I'm a really big Sturm fan,but if he shows up that way against Abraham, Taylor or Pavlik
he will be eaten alive...
He hides way to much behind his defense...
I think it's become quite obvious why Strum won't step up the competition. He's not really that good. I think Pavilk, Taylor and Miranda all crush him. He needs to keep doing what he's doing. Staying his ass in Europe defending against mediocre opponents. It's the only way he stays champion.

That's the third big suprise in the prediction comp this weekend, Lujon KO'ing Matthyse, Walker getting KTFO in 10 seconds and now Sturm escaping with a draw :-\
Fair to say that pretty much everybody has lost their joker picks this week.
In Sturms defense I have to say that Randy Griffin really did throw alot...they don't do punch
statistics on german tv,but I would guess Griffin did throw close to 1000 punches in the fight...
If Sturm had Abrahams power (or Taylor/Pavlik) he would have knocked Griffin out I'm sure of that...
But he doesn't and thats that...
And in addition to that he didn't move around the ring like he normally did...I still don't know
what was wrong tonight,but this was bad performance by Sturm...maybe he shouldn't have taken
that in between fight vs Tulio Gonzalez Alcoba...

Really disappointing result except for the Oscar fight i had never really been that impressed with Sturm when he faces one of the top 160's he will get beaten no question.
