Amazing Cotto-Mosely undercard
The three-bout pay-per-view undercard for the November 10th Mosely-Cotto card in NYC is complete. Former welterweight champion Antonio Margarito will take on Golden Johnson in a 12-round battle for the vacant WBO Intercontinental welterweight title.
In addition, Joel Casamayor will defend his WBC interim lightweight title against former WBC interim lightweight champion Jose Armando Santa Cruz and Victor Ortiz will be taking a big step up when he faces former super lightweight champion Carlos Maussa in a 10-round welterweight rumble.

That's not bad for an undercard, is it? This is going to be some night of boxing.

Re: Amazing Cotto-Mosely undercard
Add exciting aussie youngster Billy Dib, fighting NABF champ Rogers Mtagwa as well i believe.
-
Re: Amazing Cotto-Mosely undercard
Good to see Joel Casamayor FINALLY back in the mix...should carry it.
See how much he has left!
Margarito coming back on the warpath against Olden Johnson. He'll continue to be dismissed and doubted......and avoided!!Top notch Fighter who deserves respect.
This is an awesome card ;D
Ohh Mosley breakdown Tko 10 Vs. Cotto in a classic..

Re: Amazing Cotto-Mosely undercard
Yeh I can't wait for this night.

HAHA, I wish I could say those words myself...
As for the card. It certanly has some great names but as for the fights themselves, they will probably all be one sided afairs....cept, of course, for the main event which will be a fwokin nail biter.

I'm going out on the 8th from Manchester with the Mrs. Been looking forward to this for months. Cheers bro, I will do ;D ...Oh...and Cotto to be the first man to KO Mosley. I'm a believer.

Re: Amazing Cotto-Mosely undercard
Dudes I can't wait for this fight, actually these fights ;D Margarito has got to be pissed it's not him fighting Cotto and I would venture to say he'll be in top form to beat down Foldin' Johnson. I'm almost as excited to see Tony fight as I am to see Cotto/Mosley. I still got Mosley by lare round k.o. over Cotto, though I'm wondering if this is the year of the young guns ???
-
Re: Amazing Cotto-Mosely undercard
That's one great undercard but mostly one-sided ;D
-
Re: Amazing Cotto-Mosely undercard
It's a great undercard, and that's part of the reason why this is the best PPV of the year. Arum has been doing a great job of putting together strong undercards. The Cotto-Judah fight had a good undercard as well, with Chavez Jr. and Humberto Soto.
I'll be in stands at MSG, I can't wait.

If I wasn't worried about delayed suicide...I might skip this fight & wait for the result on line...the suspense is killing me.
I honestly don't want to see Cotto lose...as I am mortified that he will...but if he were to handle Mosley like he did Judah or Abdullaev...I'd be a happy ass Cotto fan...but this is the real world...& the names Mosley, Judah, & Abdullaev shouldn't even be rattled off in the same sentence.
Mosley by late TKO or lop sided decision...& it kills me to say so.

I actually am a big fan of both, and really don't care who wins. I'd like to see Mosley win because I want his career to end with wins; Cotto I want to win because I get a feeling he'll get put in a very critical light if he doesn't, kind of like Margarito, plus I always hate to see a fighter lose his undefeated record. Either one will probably/hopefully get a shot with Mayweather{if he beats Hatton}; I just don't know which one I would rather see get that shot, probably pulling for Mosley a bit.
-
Re: Amazing Cotto-Mosely undercard
I like both these guys, but I'm rooting for Cotto, and also I think he will win.
In my opinion, if you don't have a specific rooting interest, then you should root for Cotto, because a Cotto win is better for the sport.
If Mosley wins, he's already 36 years old, which means he's only got a couple big fights left in him anyways. Whereas if Cotto wins, he becomes an even bigger star than he already is, and at 27 years old, he could be a star for a long time to come.

I respect Mosley...& I think that he is a phenom of a fighter...but I have never considered myself a "died in the wool fan", so to speak.
Cotto is a different story. I have followed Cotto since day one & can honeslty say that I don't think that I could live with boxing without Cotto. His fights are always explosive & I have never seen a fight that I didn't like...even the ones that he had issues during. Cotto is one of those fighters that is great for boxing.
Agreed that I hate to see a fighter lose his undefeated record also...but losing it to Mosley wouldn't be a bad thing...but imagine if he kept it by winning against Mosley...FANTASTIC!!!
Mosley has proven that he aint old, he's still a champion, & that he's one of the top draws (not to be confused with drawers) of boxing.
Defeating Cotto would be a great notch to apply to one's belt...but not as great as adding Mosley as one of the loops.
This fight has great written all over it...but the suspense if fuckin killing the Wackster.
Could easily be FOTY...or FONY. ;D :-X :P

Good point; I have thought that in the bigger picture a win for Cotto is better just because he'll be here a long time, while Mosley is on his way out. Out with the old, in with the new, as you said. I just like Mosley so much, it'll be hard.

Yeah Mosley has shown he's not old yet, but Cotto is someone who could make him old in about 6 rounds, definately by the end of the fight. By the way, what the hell is a FONY??? {Phony} ??? ;D

Theyv'e already chosen FOTY for this year...FONY?
FONY is Fight Of Next Year.
Sorry...I always stupidly feel that everyone is a mind reader.

It's gr8 that both you & I are the only ones who can brag about that. With the undercard as well, not seeing this live should be an oppertunity missed. Thankfully, I'll be there.

Dude, c'mon, keep the faith. I secretly have the same fear with Ricky, but I'm believing he can pull it off.

Well, I'll try. Every prediction I've made this year has been way off{except for Pavlik/Miranda}, so I just get use to being wrong :-\

Hell yeah, we're actually getting spoiled. As good or probably better than the Pavlik/Taylor undercard. I wish it could have been Judah/Margarito though on this card ;D

well it wud be competitive until he gets hit. always get that impression with Judah
