Mayorga accepts Vargas proposal for fight to be at 168??
Just read this. It appears Vargas asked Mayorga for the fight to be made at 168,and Mayorga,being the crazy sob he is,accepted! The higher the weight class,the more it favours Vargas. I see Ricardo gassing after a few rounds,Vargas winning on points.

The very fact that Vargas needed it to be at 168 after his career at 154 is a bad indicator tho.

Well he ballooned to 200 plus pound when he was not training so I dont see it as that much of a surprise really. Mayorga will fight anyone,anywhere,any time,any place,just offer him some decent $$$ and he's there.

Agreed. I think Mayorga is at least in shape. Fatty isn't. I say Mayorga sparks him. It won't go the distance, I can't see Vargas lasting out.

Vargas claimed before the fights original schedule date that the reason he wanted this fight was because he couldn't go out on a loss...
So if thats true and he still wanted to compete, why would he let himself explode to 200lbs???

He's not going to have a choice. He looked slow against Mosley last time out, I think Mayorga's wild style will catch him, stun him and knock him out. He'll go out on a loss...he's just after the payday.

The fight will probably be on christmas day as a heavyweight contest.
Mayorga is way beyond his weight at SMW. I hope he mutilates Vargas though. I cannot stand the guy.

Yeah, he's really good for boxing; talking about having sex with his opponents wife and setting a great example by doing roadwork with a Marlboro hanging out of his mouth ::** His fights are entertaining though, I loved watching Oscar beat him silly.

Mayorga hasnt fought since the DLH fight. Thats serious inactivity. Obviously he has no real intention of getting back into the mix just like Vargas. Its a strange one off fight.
I hope Mayorga wins but it just seems to be a fight for an extra payday on both sides.

I can't hate Vargas, he's been involved in some awesome boxing matches and granted he lost most of his big ones but he's always shown he can box and adapt. He did it with Trinidad but kinda gassed out, did it with De La Hoya but again gassed..he is one of few that solved the Winky Wright puzzle at such a young young age too.
He's discrediting himself though by letting himself go and requesting the fight to be at bigger and bigger weights. It's a shame really..I hope he at least puts a decent account of himself. You'd think with all the talk about how he's been training since January he'd make 162 without a hitch..

Yes, yes we did. Vargas is a fat ass, Mayorga is a bad ass. Mayorga was easily gonna make the 162 lb limit too, so he's gonna be in shape, least I'm hopin he is. Vargas on the other hand is not, ya gotta go with Mayorga, he's hungry, he needs to pay off those bad checks he passed in Nicaragua. That fat b@stard is tailoring his boxing career around his eating habits? I was reading in an interview he was asked what he was going to do after boxing and Vargas said I will eat whatever I want and Drink whatever I want whenever I want to. Both these guys are going to come in ridiculously out of shape. I wouldnt be surprised if neither training.
