Re: most exciting boxing match you saw live
I took my kid brother to London to watch Benn v McClellan.
Despite the tragic end, it is the most exciting fight I ever saw live, anyway.

Re: most exciting boxing match you saw live
I forgot to answer/reply to the thread.
I know I've possibly posted this about 100 gazillion times.
I was ringside at Castillo-Corrales I and it is one of those days where I can tell you what I did the day before, the day of the fight and the day after the fight. By FAAAAR the single most amazing fight I will ever see, I know people have been going to watch live boxing for 40, 50 years and not once have they seen a great fight like that. At just 23 I got the chance to witness what is considered the greatest fight ever in the history of boxing.

Re: most exciting boxing match you saw live
I have a few....
Holyfield/Lewis at the Garden was damn exciting...The fight itself was good but the atmosphere of a HW title fight when the two guys are known and respected like Lewis and Holy is hard to describe....one of those you have to be there things to understand.....
DLH/Trinidad...Both guys were top names in the sport at the time and everyone there waited for one to get caught and KO'd......
Tszyu/Judah----I went to this one just to see the return of Kostya and what followed was like the biggest bonus you counld ever get...like finding a REAL diamond in the cracker Jack box lol...
Countless Tyson bouts....Each one is exciting in itself one way or another

You know what is crazy ICB...After 20 years and countless fights attended or watched live on TV,,,,To this day if it is the right fight I get goosebumps during the ring walks and intro building up to the bell.....There is nothng like the fights in person!!!.....No matter how many times I go during the rest of my life I don't think that will change.....

Re: most exciting boxing match you saw live
My Favourite fight ringside was Lewis vs Botha but the most exciting had to be Thompson vs Sellers . 6 knockdowns in 4 rounds . Edge of the seat . Great fight between chinny bangers !

Re: most exciting boxing match you saw live
I just attended Pavlik vs Taylor; what an insain enviroment.

Re: most exciting boxing match you saw live
Marco Antonio Barrera-Kennedy McKinney at the Great Western Forum in Inglewood.

Re: most exciting boxing match you saw live
Mesi-Izon
Wasn't the most exciting fight in the world by any means.
Just the onliest one I've seen live, so by definition the most exciting one I've seen live.

Re: most exciting boxing match you saw live
I've been to a few big fights, but the were usually pretty one-sided.
Believe it or not, the most "exciting," fight I've probably been to was.............
Paez vs. Dorsey II
Not the biggest, by far. But probably the most exciting live.
Paez's showboating went out of control at one point, even-though the fight ended in a draw.

Re: most exciting boxing match you saw live
Oddly enough out of every bout that I have ever been to...the fight that I got the most enjoyment & excitement out of was on the undercard of the Oscar vs Floyd fight.
Michael Katsidis vs Amonsot & it was one of the most intense & toe to toe battles that I have ever seen. I was no the edge of my seat for the entire 12 rounds.
Just talkin about it makes me wish that I could see it again...right now.

I watched in my living room, and I felt the same way. Katsidis is awesome;throughout the entire fiight I kept telling my wife how they were going to stop it at any second because of Kasidis' horrible cuts.

You mean they televised that fight?
I had no idea. There is hope that I can see it again.
Seriously...that was an incredible match & I usually don't get into that "Gatti-esque" type of fighter. He was just do unbelievable in that match. You could literally feel the punches as they connected during that one. I loved it...he just seemed so unstoppable in that bout.
I don't think that he'll last long with that style.
If he does end up fighting Juan Diaz as the organization is hammering for...he'll be giving up his position & WBO interim title in a fire fight that won't favor him.

No SHIT! frozen?? You were there? Wow!! that must have been sweet to see Jorge in his young days.
In regards to the fight, Paez had no business in that fight. He beat Dorsey the 1st time and tho it wa close he had already moved on by beating Espinoza he should have moved up in weight from that point. Not sure if you know but Paez was struggling with weight badly prior to the 1st Dorsey fight but he wanted to continued defending his title IMO I think he pretty much knew that what was happening there as a Feather would be the highlight of his career and he wanted to make the best of it. If I'm not mistaken after the Dorsey II, Paez never won a title again.
Thanks for sharing that frozen.
