Cotto because he's a great fighter and I'm a huge fan. I also think it would be better for the sport in the sense that SSM is older,he's not going to carry on for much longer whereas Miguel is young and could be a potential superstar at some point.
Do I really need to vote?
Cotto all the way my 1st prediction when the fight was in the horizon was Cotto TKO and now that the fight is closer I stand by prediction and say Cotto TKO.
I've seen this guy develope throughout the years from a robotical body puncher, to a pressure fighter, to a boxer, then tactical body puncher, to what we see now. Before in his very early fights all we saw was body punching, then he swtiched it up a bit and boxed more then he started the body pucnhing but more tactically and with a plan. Now we see straight rights followed by hooks to the head and body, double jabs and ring movement. I remember when Cotto won his 1st title agains former WBC lightweight champ Cesar Bazan who IMO was Cottos 1st step up in class test. Cotto showed he belonged there in that ring Bazan tested Cotto after Bazan was down early in the fight Cotto probably thought easy win here but nope Bazan bounced back and thru 11 rounds until Cotto just punished him to the body.
Can't wait for Nov. 10th it's gonna be great.
Something that caught my attention earlier.
SSM is 2-0 vs. Puerto Rican fighters and hes TKO'd both guys.
SSM is 3-1 when hes fought at MSG but remember they changed ring now so it's not the same ring.
(Collazo is of Puerto Rican decent but he was born here in the US so I didn't count him)
sik fight m8 but mosley 2 gd a 2 fast 4 him m8
Even though I'm not a fan of his, I'm going with Cotto. Only because a Cotto vs. Mayweather fight would be a better (more exciting) fight than Mayweather vs. Mosley.
Plus, Mosley is kinda getting up there in years and I would hate to see people take away from Mayweather fighting (beating ;)) Mosley using age.............. like a lot of people did with Oscar.
Having said that, I still think that Mosley wins this one a lot more convincingly than most people think it's gonna be.
Mosley by UD, with an early round knockdown to boot.
I am probably missing something Frozen, but how can he have a UD and an early round k.o.??? Anyways, I'm going with Mosley, even though I know as far as the future of boxing Cotto is going to be a star and all that. I just like Mosley a bit more, that's all, and when it's said and done I really don't care. I still will stand by my prediction{though I'm always wrong} that Mosley will win by k.o.. I had said Mosley would do it late in the fight, but really now I think he will have to do the damage early and get Cotto out of there or late rounds he'll be in trouble. So 7th round k.o. for what it's worth.Quote:

As far as power....while Shane isn't the knockout artist he was as a lightweight...at 147...he is just as strong as Cotto. That leaves the intangibles. Experience clearly favors Shane. Shane has the better chin. The big advantage Cotto has is that he is the younger fighter...which in turn could mean he has more stamina. If Shane doesn't grow old in this fight...i just see him having too much skill and athleticism for Cotto. But if Shane cannot handle Cotto's pressure and looses gas...then clearly the younger Cotto will prevail.
I like em both and as most of you know by now i don't root for anything but a good fight most times. I would give shane and edge due to his speed, foot movement, and experience.
I pick Mosely by UD or real late tko. Cotto just isnt my cup o tea. He is a bit dirty IMO. I noticed when Zab had some momentum and was picking up on him, he immediately reverted to his dirty shots. Dont tell me that low blow didnt have a big effect on the fight. Cotto may get DQ'd because its gonna be hard to rough up Shane he knows all the tricks.

It's funny with Cotto, every fight I always start out rooting for his opponent for the most part and then Cotto always wins me over. Then I think how much I like Cotto and what he brings to the ring, but by the time his next fight is up I'm always rooting for his opponent again.
That could be because I usually push for the underdog, and it seems like whoever Cotto fights is the under dog.
I view shane as the underdog in this fight, but not by much. Because of age and Cotto's pressure.
I am looking forward to a great fight no matter who wins

I think Mosley pulls off the last big win of his career and stops Cotto late. A Cotto win wouldn't bother me at all. Since I think he's an outstanding fighter. But I see Mosley taking the fight
This fight will probably go the distance and in that case, I will pick Cotto, since he will most likely be the more active fighter who comes forward. Mosley has not been a destructive force in the ring at 147-154. Yes, he has a good chin, speed, is always in good shape, but his recent fights, with the exception of Vargas II, have not been overwhelming victories. Vargas I was very close, estrada made Shane uncomfortable at times, and even Collazo was able to land on Mosley. Mosley seems to win decisions, but not all that dominating. I also see him do a lot of holding and only Hatton holds more, in my opinion. Cotto has shown the ability to adapt, and does a good job of preventing his opponents from holding him. Still, Mosley seems to find a way to win, and he's crafty, and that's why I will give him the distance, but not the victory. Or, maybe I am biased because I like Cotto, but either way, that's how I see the fight (whether reality or in my dreams).
I like both fighters, but Cotto is the future while SSM is winding down his career, plus I really, really want to see PBF-Cotto at some point. So I picked Cotto.
I think SSM is going to win though - too fast, too experienced, and I'm willing to bet he hits harder than Zab, who shook Cotto in their fight. Plus SSM is a better finished than Zab.
I like Cotto and I feel like most about his future...It will be one where he becomes one of top 10 unless some type of unforeseen occurance happens...With that being said....
Mosley is an ATG IMO he is also the best boxer Cotto has faced with the speed and punch to go with it...37 out of 44 wins are by KO...I also think Cotto does not have the best chin and Mosley has all the ability to check it
Cotto has had trouble with boxers in the past...Mosley is also looking for one high note to retire on...Mosley has only lost to excellent boxers...a prime forrest and Winky wright......
IMO the combination of all things outlined will be too much for Cotto and he will lose by UD....after going down a couple of times in the process
frozen can you clarify this one for me.Quote:

Its hard to think of another Bout That I am wanting And waiting to see.
I really am earning alot of respect lately for Cotto as a Balls to the wall pressure fighter.Mosley is a Fighter that I Have "evolved" on and really went from Dislike to Now much respect.
I like Mosley By Mid to late "Bust Up"TKo an a true test of courage and heart.I see Cotto early on as being kept off balance with Mosley working Constant angles and ripping body and rt.hands.Cotto WILL NOT concede ground and will employ buu-koo power and fast hands as well.
Maybe its unfair but I cannot stop thinking of the early rnds In Cotto V. Judah.Judah side to side had Cotto Literally Lurching forward and in a Perilous situation.MOsley needs to maintain discipline and footwork here and RESPECT Cottos Recouping ability's.Do not sit down or load up EARLY.I think Handspeed in conjunction with shifty angles with short combos by Mosley will prevail.Cotto ,Imo will find himself reacting alot and I think He should concentrate specifically on Body Of Mosley and Hard hooks as Mosley Pivots .GREAT FIGHT.IM ready for re-match already
I think if you just look at it from a neutral perspective Cotto winning would be clearly better for the sport. That and the fact that I'm becoming a Cotto fan I'm definitely going for Cotto. But Shane's not a guy that I usually root against, its just good for the younger guys to start to take over.
Agreed, I don't think there's any doubt about that.Quote:
