What's your guiltiest fave film admission from your youth?
Ok guys, so what films from your youth do you fondly remember that are a bit well......embarrassing to admit.
I'll start with one of my fave films growing up, the cheesy 80's chick flick Mannequin with Kim Catrall.
It summed ups the 80's for me, big bad hair, the stupid leather outfits and crazy clothes and of course the music.
Starships 'Nothing's going to stop us now' is one of my favoruite ultra camp songs from the 80's
Not seen this film since I was a kid but I'm thinking of buying it from Amazon just to relive the nostalgia.

So what old films do you remember from your youth.
PS, Scrap watching Euripides perform in the Dionysia in Anicent Greece as a young lad doesn't count :P

Ha glad somebody else liked it. I used to fancy Kim Kattrall like mad in this film. In fact that bit where she opens up her coat to reveal her underwear and stockings provided me with the material for one of my earliest wanks I recall :-X
I think that's the reason I look back at it so fondly, my earliest memory of :spunk: an interest that has sustained and endured ever since. ;D

That along with the Goonies was a classic for kids growing up though, nothing to be embarrassed about. :)

Re: What's your guiltiest fave film admission from your youth?
Rocky I
Seen it about 100 times and I knew the script by heart.
How sad is that.
Now I can't stand Stallone since the Contender but I like the Contender series.
Scarface is another movie I am guilty of watching one too many times.

These are all boys films though Danny, I'm talking about the embarrasing films that you like, i.e. Sound of Music, Black Beauty etc ;)

Re: What's your guiltiest fave film admission from your youth?
All Chuck Norris movies, but particularly Lone wolf McQuade. Seriously, I watched that movie 1 too many times. It came on a few weeks ago and I hadn't seen it in like 17-18 years. I actually knew every line as soon as they were spoken. My girl was somewhat creepified{is that a word???}.
Most embarassing definately is Sixteen Candles and Mary Poppins, and I still watch them both when they come on t.v. I know, I'm :gay-as-steelie:, so don't waste your time telling me something I already know.

now there is a film i used to watch when i was well young, i think it was a horror or a spoof - but forgot the name of it years ago...
Its about these group of kids trying to killing warewolves and i think dracular, i believe frankenstein is on their side, i pretty sure the kids are like in highschool age, they make silver bullets and shit in school to kill the warewolves, and i believe frankenstein ends up killing the dracular guy by throwing him onto one of those rot iron fences and the pointy top/stake goes through his heart??
CC for a week if anyone knows the title to this...

Re: What's your guiltiest fave film admission from your youth?
There were sooo many movies I watched too much as kid. Classics like.............
"Blood Sport"-Starring Jean Claude Van Dam
"Top Gun"-Starring Tom Cruise
but my personal favorite was Stephen King's masterpiece:
Maximum Overdrive
Starring none other than Emilio Estevez.
For those that don't know... it was about some alien force took over all machines on planet Earth. Then the machines turned on us humans and proceeded to kill us. Most of the killer machine centered around these big semi trucks, but there were a few others included as well.

Re: What's your guiltiest fave film admission from your youth?
Big Trouble in Little China. Looking back it's corny, but back then it was awesome
-
Re: What's your guiltiest fave film admission from your youth?
The Labirynth, all the Conan movies....heres one for Bilbo, I actually saw Manequin 2: On the Move at the theater. It was one of those free test screenings but I actually watched it...I kind of liked the first but this one sucked balls. The best part of the first one is when that dude see then main guy making out with Kim Catrall then shes a manequin, so he starts making out with all these manequins hoping they come to life....ahhh the 80's, and that security guard(the guy from Police Academy, another guilty pleasure)

Yeah, good film - I also remember Porkies and White Fang.
I grew up in Tanzania and the Middle east so we didn;t see any films - the ones I remember 'from my youth' were actually when I was quite old as I didn;t go to a cinema or have a TV until I was about 15.

White Fang couldn't compare to the classic dog film The Call Of the Wild. When I was a little boy we got a dog and called him Buck after the dog in that movie.
Other animal related classics were Digby the Biggest Dog in the World and the all time classic Tarka the Otter.
Bright Eyes and Plague Dogs were the best of the animated films although I remember Plague Dogs making me cry.

Re: What's your guiltiest fave film admission from your youth?

Re: What's your guiltiest fave film admission from your youth?
1980's we had teachers strike so went to the movies to watch Back to the future, Goonies, Rocky 4 and Predator. The Stallone and Arnie rivalry, Tyson being champion, Daisy Duke, woman from Buck Rogers and Fall guy, my first girlfriend I wish I could go back to 1986.

Re: What's your guiltiest fave film admission from your youth?
OK I fear this thread has strayed off course.
Weird Science
Back to the future

Big Trouble in little china
Top Gun
Rambo
None of these count, if anyone is feeling guilty about watching these give yourself a backheel in the bollocks!

Re: What's your guiltiest fave film admission from your youth?
OK fuck it here goes...
Ernest Goes To Camp
-
Re: What's your guiltiest fave film admission from your youth?
What the hell? I'm not seeing many "guilty" admissions here... Chuck Norris and all the other stuff mentioned is all cool sh!t that i'd still be proud to admit that I love today, let alone as a kid who doesn't know better....
I'll get the thread started by admitting I loved Sleepless in Seattle. I watched it like 20 times and will also guiltily admit to beating off to it a few times to a single scene where you see Meg Ryan's nipples (poking through clothes) for about .5 seconds (thank you slow motion on VCR)...
Andre I watched Mary Poppins the other day on TV and although she kinda annoyed me back in the day (Mary, definitely not the show), watching it the other day I realized she's pretty hot with her freckles and I would surely slip one up her given the chance..
