Klitschko-Sultan Feb. 23 Madison Square Garden Fire Poll: Who wins and why??
I dont think its signed yet but it is being reported on several sites that both fighters and negotiation teams want this fight and the contract negotiations are going very well...
Wlad is my fav fighter....So i'm biased but i think wlad is at his peak physically, and for him more importantly, mentally and emotionally... And that equals complete domination of any of his opponents...
I dont just think wlad would beat anyone in the world put in the ring with him, he would would KO anyone put in the ring with him...ANYONE....
So wlad by KO for me...
I'm really excited this fight is being made.... ;D

Re: Klitschko-Sultan Feb. 23 Madison Square Garden Fire Poll: Who wins and why??
I think Wlad KO's him. Sultan's a lot smaller than Wlad and I haven't seen anything from him in his last couple of fights that makes me think he can beat the beat heavyweight out there.
If Evander Holyfield (when he actually through a punch) could hit him with a clean right hand and half-ass stun him, Wlad will decapitate Sultan.

Re: Klitschko-Sultan Feb. 23 Madison Square Garden Fire Poll: Who wins and why??
Wlad by KO....say what you will about Wlad's chin but Sultan got floored by RAY AUSTIN who Wladimir beat without throwing 1 right cross

Re: Klitschko-Sultan Feb. 23 Madison Square Garden Fire Poll: Who wins and why??
The best thing about this fight is that it gets us closer to an undisputed champ. As a spectacle i think it will suck because i think Sultan will just try and survive, and Wladdy will jab his way to an easy win.

Re: Klitschko-Sultan Feb. 23 Madison Square Garden Fire Poll: Who wins and why??
Ibragimov can give Wlad much more of a contest than Austin or Brewster did recently, but Wlad is just too strong and too skilled. Wlad's only weakness is his chin, but Ibragimov is not a puncher at all.
Wlad either by TKO or a lopsided decision.

Here's the thing...Sultan is an interesting match up...but only for 4-5 rounds...& that's not enough to faulter Klitcshko. Maybe it materializes...maybe not...but one thing is for sure...it'll be a fun won to watch. I really can't see anyother outcome besides Wlad stompking that livinging shit outta the poor man.

Re: Klitschko-Sultan Feb. 23 Madison Square Garden Fire Poll: Who wins and why??
Ibragimov is a fairly good fighter but lacks punching power. He couldn't drop Briggs or Holyfield. I think Vlad will K.O him before the half way mark.

Sultan has good power he fought a hispanic fighter in 06 i think and it was one of the KOs of the year, but steward has fine tuned wlads jab and sultan in the end is simply to small for Wlad...
sultan will get murdered on his way inside, and although he has a punchers chance against an average chin wlad, wlad probably wont give sultan the chance if he uses his jab correctly...
and if sultan tries to outbox like he has been doing, wlad will blast him with the jab until he lines up his steel hammer right and destroys sultan with a career altering straight right....
and thats if he doesnt get Ko'd by wlads devastating left hook

Re: Klitschko-Sultan Feb. 23 Madison Square Garden Fire Poll: Who wins and why??
Ibragimov style is made for Wlad. I see Wlad taking him out early.

Sultan's size is made for Wlad...
sultan has a good south-paw defence and good combos, actually he has a good style to beat wlad (other than massive power) but he is too small and his arms to short to reach wlad.
klitch will spank sultan with his jab until the right cross ends it.

Re: Klitschko-Sultan Feb. 23 Madison Square Garden Fire Poll: Who wins and why??
....what is that based on Fire?
If it's the Sanders fight then you are SORELY MISTAKEN.
Sanders had a good chin a SNEAKY left cross and no fear of losing anything because he had nothing to lose in the first place.
Sultan needs to be on the inside, he doesn't take a good shot, and he's a small fry. RAY AUSTIN wore out Sultan and that's all we need to know.
The first right cross Wladdy lands it's goodnight sweetheart

Re: Klitschko-Sultan Feb. 23 Madison Square Garden Fire Poll: Who wins and why??
I choose Wladamir by KO. Sultan has never faced anyone of Wlads caliber size or skill wise. Sultan could not outbox Wlad, he could not outmuscle Wlad and he could not control the tempo of the fight.
In this fight I see Wlad using the first round to feel Sultan out a bit but once he starts to connect he will go in for the kill witout hesitation, look what Wlad did to Ray Austin the man who gave Sultan his toughest bout to date. The first three punch combo or straight right Wlad lands flush ends the night.

Re: Klitschko-Sultan Feb. 23 Madison Square Garden Fire Poll: Who wins and why??
Wlad to KO him. It's too soon for Ibragimov. He should be pushing to get Chagaev or Peter in the ring instead...then think about fighting Wlad.
Wlad is too powerful with either hand, and these days uses his reach so well that Sultan would get tagged on the way in every time he'd try to land a punch.

He beat a poorly prepared and badly out of shape Javier Mora, admittedly in impressive fashion, but there's a huge different between that and being even remotely competitive with Wlad.

truthfully i think you took my comment out of context or something i dont really know what your talking about...
first austin far from "wore out" sultan... they had a draw in a sluggish boring match..
i guess you are talking about me saying sultan style is good for wlad's..
if he was a inside fighter, which he is not, he would get hammered by the jab on the way in, like byrd did, fighting on the inside with wlad when you are only about 6'2 isnt even an option..
so i was saying since he already has his stick and move going, and he is a lefty, will keep him around a little longer against wlad..
but my main point in all of my posts have been that whatever style sultan uses wont work because ultimatly he is just to small for wlad...

what's your point??? how does that contrast anything i said??
you said he doesnt have good punching power, and i said he had one of the KO's of the year proving, he might be the hardest puncher in the world, but obviously he has power.. he knocked mora completely unconscious..you have to have power to do that .... dont get me wrong he isnt powerful enough for klitch to worry about because he wont hardly get close enough to land a power shot
he doesnt try to throw power shots against much bigger opponents.. and he fought cautiously against holyfield for some reason..

Re: Klitschko-Sultan Feb. 23 Madison Square Garden Fire Poll: Who wins and why??
I never said he had no punching power, in fact I think Sultan has decent punching power, almost all heavyweights have some degree of punching power by virtue of the weight they can put behind their punches. I was simply putting your example of his supposed punching power in perspective; Mora was an easy target because he was out of shape and underprepared, thus he was unable to avoid being knocked out.

No worries Fire, I probably could have been clearer in what I was trying to say anyways. CC returned

he cant get to the inside without getting ko'd in 3 rounds, it's not an option for someone of his size. once he got inside he would be stunned from the jabs and the moment he did get inside wlad would tie him up... he cant plan on fighting an inside fight......
yes sanders is the perfect example of what the match COULD BE LIKE if sultan was as big and as powerful as sanders was... either he would get ko'd in the 1-5th or wlad would. it is a good style to beat wlad, but above everything - power is what is needed to beat wlad..
like i said, i dont think anyone including sanders right now could stay in the ring 12 rounds with wlad w/out getting ko'd
i seen the sultan and austin fight and was REALLY unimpressed with both.. i expected austin to get smoked by wlad but it seems like sultan has improved alot, although i think ruslan would KO sultan......
the only reason i am interested in this bout is because ive wanted to see wlad unify for years, and this is his chance.... i think there is probably about a 95% chance of wlad winning

Re: Klitschko-Sultan Feb. 23 Madison Square Garden Fire Poll: Who wins and why??
I didn't read through everyone's posts...no offense...but Wlad will easily win & humiliate Sultan.
-
Re: Klitschko-Sultan Feb. 23 Madison Square Garden Fire Poll: Who wins and why??
....at least Chagaev can take a punch.
Sultan was hyped up and just hasn't lived up to expectations.....Wladimir will just mop the floor with him

Nah I said that. I just go on that when he fought Briggs, Briggs was not even trying hard and sultan still couldn't get to him and with the fight with a 40-something-year-old Holyfield he couldn't really knock him either.
Don't get me wrong, I respect the guy! Just I respect Vlad more and believe Vlad would take him.

Re: Klitschko-Sultan Feb. 23 Madison Square Garden Fire Poll: Who wins and why??
the only way sultan would win cause of some crazy left
