So, who here is going to see one of the big fights in-person?
Post here if you've actually got tickets to one of the big upcoming fights. I'm interested to know how many people here are going to be seeing the fights live.
Calzaghe-Kessler
Marquez-Juarez
Cotto-Mosley
Mormeck-Haye
Soto-Guzman
Mayweather-Hatton
I'll be at Cotto-Mosley at Madison Square Garden. Can't wait.

You guys are lucky. I've never been to a live fight, in fact the closest I've come is probably watching sparring at the gym.

Re: So, who here is going to see one of the big fights in-person?
I'll be going to my fourth or fifth Calzaghe fight this weekend, having seen him in Manchester against Lacy, Manfredo Jr, Evans Ashira and Jimenez are the ones I've been to, and I think I'm even more excited about this one than the Lacy fight.
I've also been to a few boxing bills in Wales, but the one I'd love to see is Mayweather v Hatton. The number of tickets is so small its inevitable to make it very exclusive "I was there" moment.

Re: So, who here is going to see one of the big fights in-person?
I wanted to attend the Cotto/Mosley fight at the Garden but was a bit pricey with Christmas coming and all. I opted for a bit cheaper, less exciting night out at the fights instead and will be attending the Nonito Donaire Vs Luis Maldonado fight at Foxwoods. Dencent card though, Vernon Forrest defends his belt against Michele Piccirillo also Antonio Tarver will be fighting along with Vic Darchinyan on the undercard. Still do not know who they are facing?

Re: So, who here is going to see one of the big fights in-person?
I'll be at the Hatton v Mayweather fight can't wait, especially since my old man is paying for the full package flights, hotel and $300 fight ticket. Haven't been to a fight since Woods v Johnsen III at Bolton. Nearly at the JC v MK but left it bit late to start arranging transport( i live about 280 miles away) and enough lads to fill limo. Can't wait for 8.12.07 got a bar on just thinking about it :Bannanacow: :Bannanacow:

I can imagine...it sounds absolutely amazing. Wish I had the kind of money to be able to get over there and watch it, even on the big screen outside, but it should be a sensational few days.

Re: So, who here is going to see one of the big fights in-person?
No way would the missus ever let me spend that sort of money on a fight but me dad and me mum both got and beat cancer in the last two years an i think it's made him f&%k it! why not and our lass can't really argue with that.

I agree that the prices are a bit too pricey at the Garden. I have seen Cotto three years in a row to see Cotto (Abdullaev, Malignaggi, and Judah) and the tickets were not as expensive as this upcoming fight. I know Mosley is a better opponent, but for that price I'd rather watch the fight with the fellas at home. I have never been to Foxwoods, but I have been to Mohegan Sun twice and any seat there is a good seat, no matter the price. I assume the same goes for Foxwoods. And the prices are more reasonable.

Ya they definitely raised the prices for this fight. I paid the exact same $$ for my tickets to the Judah fight as I am for the Mosley fight, but I was sitting 10 rows from the ring at the Judah fight, and I'm in the third deck for the Mosley fight.

Exactly! That's why I am sitting front row on my couch and paying the 49.99 or whatever it is on pay perview (not that I am cheap or anything). ;)

If it was not in December I would more then likely go but like I said Christmas is coming and the extra $$ can be spent on the kids, My neighbors and I usually split PPv's three ways so comes to about $20 each give or take, I have some family and friends up un Conn near Foxwoods we only see a few times a year so I will be killing two birds with one stone, The ladies will sit and have their coffee talk while the fellows go to the fights.
Like the Mohegan Sun most seats at Foxwoods are good seats so nothing to complain about. I miss the old days when there were local fights all the time, I am one of those guys who really does not care who is on the card I just like the atmosphere

Re: So, who here is going to see one of the big fights in-person?
What I would give to go to Mosley/Cotto or Hatton/Mayweather. Me and my Mrs have split recently and im having to buy her out (her share of our house) which is costing me an arm and a leg. I will be lucky to be able to afford the PPV at the moment. :'( :'(
Anyone that goes make sure you post loads of pics!!

Re: So, who here is going to see one of the big fights in-person?
going to the calzaghe-kessler fight, can't wait..
Was at the rpesser today, was a cracker, fair play to both fighters, both very respectful and pro's - kessler seems to be a tidy bloke.
Can't wait for the weigh-in 2morrow.
