz is a f**kin joke a shot Morales almost did a job on him so whats the point. For me Pac has to fight Juan or Guzman next or JMM if it can get made anyone else and id be very dissapointed its about time he started to justify his p4p no 2 rating.

Re: Juan Diaz: Bring on Pacquiao!
I was excited to see these news. I will take the liberty of saying that Pacman vs. Diaz has the elements to be a candidate for the fight of the year, if it happens. Their aggressive styles will make the night for all boxing fans. Although I want to see the rematch between Manny and Marquez, I have to say that I prefer the fight with Diaz.
-
Re: Juan Diaz: Bring on Pacquiao!
Casamayor is right. They are running from him

I am a big fan of Casamayor, but I am not sure about what he can do against the stamina of Diaz or Pacman at this stage of his career. I think Casamayor has been stolen couple of times, but I think it will be tough for him at this moment. However, Casamayor has a great style and will give a lot of headaches to any fighter in his weight division. If Casamayor is ready control the stamina of these young fighters for 12 rounds of boxing he may give the surprise also, and we have to consider that he has fought punchers like Corrales and Freitas. It will be great to see Casamayor also fighting any of these guys.

Re: Juan Diaz: Bring on Pacquiao!
if Juan fights Pac i doubt you can call it running from him. The Pac fight would make more money, more respect for the winner and overall a much better fight. If Juan cant get the Pac fight then by all means he should fight Casa but at the moment Casa just isnt a big draw risk outweight reward.

Pacquaio wants valero next.

are you insane wakoko1? Pacquaio hasn't fought a real opponent in the last 2-3 years? are you watching boxing? I am supposed to welcome you here coz that has become my habit to give newcomers their first cc but I am making an exception now. I haven't given an sc for quite some time but here's your second one.

Re: Juan Diaz: Bring on Pacquiao!
Wakooko1,
Your post was deleted by me. I would strongly suggest you tone it down and make better use of this forum it's a great place with a lot of good people. Don't go down the wrong road here or you'll be gone from here faster then what you can say "Pac-Man".
Thanks,
CutMeMick :)

i presume you are 1 silly pac fan retard.
look, pacquio has NOT fought anyone of note the past 2-3 years. let me list the fights of manny after morales 1:
- victor velasquez - obviously HANDPICKED
- erik morales 2 - decent, but morales just came from a loss and obviously 1 step away from retirement
- oscar larios - just came from a loss, JUMPED 2 divisions
- morales 3 - EXTREMELY shot version
- georgie solis - w(ho) tf?
- barrera 2 - came from a loss, 60 years old and really washed up
what was the point of taking barrera 2 when he had marquez 2 - potentially equal or more of a money making match up?
why is pac's hitlist looking Shhitt like this? given the constant challenge thrown at him by soto, guzman, barios, valero etc.
given how rabid you ridiculous pacnuts are, that hitlist doesn't look all that impressive. i personally find it so much weaker than the hitlist of floyd during the time he was coasting. look a man in his prime fighting patsies, old washed up fighters isnt the way to go higher.
now who's next? david mafocking diaz. damn right. the Fock with pacquio, scum little bich. tito trinidad didn't go this bich route ever.
While I may agree with some of your opinions on Pacquiao...the way you express yourself is pure & utter ignorance.
If CutMeMick decides to take a break tonight...I'll be here to monitor your idiotic ways until you are banned...& once I go to sleep...there'll be another mod to take my place.
People like you don't last long in a community like this...& you are a black eye on boxing fans. Crying shame you did'nt stick with football, MMA, or NasCar where chumps like you belong.

Re: Juan Diaz: Bring on Pacquiao!
I will agree that Pacman needs to step up and take on the better fighters from here on out.
He's played the Senior Ciruit long enough now.
I am a usual PPV buyer, but didn't vs Barrera.
Manny is a good fighter, but really, has he been testing himself as of late ?

the outcomes haven't looked like much of a test for pacman but everytime before the fights we still have half betting against pac. so that means guys pac has been fighting aren't as bad well not til pac pounds them.

Re: Juan Diaz: Bring on Pacquiao!
I know JuanDiaz wants a BIG NAME but why doesnt he challenge somebody in the welterweight division? He started there anyway right? ::**

He started as a Junior Welterweight. He never fought at Welterweight. And I don't think he should. As a Welterweight, I think he gets smashed.

That's silly bro. He only weighed 142 v Julio Diaz AFTER being rehydrated. Manny weighed 144,he's closer to WW!

If you read what I said again, you'll see I said "Pac does the same". He hits hard...but I think Juan would hit harder at the weight. I see the fight being alot like Morales-Pac I. Pac would give it his all but come up short.

Ok My bad, junior welter but fact remains he's(juan) naturally bigger frame wise. Heck some folks could weigh heavier than they look because of increased lean mass like PAC but that doesnt change the fact that their bone structure are really small. I could weigh about 180 lbs and do 18 reps full chin ups and run pretty good and look solid but that doesnt mean I can fight a natural 180 pounder.
-
Re: Juan Diaz: Bring on Pacquiao!
Thing is he's kinda tubby where he is so what could you expect at welter ;D
-
Re: Juan Diaz: Bring on Pacquiao!
How would Juan hit harder then Manny he hits like a feather weight Juan one of the weakest hitters i have ever seen in lightweight his power is like a featherweight power at best and if he went up he would get crushed as VD pointed out he is now the weakest fighter i have ever seen it i used to think it was Paulie but no Juan was just as weak so i do not think strengh would be a facter i think Pac is as stronger then Juan even though he is the lighter weight just some thoughts
-
Re: Juan Diaz: Bring on Pacquiao!
Not be be rude it be a tough fight but it would not because Juan power because he has none in my veiw i will wait to see if i am wrong

So many factors to consider in Morales vs Pac 1. 1st, Pac had a bad cut during that fight. Joe Cortez called it legal cut when in fact there was a headbutt. I've watched again the fight and Pacquaio was truly distracted with only one eye in the fight (blood was all over). 2nd, pac was forced to use the winning gloves instead of his cleto reyes gloves. That affected his effectiveness.I suggest, you watch the 2nd fight when everything was fair. That's the Pac that Diaz will be facing. If you don't have the fight, i can post it for you.

Re: Juan Diaz: Bring on Pacquiao!
Juan calling out Manny should get the same harsh criticism that Jermain got for calling out Kaseem and Cory. You don't call out smaller fighters that have a good chance of slowing down when they come up to your weight. At least Oscar went down to see Floyd and Shane went down to see Miguel. The most sensible fight right now for Juan is either David or Joel. The most sensible fight right now for Manny is Joan or Edwin. Those questions should be answered for those two fighters before their names get put in the same question.

Re: Juan Diaz: Bring on Pacquiao!
Well the difference is Pacman is a pound for pound top ten and a different level then Ouma and Spinks
